Did you eventually get your money back? I have had the same issue now with a Corsa I have bought and am looking to get a refund. It’s not safe to drive and they expect me to return it 80miles?!

Hi there, I was wondering if you would be able to email me and tell me a little bit more about the issue you had with them and how it got resolved. I’m going through a very similar experience. miadroff@gmail.com
Purchase my first car from these dealers. All was going well until a small issue come up. The dealers were very quick to fix the problem which although was very small many dealers wouldn’t normally entertain. Thanks again to the chaps at star cars!

One can only assume that any decent reviews of this rogue dealer must be a put-up job, created by friends and family of the owners. Like most people, I have come across the odd dodgy car dealer but this bunch of miscreants take dishonesty and illegality to a whole new level. Star Car Sales sold me a Mercedes A160 for £1350 with new and clean MOT dated January 2020. It turns out that they have somehow managed to produce a fraudulent MOT because when tested just a couple of months earlier, it had failed MOT on no less than 6 extremely serious faults, mainly concerning rusted chassis and sub-frame, rendering the car useful only as salvage. When I took the car for inspection by an auto-engineer he found that not a single one of the major and potentially dangerous faults had been attended. In fact they still bore the chalk marks made by the previous tester on the chassis to highlight areas suffering from extensive rust. What this rogue of a car dealer has done is not merely a matter relating to consumer law, but of criminal and procecutable negligence and fraud. As well as issuing county court action for refund of the purchase price, I have reported this dealership to Bedfordshire police.

After my own beyond dreadful experience with Star Car Sales, I can confirm everything in this review. Just today, after buying a car from this dodgy dealer - the car broke down! AA couldn't properly recover it because it wasn't properly taxed. It is unbelievable that I couldn't drive this car back! DON'T BUY FROM THIS DEALER!

No surprises. My daughter bought a car from Star Car Sales a couple of weeks ago. New MOT, told it was in A1 condition. Car broke down on way home (30 miles). Brakes also failed. Long story short, dealer cheated my daughter out of £100 of her refund and put the car back on sale! My daughter involved Police, who impounded & destroyed car within 24 hours. In their expert's opinion the mountings were also shot to pieces & the whole engine would have dropped within another 5 miles... just as my daughter would have her children in the car after school and nursery. The MOT tester is under investigation for fake MOTs & authorities are working at getting the testing station's license to MOT test revoked. Police, Council, and Trading Standards are also still dealing with Star Car Sales Bedford as my daughter's is not the only report of it's kind.

Hi Star Cars sold me a car for £ 2000 without a Radio, CD player not working. Meanwhile in his advertising the Radio, CD player and DVD was working. He was aware that I was coming from Bristol to buy the car such a long journey. When I arrived I have realised that all of the above mentioned was not working. I asked him why In the adverts all above that I mentioned was working? But in real life is not? He said is just a minor falt. I believed him and bought the. After sending the car to several places for repairs they advised me to return the car back that is not is good condition. I phone Star Cars abd explained what happened therefore I will bring the car back. He got angry and treating me and family hung the phone on me. I took him ty court and win the case. I will never buy a car from star cars.
