My partner has just purchased a car from Sturgess in Anstey it was a used car and she traded her old car in. Well I must say from the start we was greeted warmly and such a breath of fresh air to say the least, my partner felt really comfortable. The main sales lady was Amy and she was so helpful and courteous did not for one moment felt hurried or obliged to rush into anything and Liam the manager as well for helping put deal through. I purchased a used VW Tiguan on Monday. I was looked after by Lisa and was kept up to date with the progress of the sale from start to finish. I had recently had a very bad experience at Audi Narborough Road and ended up refusing to buy the car. Lisa more than made up for that upset. She’s professional, caring not at all pushy and when I went to collect my car abd couldn’t get hold of my insurance company she calmed me down abd got everything sorted for me. Paid Sturgess £17k for a car that has been inspected by the garage, described as "as good as you'll get". The day before collection was due, after changing insurance, and booking train tickets to get to Leicester, was told vehicle was not in a saleable condition. Moreover there was resistance to the idea that they had an obligation to source an alternative. Having escalated the matter to the manager, was told that he'd try and source an alternative. Three days later was told one had been sourced. A further three weeks later am told the vehicle is still not available. More incompetent than dishonest, but who wants to spend this volume of money with an incompetent business?
