Went to Nottingham for the second time to try and trade in my 3 year old evogue. The same sales person dealt with us twice and on both occasions he said he was too busy and would take our details and get back to us. We had traveled over an hour to that dealership. No one approaches you and no one takes you serious.
Went in to Nottingham Jag Land Rover to see about purchasing a Range Rover Sport SVR - Not one single sales person asked if they could help or assist - too busy sitting on their backsides — plenty of other Dealers

I have dealt with the Jaguar main dealer in Nottingham since 2004 when I bought my first new car. Since then to date I have bought 7 new Jaguars and the attention and service has been excellent. The name has changed from H A Fox to Stratstone but many of the people remain and continue to give the same customer service. After sales are excellent in the service department and I have just had my Range Rover serviced at a very competitive price compared with Inchcape in Derby. 5 stars from me!
So I went to buy a Evoque first edition from Stratstone Land Rover Nottingham for 40K. I did the deal and payed for the car on the Friday night prior to the appointment to pick up the car at 11am on the Saturday morning. I paid the money in to their account (the same account I paid the deposit) and travelled over with my exchange HSE evoque to pick up the new one. The salesman informed me they could not contact finance department on a Saturday to verify the payment. No mention of this prior to paying, by the salesman, either verbally or on the invoice just the details of the account. So I was told I could not take the vehicle I had purchased and as the insurance on the exchange evoque had been transferred to the new evoque had no insurance to drive my previous vehicle. I was found a complimentary car after kicking off. The new car was delivered to me (My demand) on the Monday evening. There was to be new private plates supplied in the boot. Salesman said they had forgot them and would deliver them the following day. Never happened. The car had a warning light for the airbags not working and the tailgate gesture sensors did not work which he never mentioned. I took the car to Marshalls of Melton mowbray who fitted a new part under warranty for the airbag control and informed me that the car had no tailgate gesture sensors. When I was demonstrated the vehicle at Stratstone Nottingham I asked how the gesture worked and the salesman waived his foot under the left rear of the car but it would not work , so he said he could not remember which side the sensor was (actually they are both sides) so went to the righthand side and put his hand in his pocket and without a doubt pressed the remote whilst waggling his foot under the rear and duped me. The car was advertised as having the tailgate sensors. I have had no follow up calls or e-mails from Stratstone since taking delivery and am not suprised. NEVER AGAIN WILL I BE SUCH A FOOL AS TO WALK INTO A STRATSTONE DEALER
We bought a brand new Range Rover Velar and within 4000 miles we reported a problem to the Service Dept. The response has been absolutely terrible - just fobbing us off, ignoring phone calls... of which there have been nearly 30 since 2018. They outsource their complaints procedure and I can see why when they deal with their customers so poorly! Very angry and upset customers!

I spent over £42000.00 on a range rover velar and had more problems than I have ever had with a car in 45 years .as for Stratstones, probably the worst dealer in the country

I have never experience such a bad customer service at any dealership or garage in my life. Unfortunately, I had to use this site twice and service department customer service level was just horrible... I am sure I will never use them again and will never advise anyone to get any repairs done there. First time - vehicle diagnostics - they have kept car for 3 weeks without even looking at it. I had to chase them every other day trying to find when it will be done. Every time I called I was told a different story and quite quickly I realised they are lying to me. I had to deal with very rude Service Adviser Laura who said that she will not call and update customer even if she promised them. She always sounded like she is not bother and is completely fed up of talking to me. I also had two chances to talk to After Sales Manager Tony Mills who was just as rude, unhelpful and wouldn’t let me say a word. When issue was raised to him he just said to come and pick up the vehicle because they are too busy to deal with it. Every conversation I had with Laura and Tony made me feel like unwanted customer and left me in shock. Second time - vehicle diagnostics - promised to be done in 2 working days. 7 working days later I had no updates therefore I just collected vehicle from them. I don't think they even realised it was booked for diagnostics... Also, if message is ever left with reception for a call back regarding issue then be prepared to chase them again and again. I have left 6 messages with reception and had no call-backs. Not sure if this is another service department issue or reception is just as bad. This site has lost at least £20k on two vehicles above including parts and repairs. After Sales Manager Tony Mills is very happy to lose customers and clearly needs extra training in customer service and sales.
Bought a car from Stratstone Land Rover in Nottingham 3 weeks ago, on the day of collection I found the bonnet catch was detached from the car. A new part was to be ordered, firstly the wrong part was ordered, then the correct part which I now have to fit myself. Took almost 3 weeks of me chasing to get it sorted. Also, I was doe a refund against my part ex and after 3 weeks of constant chasing, still I don't have my money! I've little doubt that if things were reversed i'd have been sent all manner of demands for payment by now...the dealership is a disgrace to the Land Rover label.
Travelled from Cheshire to have my Discovery Sport HSE Luxury valued in part exchange for an approved Velar Sales to busy to see me !!! Won’t be buying from Stratstone Land Rover in Nottingham after a 200 miles round trip Worst Jaguar Landrover dealership I have ever visited
