I bought a Vauxhall Meriva from Steve James Motor Cars last April ….. At the time I was highly pleased and gave them a 5 star Review on this forum. The car has been running fine upto a couple of weeks ago when the heater failed. Numourous Mechanics have looked at it including the A.A They all agree that the engine has had a quick fix with a Sealent of some description as a short term repair. Upto now I have had to replace the engine,water pump,thermostat,heater matrix at great cost for a car which has done 41,000 miles... I would recommend that if you buy from this dealer ensure you get the vechicle fully inspected. Ive had this car for 10 months and still have over 3 years to pay for it.. Yes I could of paid extra for a extended warranty but the car looked and drove like new after they had done repairs during the initial 1 month cover.Ifully expected the car to last the term of the finance (4 YEARS) without anything major …. How wrong I was... I think Steve James should change his name to Arthur Daley. ….Brian from Merseyside...{pensioner}.

Travelled through from North Wales to view a car we had seen on the internet. It was an awful day and heaving down with rain when we arrived. Had a word with Steve, the manager, no problem, he asked one of his team to bring it inside and chamois it off so that we could inspect it. Had a test drive, minor trim fault that we spotted was promptly dealt with and the deal was done. Happy with the car, price and service we received, helpfull but not pushy. Worth the journey to Steve James Motor Cars.

I was. recommended by a work colleague who had bought a. car from Steve James... So I went there to view there stock without any pressure from the salesmen. I decided to buy a Vauxhall Meriva from them which was ideal for me. They sorted 100% of the finance which was accepted the next day at a reasonable A.P.R. I collected the car shortly after and was happy. After a couple of days the car developed a water leak... I phoned them up and under there free 30 day warranty they had the car taken to there designated garage were repairs were done over a period of over a week.. I was given a loan car from them whilst this was carried out. When I got the car back it was like a new car and I was highly please. One of my sons is now considering to buy a car from them.. I highly recommend them..

I bought a car from this company, I test drove it and it was like being in a brand new car, after a short time the car developed a fault so I rang the office and they said bring it back, at this stage I was concerned as I have bought a used car previously from another company and they completely ripped me off, and ending up costing me a lot of money I must say the way Steve James Motors handled this problem is to be commended, I will thoroughly recommend Steve James Motors to anyone and will certainly give good feedback on any forum. Your staff are brilliant, Steve spent time dealing with me and was very professional, and I must mention the guy who came with me on a test drive was also such a nice guy. Rang Steve James Motor Cars to go and view a peugeot 206 cc they had in stock was told to come down as it was still for sale . drove all the way there to find that the car had been sold and the gentleman who was on just told me i must have spoken to his boss who is away. seems the left hand does not know what the right is doing.

Worse experience I've ever had with a car dealer! A LOT of LIES in their advertising, and although I called before traveling for 5 hours they've told me everything was good with the car. When I've got there the car didn't have cruise control, climate control, heated seats and other very important options that were written in the advertising! Never ever travel to this place if you're not from Liverpool, as you will have many unpleasent surprises!
