I recently bought a Mazda from these people.The salesman seemed like a decent bloke.As a pensioner I put my faith in him.Wrong decision because unknown to me the car had accident damage which had been repaired not through any insurance.After buying the car it was spotted by a body repair friend in the motor trade who has a trained eye.The car had severe damage on the near side doors and quarter panel.The oil and filter had not been changed as the oil was dirty black.It should have been a nice golden brown for a petrol engine with 29k on the clock.I had it changed along with other filters. Make if you are buying a car from Spencer’s that you check the oil via the dipstick, something they should have done.Secondly either take a trained person with you or take a good magnet to check for body filler. Spencer’s would not even as a good will gesture offer me 1k back off a £ 9700 car which I requested. I am gutted by these people and feel that I had been robbed.Even Dick Turpin had the decency to wear a mask. BEWARE.

I purchased my car and I travel 200 miles to collect it, from the beginning I was happy, car was very clean, collection without issues. Later I started having a weird noise from the suspension, I went to the local halfords garage to check it and they said front suspension went and I would need to pay nearly 500 pounds for the repair, I didn't want to deal with warranty as I was not even able to go back to the dealership with damaged suspension so I decided to repair in my local halfords garage, but I personally think if they would check the car properly before sell, they would be able to find this issue and sort it out instead of selling car like that.. Then unfortunetely I lost my service book and from december 2023 I did contact spencer car sales several times by email/phone/chat and ask them to just give me mileage and dates so I can fill up my new service book with correct service history(how long does it take for them? 2 minutes?), but only empty promises they are saying "we will call you back" or "someone will be in touch" as I can see they are not willing to help now, shocking customer service. I would not use spencer car sales again, I preffer to pay more and go to the local showroom as if something happend I can go directly to the dealer and sort it out, instead of empty promisses on the phone

Please don’t buy your car from this garage,we have had nothing but trouble with the car and the same goes for the customer service!!! All very nice before we bought car but afterwards total rubbish service..please go somewhere else Would give no stars if possible

And just like that it's on. Spencers Car Sales After purchasing a car from them not even 6 months ago we've had a clutch go. we was given 3 months warranty and the clutch went at 4 months, we had a volvo breakdown service come to our house and if they can rectify the issue at the property they would but the technician stated the clutch had gone. Not knowing we were able to take the car back to spencers we took it to volvo car dealership we've taken all our used/second hand volvos too and we was shocked with what they had told us. NOT ONLY WAS THE CLUTCH GONE the timing belt was on its way out, the sub frame wasn't on correctly causing the car to drive to the left. And every part was aftermarket cheap parts. After reading up and finding out after the fact from the customers consumers right act to actually go back to where we had bought the car that a fault had occurred before the 6 months of ownership we did so to be told a LIE that the part that had failed (the clutch) had been changed before purchase. we never received any sort of documentation stating this nor did they STATE THIS UPON PURCHASING!! The VOLVO dealership we took it to said it was in poor condition. Now that Spencers have been made aware they've now sent us some documentation stating it was done which they could of VERY EASILY MADE UP TODAY!!!! We got the car at 73,687 mile on the 16/07/2020 and the document they sent over the date is 29/07/2020 milage is 65,852 please tell me how that adds up!! They are trying to make out like it was done when we enquired about the car and was changed because we bought the car!! And then claiming VOLVO are lying!! They have no reason to lie to us but you do. Absolutely disgusting customer service and the worse we had from from any car dealership. Not only have we had an issue with the clutch our display screen has stopped working and now this is still within the 6th month they won't sort that out either. I would NEVER recommend this company. They lie, the forge documentation, they state their customers are lying. we have no reason to lie nor do volvo. you are a small ran car garage with very bad customer service and after care. I dont know how you expect customers to act when you're claiming we are lying! we have no reason to and the paper work speaks the truth!! Paper work is in the comment section Please share this forks they have ripped Wayne Rip Jade off.

I bought my car last April from Spencers and it was serviced upon my purchase by Spencers. I have now had the MOT done and had a service carried out as the service lights came on, which shouldn't have been the case as it was SUPPOSEDLY serviced by the dealer before I purchased it. I have now had new brake discs and pads fitted as they were down to the metal front and back, apparently on the service there was loads of life left in them. We had white smoke pouring out of the exhaust, which is a sign of unclean diesel only to be shown by the garage the diesel filter was the original filter dated 2012 by Nissan (yes it did have the date on the filter and it was the original Nissan filter) and have now been told that this part has never been changed. I only do 5,000 miles a year!! I would not recomend buying a car ever from this garage, beware.
