Travelled 60 miles to view car at Stoneacre Thirsk. Unfortunately by the time they got round to organising a test drive it was dark. I needed to drive it in daylight so I arranged to go the following day. I rang to say I could not go because of the weather, only to be told the car had been sold. Did they have the courtesy to ring me to discuss the sale NO. They would have let me drive 120 mile round trip for nothing. Watch them They are a team of wollies dressed up as salesmen.
The vehicle I came to view at Stoneacre in Thirsk was still to be prept. I inspected the vehicle and found a fault to which they then with drew the car from sales to re-assess the value of the repairs to the resale value of the car.

I HAD A PROBLEM WITH MY REAR BOOT LOCK ON MY NEW FORD CUSTOM TOURNEO.RANG STONEACRE WHO WERE NOT HELPFULL AT ALL SO RANG FORD ASSIST WHO CAME OUT AND SAID THE LOCK WAS FAULTY.RANG STONE ACRE BACK TO LET THEM KNOW AND THEY SAID THEY NEEDED THE VEH IN FOR HALF A DAY TO ASSESS IT AND ORDER THE LOCK THEN A FULL DAY TO FIT IT.THIS IS A WORKING TAXI.WHY THEY COULDNT JUST ORDER A LOCK AND FIT IT IS BEYOND ME.SO TO I ORDERED A LOCK AND PAID FOR IT AND FITTED IT MYSELF IN 20MINS.IF THATS THE SERVICE BACKUP STONEACRE THIRSK SUPPLY I CANT UNDERSTAND WHY THEY ARE STILL TRADING.

Under the terms of manufacturers all repairs have to be diagnosed on site before ordering the parts, otherwise the repair may not be authorised. We have in the past followed the diagnosis of recovery companies or third parties and it has been incorrect causing further inconvenience to customers so we have to adhere by the terms set out by the manufacturers. We appreciate your feedback and will report this back to the manufacturer. They give you a report of your service which described one day old tyres as being 15% worn and was told that they could not pump my tyres up to pressure due the wrong valve being fitted on the new tyres. I went back to the tyre shop whom I have used many times before and are highly professional and I have never had a problem with. They said the valve was better than what they recommended and that they fit the tyres for this dealership all the time. Why would you send out a van with under inflated tyres anyway? Two days later, fuel filter light is on. Apparently it is not included in the service which I was not informed about. Every other mechanic changes them. I paid extra labour and for the filter. They also said the front brakes have been given a code red warning and will need changing soon. Only two days before they were signed off as only being 30% worn. The manager was not interested, not willing to help and not at all convincingly understanding. He offered my a discount for my next service....as if he will honour that in a year's time, especially when he made no note of it whatsoever. Couldn't care less and not at all accurate or thorough.
