I wanted to buy a first car for my son and I am a single parent (so the car is only worth £1700). 'Adam' seemed very amenable and was more than happy to meet me out of normal office hours to test drive the car, twice. However, the battery died on the car whilst we were test driving it. He promised to pay for a new battery, which he did. I received £50 for this so thought all was OK. When I took the car to my local garage, who are wonderful with me, they were horrified at the amount of work that needed doing to make the car safe....apart from the new heating matrix and element, the car has engine rattle (dodgy engine) and the clutch is very much on it's way out. I have contacted 'Adam', on numerous occasions, and he refuses to talk to me or to take the car back (as I believe is my right under the Consumer Act within 30 days of purchase). He also hung up on me. I have no invoice or receipt, despite having asked for at least an invoice on numerous occasions. I would avoid this 'charming' man like the plague. I do not want anyone else to be taken in by him.

We bought a car that broke down on the way from Starline Motors. Subsequently we found multiple undeclared faults and asked to return the car under legislation that gives you 30 days. He has refused to take the car back and we are having to pursue him through the courts. I would stay away from this character at all costs. His real name is Mohammed and not Adam if you're interested.
