I have thought long and hard about posting this review, as I understand what a bad review can mean to a business. The theme you will note from the reviews left before ,is that as soon as you have an issue with your car, the initial charm and professional approach SR motors project, goes very quickly, the after sales service is non existent, in fact its awful. I bought a car from SR motors and within an hour of collection I had an issue with wheel balance/vibration through the steering wheel, after phoning SR John(salesman) advised me to take it to a local garage and have the balance done and they would reimburse me, which was fair enough. after taking the car in they informed me that the ball joints had gone that, I had one tyre 98% worn with a huge bulge and that I had a substantial crack internally in my alloy wheel. After I contacted SR motors and spoke to John, from the outset he made me feel like I was a nuisance and he kept refering to the fact that he could not throw away Saj (the owners) money and that he was simply a messenger. As a customer this is not my concern and I simply wanted my issues resolved and to get the car in the physical condition I had paid for. John constantly makes excuses in relation to what he has the authority to commit to, this is an issue when you are not dealing directly with the person who can make decisions. To be fair, I have now had the issues predominantly resolved and once I actually spoke to Saj we came to an agreement amicably although it did end with me spending £150 pounds within 2 weeks of buying a car in repairs. I collected my car today and I was supposed to collect £100 pounds to cover some of the repairs that I have already paid for, John then asked me to sign a waver to say that I would not make any further complaints in relation to my car, or he would not give me the £100 previously promised to me!! BE VERY, VERY CAREFUL IF BUYING A CAR FROM SR MOTORS.

I have a worse review than yours , watch this space
Overall SR Motor company was okay, wasn't massively impressed but as a whole it wasn't bad either. There was a few little issues with the car but that should be expected with a used car. Just an average dealership!

Hi this was my first time dealing with a second hand garage to purchase a car. I must say that I was pleasantly surprised with the service and most of all the car that I purchased. I had looked at a few BMW 3 series privately over a space of a couple of months. I googled garages and this one came up! Highly recommend SR Motor Company and would use again.

Very smooth deal, traded my car in at SR Motor Company, agreed a deal and the rest was history - brilliant.
Travelled over 200 miles to buy an Audi TT from SR Motor Company. Wheel bearing failed on drive home, reported the next morning to John Trench (Salesman). Followed his advice to use the RAC warranty and have the car repaired at any VAT registered garage. Took the car to the local Audi technician, he advised the rear wheel bearing and rear brake pads needed replacing to make the car safe.....but the RAC warranty didn't cover the work. Contacted John Trench again, whom advised to have the car repaired and send the invoice to them for payment. The work was carried out at discounted rate y the garage, with the total coming to a very reasonable £313. All efforts to have this refunded have been completely refused by the garage owners and the salesman. Disgraceful conduct, avoid like the plague!!!!!
Myself and my partner was looking for a new car for us mainly for myself due to me having my test and our other car being too high on insurance, went on Sunday for a look, got the car by the Wednesday! So so quick can't fault the car or the service we received from sr motor company and especially John who we can't thank enough, will continue to use them for cars in the future .. happy 😊
Do not buy from this garage. Sold me a car with a full years mot (there own garage), within months buts were going wrong and cost me a fortune. Went to get an mot on it and have been told it's too bad, totally rotten underneath (mechanics hand went through it) and dangerous. Haven't seen anything as bad as this. This has not just happened in time I have had it. Tried to contact garage but being ignored. Fuming!! Basically I now have a scrap car which I paid a decent amount of money for. Trading standards here I come.

Hi same here purchased a car end of January, brakes went in a day of driving it, was told as I needed to get it seen to and pay out to get it safe to drive, they were not paying for repairs or fixing other issue with the caliper! Val and Saj said it was mot and service done which garage said in no way had it passed an mot! or been serviced. My finance company is dealing with it and I am talking to trading standards. Last contact with val was an abusive call telling me if I dont take down bad reviews they will not pay me back or fix the car, to be honest I would not let them fix a peddle bike, so same boat here hope you get somewhere with getting your money back. Regards Dennis.
Surprisingly good experience. Having visited a competitor for my last car, I don't have a great deal of time for what I perceive as sleazy second hand car salesmen. The people here were different. Free drinks and wifi kept my kids happy, immediate test drive, all paperwork quickly completed. The only bit I wasn't as keen on was waiting around for someone to be available to complete my order. That said, I was able to drive away immediately once complete and the after care has been exceptional. No hesitations recommending SR Motor Company to friends and we'll use again.
Picked up our new car, 1 day later brakes grinding, took it back after calling then taking car back Val said to busy no one to look at it, on way to kwik fit as was worried driving it brakes seized, kwik fit said it should never have passed mot days before. No pads discs corroded, and caliper needs replacing. I have checked online and they have awful reviews from many sources, SR Motor Company treat customers very badly and will take car in for repair hang on till 30 days up and your warranty expired. I will be taking this all the way. I am appalled they sell vehicles in the condition mine was in and then lie about mot and service.
I am happy with my Honda Civic from SR Motor Company Limited. I have had one issue with the car that I have had to pay out for to get it resolved due to it not being covered by the warranty but the car was clean and in good condition when I received it and it is very good value for money. I would recommend this dealership.
