I drove 2 hours (100 miles) to derby to view a car which had been incorrectly advertised, I called the dealership twice to confirm information about the car before setting off and to confirm if the car was ready to be driven away that day and was told it was. Before going on a test drive i was told by salesman 1 that the vehicle wouldn’t actually be ready for another 2-3 days which was not what I had been told on the phone. After going for a test drive I was going over the facts and figures about the car with one of the salesmen. Firstly, I was told that the vehicle had not been through preparation so I would have to wait around 2 weeks. I was annoyed about this but I was willing to wait to ensure the vehicle had been through the necessary preparation. I had taken an experienced car trader with me who spotted that the vehicle was advertised with 1 owner but actually if i bought the car, i would become the 3rd owner. I was really upset about this as I specifically questioned this on the phone before going there. The salesman then called the manager NATHAN WINSON who came down to speak to us. Nathan then came down and began speaking to us in an extremely rude and intimidating manner. We were made to feel unwelcome and Nathan went as far as saying “if you want it at that price, take it. If not, I’ll sell the car today not a problem”. My friend who has experience of advertising on AutoTrader tried to explain to Nathan that the error made on the advertisement was manually entered and that somebody had manually changed the number of owners. Nathan did not like being corrected by my friend about the vehicle being advertised incorrectly and became extremely defensive and his language and tone became extremely unprofessional. I did not buy the car and ended up leaving the dealership with a different opinion about BMW as a whole. Although Stratsone Derby does not represent BMW as a whole, I feel that a reputable and trusted company like BMW should be represented by someone who at least has the very basic level of decency and attitude towards customers. As a previous customer of Mercedes, i can comfortably say that the customer service I have received from them over the last 4 years is a million miles better than what I received at Stratstone Derby.
Worst of the worst these guys Giving a bad name to BMW Very quick in response but when they have your money it’s like they changed their number and don’t want anything to do you, stay clear of Stratstone

Absolutely awful service from Stratstone Derby. Visited the showroom on the 4th June and placed an order for a new car. They had the exact same spec car in the showroom but told me they couldn’t sell this one so had to place an order. Did that and was told I’d get the spec sheet sent over before the end of the day. Nothing arrived so I called on the Saturday and a manager was surprised that a pre finance check hadn’t been completed. He did this and said he’d get the spec sent over by the end of the day. Still nothing. I sent an email on the following Tuesday as still not even received the spec sheet of yeh car ordered. They replied on the Wednesday and said it would be done that day. Surprise surprise - nothing. Called numerous times on the Thursday and was told I’d get a call back - no one called back. I called again on the Friday and spoke with the business manager who said he’d speak to the salesman and would call me back. Again, nothing back. I called on the Saturday to cancel the order as I’d still not even got the spec of the car sent over. The business manager then suddenly offered the car that was in the showroom for about £50 less per month. I asked how this was even possible as this was not an option last week and was told - ‘Well you’re speaking with someone different this time.’ Shocked that this was even said as surely the service should be the same no matter who you deal with. I continued to request the refund and was told it would be done and they’d email to confirm. No surprises that I didn’t get an email or confirmation and had to continue chasing this the following week. Would not go anywhere near Stratstone Derby. Great at getting you to buy a car then suddenly disappear as soon as you’ve paid.

Didnt get back to me and my dad. We wanted to cars. Sales lead is very cocky, staff seemed down depressed and lazy not interested in helping and not knowledgable i was very shocked if im honest. Went to synther nottingham - very impressed , proactive very helpful and engaging and go above and beyond. Finally got a. Car from cheltnham and very impressed with the service to. DONOT BUY FROM DERBY STRATSTONE - loads of people have had bad experiences they do not offer you a good service before or after. We have bought 1 bmw and we have 3 to buy within the coming months and will not be buying from there. Absolutely stunned at how poor the service is.

By far the worst dealership I have ever used. Unreliable and I would never have a BMW again after this.
Car went in for 38000 service and new rear brake pads. got it home and had and dripped oil over my drive. lost a days work waiting for their hire car to arrive (MERC 220), week later car returned but brake warning light soon came on, back again. Had a recall 5 weeks ago and they were due to pick up tomorrow. As i have no trust in there commitments i called today. To my surprise they were just about to call me to say they cant pick it up. The new manager said to me 5 weeks ago forget the past we are now re-organised give us a chance. DON'T, still a shower of crap Clive Andrews

The most awful experience ever buying my first car from Stratstone Derby and the issue is still unresolved. I paid a deposit of £500 in good faith that the car would be of a good standard and ready for me to collect in five days and it was not. I had to wait over two weeks for my car to be repaired and sale ready. On the first date for agreed collection, the car was of an appauling standard. The body work was full of scratches, rips on the passenger car seat and the bumper was damaged. I was told it would be ready yet again by a specified date and when I went to collect the car, the bumper had been stuck together with visible yellow glue, the seat un-repaired and scratches still left on the car. They changed the bumper and I had to wait over two hours in the showroom. I paid for this car in full. I did not drive the car the next day but on the Wednesday following me buying the same car on the Monday when I drove it, it BROKE DOWN. I am so upset and disgusted by this.What is concerning is that the car should not have broken down two days after receiving it. This gives me cause for concern that the car I have been sold has not had thorough checks and is not road worthy. There is also a serious discrepancy regarding the mileage which they NEVER told me about. Two days later today and regardless of emails sent to discover what the problem is with the car, I have received no response from Leon to rectify the problem. I have lodged a complaint with BMW and want a full refund for this car. The customer sales after care by this branch has been absolutely awful. I will never buy a car from here again and as this is my first experience buying a BMW, I've truly been put off as I wonder if all dealerships have the same standard. The battle continues but seriously. Avoid at all costs.
Ordered a new X3 in Jan 2020. Day before collection BMW changed the price to what was agreed. I refused to pay so they cancelled the order (June 2020). Communication was terrible. Took days to reply even when they said 'we'll call you back in 10 minutes'. The first two collection days fell through because BMW wouldn't provide a time, and a week later, just hours before collection they increased the price we had agreed android take it or leave it. I left it. Maybe a lucky escape. I am the only one - seems not. There's definitely a pattern emerging here and for some reason they just don't care.

Took my car in for a wheel change due to a nail getting stuck, got in within 2 days and sorted! So hassle free would 100% recommend to anyone! Can’t fault the service team at all! Also stuck to all COVID guidelines, had screens, protectors on car seats, gloves, was absolutely brilliant
Left a deposit on a car with low mileage advertised on there site when I was told the actual mileage it was far more than I was expecting Asked for refund and still waiting for it a week later
