I recently bought a car from St Julians Car Sales. The staff were extremely helpful, the car I bought was really good value. Would certainly recommend.
I only met this Father and Son based business a few days ago despite living just 100 metres up the road. I was initially interested in two of their cars and eventually honed into one that appealed to me. I have to say that I was very impressed with their customer based attitude and professionalism. I bought a car of them which I believe was very good value for money, it was a very easy no nonsense purchase with a new MOT and a good warranty. I will update this review after the warranty period expires, but in the meantime, thank you Dave and Chris for a good deal.
These 2 who work here at do not deserve any sort of review.... shocking..... will never recommend or use them again and advise others not to either.
Helpful sales people, nothing was too much trouble, would buy again and recommend without hesitation
Without Prejudice. St Julians Car Sales -Buyers beware. The vehicle I purchased was not fit for purpose. How they advertise with my answers alongside: Good part exchanges for sale: Mixed with auction vehicles Safety checks: Not my vehicle 5 Star AA Warranty: Not on my vehicle 3 Month Standard Warranty inc. (Can be extended at cost): Not on my vehicle I purchased this vehicle in good faith and on the understanding the faults would be fixed. How wrong could I be, especially when they all re-appeared and I was told I purchased the vehicle on a “semi-trade” basis? Really!!! It was not fit for purpose and in a dangerous condition. Background Info. Faults apparent on vehicle at pre purchase and which were to be fixed prior to collection: • Flat battery – charged and OK • Exhaust blow – gummed up • EML light (Engine management light) - Only reset and cause not fixed • Passenger door not shutting properly – Oiled • Drivers window not shutting properly – WD 40 and some temp fix • Faint clutch noise – nothing done and told ok. Faults still on vehicle since purchase: • Exhaust blow – due to temporary repair • EML light (Engine management light) - Only reset and cause not fixed • Passenger door not shutting properly – Fixed lock replaced • Drivers window not shutting properly – WD 40 and some temp fix • Clutch noise – We think fixed! At a personal cost of nearly £600.00 • Required recovery in first month as all spark plug receptors, plugs and leads were full of oil from leaking gasket which should have been fixed and a drive shaft boot replaced as it had been previously only glued by the repair garage. Fixed At my cost In excess of £300.00 What appeared to be minor faults were in fact major faults. These faults were initially temporarily fixed by the garage they use just down the road; wait for it called St Julians Garage. I have been told that there is no financial or personal connection!! I am not saying or implying that the repair garage is at fault, as I guess they are doing what they have been told to do. However, when I ask for details about warranties etc. safety checks and what was carried out by them, I get no response by email or written, which seems very strange indeed if there is no connection between them…. St Julians Car sales, will not disclose if they own the business, they are very selective in their responses and when they do eventually respond by email buy omitting previous content. I have found out that this car sales business is fronted by another garage who buy vehicles from the auction. Contact me for this garage’s details if you need further information. Summary: Buy at your peril is my personal experience at St Julians Car Sales. I have spent the past 6 months trying to get these faults corrected with only part success. I have now had to resort to taking court action to get reimbursed for my costs so far and will need to take them to court yet again to get the EML fault and exhaust corrected. I will post an update of the court’s decision. I would also add that St Julians Garage also need to take a different approach when dealing with any customer of St Julians Car Sales and let them know exactly what is wrong with the vehicle. I still find it odd that a new MOT was issued when the exhaust and lambda sensors were faulty, door did not shut safely and the potential for a fire due to the excessive oil build up in the spark plug area. I will be following this up with other authoritative bodies. Thank you for time in reading this and I hope it helps in your decision of where to purchase a vehicle. END.

I would like details of this garage please. We purchased a car in good faith, we had a warning light come on straight away. We phoned the salesman on several occasions, he assured us that the light was because of the egr valve had been capped off and if he turned the light off then it will only turn back on again but it wasn't a problem. We had a mechanic look at it today and he told us that there was nothing wrong with the egr but there was an ecu fault and an accelerator fault and it had been an ongoing problem. I feel totally ripped off now. The car is now useless to me.

Having the same issues they said they would pay for fixes under my warranty and now I am £375 down and they are not responding to any of my emails and the phone line is dead, According to google the place is now closed!!! Yet only had an email off them 2 weeks ago! Could you please pass on your details for them to see if mine are different. Thanks
