I recently purchased a 2016 BMW M4 Competition Package in Mineral White. I found Derek Baker to be extremely professional, knowledgeable & friendly. Trading in my 2017 Mercedes C43 AMG was a breeze, the whole experience was a pleasure. I would highly recommend purchasing a used car from Specialist Cars in Stevenage. I was lucky enough to be able to deal with Derek, who made sure that all the work I asked to be done to the vehicle, was in fact carried out. Again, highly recommended.

Tried to buy a new X1 and had the worst experience. The salesman kept me waiting 30 mins for pre-booked appointment. They did not have car I requested in advance for my test drive, I was given a 3-year old car. Nevertheless I still decided to buy a new X1. Signed the paperwork on 30 May 2021, and the new car was expected to be delivered in Sept, I asked fir this to be early Sept. I received a video of Steve on 30 May but since then, no updates about my car. I phoned and could not get hold of Steve. I spoke to the manager once who would not tell me when my new car was expected, but implied they may give me a part exchange deal on my old car. Left messages for The salesman which were not returned. Finally spoke to The salesman today and new car now expected in November! The part exchange deal for my old car has not materialised. I understand that the pandemic has caused major disruption but can’t excuse the extremely poor customer service from Specialist Cars. I have now cancelled the order for my car snd requested a refund of my deposit. I can’t believe I was phoned back within a few minutes to process the refund! The best customer service I have had in this whole awful process. Unlike other dealerships, the Specialist Cars website does not mention possible delays due to the pandemic. Very sad to see that the best dealership has now become the worst. Their sales customer service is now as poor as the appalling customer service in the car service centre. I would like to give them zero stars but can’t. Avoid like the plague!

I had a wonderful experience purchasing my BMW 330e, clean car for a good price. this was on of the easiest dealership that i have dealt with, the process was stress free and pleasant. Lee Wadsworth was very helpful and efficient made sure everything was covered, he had politely answered very question amazing sales person and Ian Payne had made the fiance process made the process really smooth and quick, I recommended anyone to go see Lee Wadsworth. Thank very much you for the good service, will be back for next upgrade.

I have had the pleasure of purchasing cars from Specialist Motors for quite a number of years. The reason I go back there is because of their ability to look after their customers and provide extensive information based on customer requirements. My latest purchase was from their Stevenage BMW branch. The service I received from all the staff there was 100%. They had also gone to a lot of trouble to ensure distancing was in place which was very reassuring. Thank you.

Took my 3 series to this dealer to have the Advanced Eye dash cam fitted. As I was driving home I noticed dirty marks on the trim covering the "A "Pillar. I also noticed that the trim had not been refitted correctly and there was a gap where the trim meets the roof lining. When I opened the boot I noticed a scraping noise when the boot was opened and closed. The next day I returned to the dealer, by which time the camera was no longer working. The service rep managed to fix the issue with the boot by adjusting the trim adjacent to the fuse box. He told me that the trim by the "A" pillar had been refitted correctly but I disputed this. The car went into the workshop to see why the camera was no longer working. They found that the camera had blown 2 fuses. This was due to a wire being left exposed when they fitted the camera. This caused a short circuit. After being at the dealership for about 2 hours the work was completed. The service rep simply came to me and said "it's all done, your car is outside" NOT ONE WORD OF APOLOGY for the fact that I had a round trip of 45 miles to return the vehicle and wasted a total of 3 hours of my time due to their errors. When I got in my car the trim by the "A" pillar had miraculously been fitted correctly with no gap at the top.
Enjoyed our BMWs, but will never buy one again due to the woeful service experience. There is absolutely no customer focus and less professionalism. Fortunately the German car independent round the corner is excellent.
These are just glorified cowboys with money. They don't treat customers with respect, all they want is your money, and as soon as you pay they don't care any further and move to the next victim. Never called back despite several promises. Scratched my car during service and failed to let me know. Lost my keys and pretended like it was nothing. Never again
