I was lead to believe I was buying a car off St Clements Cars forecourt, unfortunately I didn’t. The director of the garage is allowing his son to illegally/ privately sell cars on the side of the forecourt. We weren’t made aware and after a problem with the car they refused to even look at the car, and refused the rejection of the vehicle. I would steer clear of this garage, they are deceitful, and unhelpful. I believe they knew there was an engine fault and hoped it wouldn’t appear until the apparent 1 month warrenty finished. This was 1 week after purchasing the vehicle. My daughter is devastated that her first car and her own money has resulted in an awful experience and a broken car with no offer of help from the seller.

Having read some negative reviews I thought I’d do my research myself. Having looked on Autotrader they have 5 stars which are verified so I thought I’d give them a go! I seen the car advertised on Autotrader and called to arrange a viewing. I could only do out of their hours due to work but Nick said there was no problem with this. First impressions of the car were good, very clean inside and out. I was handed the Keys with no pushy sales talk and given a test drive on my own which I liked as I felt under no pressure. I decided to take the car after being offered a decent deal including Warranty and collected 2 days later. I have now had the car for 2 weeks and really enjoying my new car, thanks Nick and I will definitely recommend to others.
The car was advertised on Auto trader with around 30 pictures but you can never really tell the condition by these so I phoned and asked for a video. I spoke with the owner Nick and he made me a video and sent it to me. Arranged to see the car and it was certainly as described if not better! I had some Finance on the car through a reputable company and was also given 6 months Warranty. I have had the car for 6 weeks now and very happy with my purchase. Thanks Nick keep up the good work.

I see the car on Autotrader and called the garage for details. I spoke with Nick who described the condition of the car, I was happy to leave a deposit subject to viewing. On arrival the car was very well presented and better than described!! Really Happy with my new Jag XF and will recommend to others.

I have never encountered such fraud in my life. You sold me a completely broken car on finance and I am still fighting with him to get my money back for the deposit. I do not want to accept a broken car that is in very bad condition. The engine is broken, painted, probably after an accident. I do not recommend and even advise against cooperation with this dealer. I hope you do not have such problems either.

What can I say other than fantastic all round. Me and Nick, we delt all over the phone as i was too lazy to drive there hahaha he sold me an electric vw transporter, perfectly described it and we had a fantastic deal on it. He delivered it to me, I paid him his money and we did all the paperwork also met his son too lovely guy aswell. He's one of your own, honest & reliable which is seriously hard to find these days so if you want a new car or van call Nick and go see him. Thanks again and all the best.

I Left a deposit on a car.. I run a carehome and had 2 positive corona tests so wasn't able to collect vehicle as intended then ran into unexpected bills (boiler, typical) I explained I'd not be able to purchase car right away but understood the car couldn't be kept from sale indefinitely so asked for my deposit back.. to which this was refused.. A little context: Before sending the deposit I asked if it was fully refundable nick said yes it was.. So I sent it in good faith with all intentions of purchasing the car.. once I'd found that I needed to isolate I promptly told nick and said that if any offers came in for the car as I'd not been able to collect he was more than welcome to let the car go and return to me my the deposit.. I thought that was fair? To be fair nick had got the MOT completed on the car and pads needed changing (but this would've needed to have been done regardless of who was purchasing the car) I asked nick to return the deposit as I wouldn't have the money to purchase the car right away so presumed I'd get the deposit back. Nick refused saying that he had the mot done and that it hasd been nearly two weeks and that he had two offers for the car he had refused.. Firstly I did say let the car go as I appreciated I couldn't collect as agreed so in my eyes these two offers could've been accepted.. everyone wins all good But no apparently these two offers were declined.. which then leads me to think that the car was never taken off sale as if it was and it was held as nick also told me how would two other offers come in? Never on autotrader did it say deposit taken nor on his own website so the car was never taken off sale. I'm a reasonable person so I requested that we split the deposit because I'd not stuck to plan to which nick has ignored my offer.. sorry nick I'm now the proud owner of a c63 and as I originally said to you I couldn't be happier with it.. Its my dream car I'd have always purchased one whether it took me a week or a month longer. You see as I'd said once I'd been paid again I'd have the funds but as your terrible customer service and lack of empathy let you down I chose not to come back and purchase from you. So for the sake of £150-£300 you were being so pathetic over you've now missed out on a £26k sale.. I suggest in future you understand things happen in life especially in these times.. I sincerely hope that when you need assistance in my field you're not treated in the same manner you treated me in your field

Think the saying is "Champagne dreams with Lemonade money" you wanted the car as soon as possible so I had it through the workshop and was ready to collect within 2 days of you leaving a deposit. Then the excuses started how you was too busy at work so would be a couple of days later in which I was ok with, 3 days later you were waiting for a Covid test results to come back which I accepted and understood in the current situation we are all in. A few days later you were picking the car up as everything all good then a final message days after that saying you had over spent and could you have your deposit back!! This was now nearly 2 weeks after leaving the deposit and you expect a refund? If you had have been honest in the first place and said that you were simply "dreaming about owning your dream car" and could not afford it then the deposit would have been refunded and we both could have moved on. You should appreciate being in business yourself that in these times things are harder so why waste peoples time?
