Just competed the purchase of a Skoda Scala Monte Carlo from this Dealership I received excellent service from start to finish from Cameron Preece He made the whole car buying process easy including a fair price paid for the part exchange I have no hesitation in recommending Skoda Powick and Cameron .
After buying a lovely Skoda Karoq from here some 9 months ago which included 2 free services, imagine my shock when at the first service I was asked to pay £960 for a Campbeltown change. I assumed the car would be serviceable for at least the period of the pcp without major repairs. Be very wary of buying from here.

From initial ordering to final drive away everything was positive. Cheryl Derby, my principle contact was superb and kept me informed throughout. Thank you. This is my third Skoda from Startin so it must be a good place to go.
Where would I even start, being Northern Ireland based and not having the time with work to travel to England to view a Skoda with STARTIN WORCESTER, I had enquired about a black manual 190, 2015 Skoda Superb 3, which are very hard to get in this bhp and colour, I was told by ADRIAN in sales that the car was in "superb nick" and that 2 alloys had slight marks in the wheels and would be refurbished before being sold, etc, etc (a good sign I had thought for a start) and a full service would be carried out also, timing belt included...win win, thought I... So after some deliberation I decided to take what I considered to be a chance, with 44k, a years warranty and from a SKODA DEALER surely the car will be like new, or so I thought Yes, I probly should have looked at it myself and I know many a car dealer will say the same, but sure in this day and age with technology surely a car can be bought over the phone without having to travel this distance So initially when I asked for a video walkaround I was sent the 360 spin around still shot type thing, which was already in the initial ad, really I probably should have smelt a rat then, but just assumed they were older guys and this was too much for them technology wise So eventually I paid for the car after a bit of back and forth, £14,800 and an extra £350 to get it transported to NI, collected it on a friday night and could see even in the dark it needed an all round paint correction job straight away or at the very least a real good buff, tbh even a wash would have been acceptable, which it clearly hadnt even got, (this is after being promised a full valet might I add), so again I excused this thinking some folks idea of a full valet is inside only which to me wasnt actually even done... Next day within the 1st few mile I had the clutch sticking and stalling at the same time, which was what i thought nearly impossible, and Id like to add that the start stop was switched off so this couldnt have been the cause, and as this was to be the new family vehicle I definitely didnt fancy puttin my 4 year old child and her mother in this vehicle for it to stall going on to a main road, no thank you So after contacting "sales" I was told that this wasnt happening to the car when with them and was being put onto the transporter, so in my opinion straight away they were trying to fob me off, but I was having none of it and firmly explained that I didnt care if it wasnt happenin to them or not, and that it just happened to me Eventually then it was organised that I could contact my local Skoda dealer as per warranty, over here in NI so they could investigate, and after a bit of enquiring with some local clutch specialists we concluded that it was either a suspect master cylinder underneath the clutch pedal or a slave cylinder which involved a gearbox out job, so it was safe to say that alarm bells were ringing... Also when thinking back about I when enquired about warranty I was specificly reminded that clutch wear is not covered by their warranty, and is classified as wear and tear, so again I have suspicions that this clutch problem was known about beforehand, I can only thank my lucky stars that it showed up with me within the first few mile and not down the line as I have no doubt they would have walked away from it and then I really could have been into big money So in the meantime I also had, 1, rattles from the back 2, squeaks from the back shocks also, 3, badly sprayed body work rear door, (damage) 4, panels that had been removed and not replaced correctly on the boot, which I assume again meant previous suspect body work damage, 5, all door windows, and especially the rear tinted windows looked like they had been attacked by Freddy Kruger, 6, front led was condensated, again suspect damage on another 3rd different location... Honestly I could go on, and after taking every possible item, parcel shelf, spare wheel, jack, etc out of the rear to make sure nothing like that was causing the rear rattle, and after inspecting all the alloy wheels to see which 2 had been refurbished and finding out that none were, I had thought if i was lied to about that, was I lied to about the service etc, timing belt included, which is something one does not or should not take a chance on in any vehicle, I just kept thinkin of the cocky quote from Adrian at sales, "oh we dont skimp over here at STARTIN SKODA" when getting promises of full services before the deal was done, I had come to the conclusion that the car had to go back, and at quiet a considerable expense to myself, may I add, and am actually embarrassed to say, was a grand total of £700, £350 each way, but this was just how bad this vehicle really was... Honestly I have put thousands of miles up on vehicles and maybe close to a million over the years, having drove for a living for nearly 20 years, I have also bought and sold vehicles for most of that time as well and can safely say that I have never seen a vehicle in this bad of condition, 44k mile on this vehicle, in my opinion, it should have been going like a new one, I actually have a 17 year old Volkswagen Passat with over 250k that has suspension arms needing replaced, that was tighter than this vehicle, Maybe it was just the case that I got a bad one and was unlucky but I actually think that the vehicle has put me off SKODA full stop, I have no doubt in my mind that this vehicles miles are not genuine and not even close, I cant say this is definitely STARTINS fault but can definitely say that I feel that when they heard the car was goin to Ireland, that they thought it definitely wasnt coming back regardless, so then promised the sun moon and stars and then gave nothin even remotely close to it... And yes this is an extremely long drawn out review that took me nearly a month to even get round to doing as the thought of, let alone even the sight of a Skoda on the road was just depressing me and nearly physically making me sick, especially with the money lost over this car, as I would like to add that that kind of money does not come easy to me, but to me that just showed how bad this car really was, so I thought that this just had to be done, If I could give a review score in minus numbers, I would, disgusting, despicable, service that I cant even find just words for... If this isnt STARTIN SKODA WORCESTER "skimping" I would really and truly hate to see if they were, My advice to anyone dealing with this company would simply be, BUYER BEWARE...
