A great experience selecting, purchasing and taking delivery of our new E-Pace at Sturgess of Leicester. Having had less than favourable experiences at two larger dealerships in the Midlands, Sturgess in general and Jack Davey in particular, were a breath of fresh air. No hard selling. No supercilious attitude. No spurious “deals” that sound enticing but don’t stack up behind a plethora of figures and mis-matched detailed specifications. Jack understood our requirements and exceeded our expectations throughout the process and this high standard of care is extending post-sales – not a claim many organisations can make in the industry I’m afraid. Jack was supremely knowledgeable, approachable and professional. He knew the specs inside out. He understood what we were looking for and when seeking an earlier delivery, only selected alternatives that made sense. In the end, we swapped a few things in and out and this was made much easier by Jack guiding us along the way. Jack’s attention to detail including remembering the pet name for the car is exemplary. A car is too complex and too expensive to simply buy on-line – even in these Covid times – we wanted superb customer service, hands-on and face to face. Jack Davey and Sturgess gave us that. We would wholeheartedly recommend Sturgess Jaguar.

***Warning, please do not consider purchasing a vehicle from this dealership before reading this... If you’re viewing a vehicle after seeing it online please make sure you go around the car meticulously. Having purchased my car I found faults with paint corrosion on the roof trim (that had been covered up) and a significant parking dent which was also covered up with t cut. I raised my complaints a few days later when I washed my car for the first time and subsequent found the damage. The responses I’ve had from the complaints team have been dismissive, ignorant to my rights. I’ve paid over CAP for the car and expected it to be in an excellent condition and not below this. I don’t often raise complaints but I feel aggrieved here at how they haven’t been transparent with the true condition of the car and the ignorance to my genuine complaint. I’ve now had to raise things with the Motor Ombudsman.
Buying the car was a good experience. Car is pretty wonderful. Staff eager for sale, polite and professional. Since purchase after-sales poor. Phone calls never returned. Waiting for a small piece of plastic for 3 months. Again calls not returned.
I am very happy with my Range Rover Evoque from Sturgess. It was very nice and clean an din very good condition. The dealers have been very helpful and friendly and despite the fact that I have had some issues which haven't been resolved very quickly, I wouldn't blame the dealership as their mechanics are based on a completely different site. The value for money is very good and I would recommend this dealership.
