From entering the Stephen James showroom to driving away with my new car it has been a very pleasant experience. Dealing with Danny Willis first, he went through all the options available to me in a friendly and informative manner. I was then introduced to Sergio Garaguso who explained all the financial implications which was delivered with clarity and friendlyness. Our handover of the vehicle was conducted by Chloe Wust who made us feel like we had known her for years. She was knowledgeable, informative and extremely helpful. She has also contacted me several times since our purchase which is very kind and commendable of her. I have nothing but praise for the 3 members of the team that I dealt with. A massive ten out of ten from me. Thank you from a very satisfied customer!!

I took my car for a service and an mot at stephen james ruxley and upon receiving it two days late my 4D plates were both damaged and my front parking sensor not working. I called up and after numerous attempts was asked to bring the car in. I did and the service manager was called named Alex Dillon. He agreed that the number plate was damaged and that he would ‘out of goodwill gesture’ will pay for it however refused to take responsibility with regards to my parking sensor. He was so rude and patronising that you’d think he owned BMW. Pathetic and sad actually. Will be taking my complaint further. As I believe these people are scammers and clueless.

Rude unhelpful staff! When making a complaint the manager basically called me a liar! We certainly will never set foot in this dealership again.

My Mother took her car in to be serviced by Stephen James Ruxley, she was initially told that it was a minor service and would be around £100. During the day they phoned her up and told her it was actually a major service and wouldn't be ready until the following day, she told them that she needed her car the next day and couldn't do without it, after some discussion they said it could be ready by the close of business. She has had it 6 years and has always had it serviced and MOT'd there, so I don't understand how they could make such a basic error. When I took her there to collect it I asked what the difference between there service they initially quoted and the one she actually got, this is the real joke here that all owners should be aware of, a basic "service" for £100 is not a service at all rather "an inspection" he told me that they look it all over and check for issues and also plug it into a computer to see if that brings up any fault codes. That's it, that's all you get for a hundred pounds at BMW now days, no actual work is covered by it, all they do is send you a nice little video of them looking at it, there are no change of fluids, filters or any other serviceable part, absolutely nothing, in my book that is not a service and not something worth spending £100 on. Now the actual price they charged for a real service was around £595, this did apparently include oil, oil filter, brake fluid, spark plugs, etc, everything you would expect for a major service, the problem is still the price, even considering BMWs high labour charges this still overpriced, you get no discount for the items as opposed to buying them over the counter at the parts department and doing the work yourself, I would have expected a discount as a package deal but no, you pay full price for everything. I asked them to send my mother a full itemised breakdown of the work carried out on the invoice, I was told this would be emailed to her straight away, 3 weeks later as far as I know she still does not have it. I believe she also filled in the customer feedback form that they sent her and told them she was not happy either, and they haven't bothered to get back to her from that. She has been a customer there for over 30 years and this is what you get.
They changed my airbag after a recall and since then I've been getting warning error light every now and then my helpful local garage clears the code but it keeps coming back and advice me to take it to the dealer that fitted it. Darren at BMW service team wants to charge £149 just to investigate then additional cost for works £££ to fix it. How fair is this they fitted a faulty airbag putting me in DANGER thanks to God I have not had an accident yet because i don't know if the airbag would be able to deploy & protect me? and when I raise the problem they shift responsibility to the customer requesting me to pay for their own mistakes. All they think is taking money ££££ rather that fixing their own mistakes I hope they will be able to respond and redeem themselves by changing the way they deal with Safety of on Airbags which is paramount in protecting us incase of an accident otherwise their recalls cannot be trusted.
Horrible place, avoid here at all costs. The staff are very rude and very aggressive, borderline threatening. I feel that is enough said.

Alex & Danny were very friendly and attentive. Alex made my experience with Ruxley very smooth and seamless. Would certainly recommend him and his team! Thanks Alex & Danny!
I bought my lovely Mini Cooper and collected it last week. Adam Morgan delivered extremely thorough, efficient service from start to finish. I felt in safe hands and I was made to feel very welcome and a valued customer. Would definitely recommend the garage and Adam in particular.

I bought my first BMW from Stephen James at Ruxley. Peter Ebeling was who I dealt with . He was really helpful and friendly . It was a really great experience. When I picked up the car, Sean Chapman went trough everything thoroughly, he explained and he helped me with connectdrive and everything else. I left the place really confident with everything. Great guys Peter and Sean.

I just bought a mini from Stephen James at Ruxley, and dealt with Ian from start to finish. He was very helpful, professional, knowledge and friendly, and made the whole process so easy. I would certainly recommend Ian and his colleagues to anyone looking to but a new car. I work in sales myself, and found his approach struck just the right balance without being pushy at all.
