DO NOT USE THESE LYING SCUMBAGS!!! I am only giving one star as there isn't an option for a ZERO! We bought a BMW X5 on a 03 plate back in May 2021 and paid £4300. The average car of that type at the times was about £2000-2500. We thought we were buying a nice, well maintained car which is why we paid top dollar for it. FAR FROM IT! Upon a quick check over from my mechanic guy it became clear that 2 retaining clips on the brake pads were missing, which meant the they break pads could fell off at any time RENDING THE CAR UNSTOPABLE! There was also a deep cut in one of the tyres with the cords exposed. So those three items meant an instantaneous MOT FAILURE!!! There was also a whole bunch of other issues to which they reluctantly agreed to repair / replace. One of those was a faulty O2 sensor on the engine which triggered the yellow "check engine" light, which is another reason for an MOT FAILURE!!! After a lot of negotiations and me having to do 2 100 mile trips at my expense they fixed most of the issues but not all. From the get go they agreed to replace the left wing mirror which had a broken plastic casing. They were supposed to source the mirror and fit it and they did neither. After 2 months of wait and endless attempts on my part to get them to do something about the mirror, I suggested that I source it myself, get my mechanic to fit it and that they will reimburse me to which they said go ahead and we will pay you. At this point it became clear that the right wing mirror also needed replacement as the gals bit had been broken off and simply stuck on with glue!!! COWBOYS!!! I then had a more thorough check done to the car and a whole bunch of other issues came up. I simply asked them that they pay me £317.60 for the mirrors, although the 2 cv gaitors on the front wheels were broken, WHICH IS YET ANOTHER REASON FOR AN MOT FAILURE!!! At this point, they stopped answering my calls, text messages and emails. I have to say that I am absolutely disgust at how these people do business and I think that operations as theirs have to be completely shut down and they shouldn't be allowed to trade ever again as car dealers. I think other reviews would also suggest the same. I would be pursuing legal actions through Trading Standards! NEVER, EVER, EVER, EVER LIKE ABSOLUTELY NEVER USE A STAR MOTORS. DO YOURSELF A FAVOUR AND GO ELSEWHERE.

I'm happy with my car from Star Motors 5 Ltd for now, no problems at all
I seen the car for sale at Star Motors 5 Ltd and contacted Prash, as im living in Ireland I asked Prash to give me an honest overview of the car as i would be coming along way with the view to purchasing . He stated the car had a recent MOT,full service history, 12m warranty etc. I took his word and gave him a deposit to hold the car. After purchasing the car and arriving back to Ireland the engine malfunction light came on diagnosis -defected battery not covered under warranty. I put the car through an NCT equivalent of MOT and it failed miserably with some major defects ( Headlamp mounting damaged,Rear swingarm bushes broken, Front shock and top shock mounts damaged) the tester advised this car should have never passed an MOT in this state. The car had only done 2000 miles since it's MOT, i rang Prash who tried to fob me off and refuses to take my calls now. It has now cost me £1000 to rectify this. Please be wary and the Handler Protect warranty that comes with the car is a joke.

Hi John If the car is within six months of purchase, you are covered by the Consumer Rights Act 2015. You’re entitled to a repair if the car is faulty. You’re legally entitled to a repair if something goes wrong with the car. It’s easier within the first 6 months. ‘Faulty’ means the car is not: ‘of satisfactory quality’ - it should do what you’d expect for its age, price and type ‘fit for purpose’ - eg if you asked for a car that would pull a caravan, it has to be able to do that ‘as described’ - it has to match the advert or the description the trader gave you If the problem fits into at least one of these categories, take it back to the trader before the end of the six month period. You have longer if you only want a repair - and if the trader takes too long (or it causes you too much inconvenience), you’ll still be entitled to a refund. What to say Let the trader know you understand what you’re entitled to. You can say something like this: “Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, this car should be of a satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described. My rights have been breached because the car you sold me is faulty. I would like you to put this right by giving me a refund/repairing the car at your cost.” Keep a record of your conversations and correspondence, and get all verbal agreements in writing - including when you can expect the car to be ready if you’re asking for a repair, and whether they’ll offer you a courtesy car in the meantime (they’re not obliged to do this but you could ask). If you still haven't solved your problem There are other steps you can take to solve your problem - these include using ‘alternative dispute resolution’, which is a way of solving disagreements without going to court. Your rights after the car’s been repaired You don't have to accept a second repair if something goes wrong and you'd rather not keep the car. You can ask for your money back if: the repair hasn't solved the problem another problem has developed You may only get part of your money back, depending on how much you've used the car. You could also ask for a discount if you still want the car. Get help Contact the Citizens Advice consumer helpline on 03454 04 05 06 if you need more help - a trained adviser can give you advice over the phone. You can also use an online form (/contact-consumer-helpline) or write to them. If you’re in Northern Ireland, contact Consumerline (http://www.nidirect.gov.uk/contact-consumerline-to-make-a-complaint-or-ask-foradvice) . Thanks Billy

I belive these cowboys are going by Sky Motors Bristol now and are selling cars on borderline MOTs like a ford fiesta that has no MOT but they want you too test drive it. Hope Trading Standards do there job and nobody ends up in barriers or in hospital because they sell a unsafe car.
The best service I have ever received when buying a car. Had a problem with a problem after buying, which wasn't an existing fault and really nothing to do with the buyer after it had been sold but never the less he not only took it and repaired it he also lent me a car in the meantime. I am so impressed I will definitely be going here first whenever i need to buy a vehicle. Thanks STAR MOTORS

I purchased a qashqai +2 from Five Star Motors5 and I was so pleased with the service I received that I talked my daughter in buying a BMW 1 Series from them.Prash and the other 2 guys there were absolutely brilliant. So far both our cars are running very well. I would definitely recommend these guys and will definitely use them again.

I drove 220 miles today in total to be told they had sold the car they knew I’d arranged to buy. Apology with a smile and a giggle was totally unacceptable. If they were that worried they’d have at least offered to cover my fuel cost. Let alone the day off work
This review is not really about whether Nissan Qashqai is a good car or not. This is about STAR MOTORS!!! Please avoid this dealer at all costs!!!!! I bought the Nissan Qashqai+2 car in June for a hefty £8,500!!!!!! In just 2 months, I had to take it back to the dealer because it couldn't start. The AA mechanic checked it and said 'I WILL NEVER HAVE BOUGHT THIS CAR FROM THE DEALER IF I KNEW THIS' He said the dealer has made an incorrect wiring connection on the earthing. The dealer is STAR MOTORS in Essex !!!!!! Please AVOID them AT ALL COST!!!!! Just last week (in another 2 months) the car developed another fault. This time the DPF light came on. Really? I bought the car at 59,000 miles. I've only done 2000 miles!!! Bearing in mind I have driven to Banbury from Orpington almost non- stop so if the filter had a problem it should have regenerated at that point. I took it to Halfords. Paid £85 for regeneration but the light stayed on! For only 2000miles at 60,000mileage the DPF should have regenerated!!!! This meant replacing the filter at £1000 or more!! called the dealer and they refused to do the repair. Bear in mind I still have 6 months warranty on the car!!!!!!! After spending £8500!!!!!! and in just 4 months developing 2 problems!!!!!DO NOT BUY YOUR CAR FROM THEM!!!! You've been warned!!

Kelly in response to STAR MOTORS - AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!!!!!!
Amazing I have the same problem and guess what the dpf light has been hidden. Not happy
We bought two cars of Star Motors 5. One was good and the other has had nothing but issues. On this basis we couldn't recommend them as if you go here yes you could possibly get a good car but then again you could get a very faulty car. We did get a fair price for our PX though.

I bought an Audi A3 from Star Motors 5 in February. Up to now Its been great! I have had no issues with it. It was clean and in very good shape and a really good price. The staff at Star Motors 5 were very helpful and friendly. They could have given me a better amount for my Part X but other than that I have no issues and I would recommend Star Motors 5.
