Writing this on behalf of my husband and brother who went to buy a car today. We would not recommend this place to no one! From start to finish the experience was horrible. This is our personal experience & how we felt. All checks were done the day before and was told we was approved for the vehicle. I deal with all my husbands correspondence and manage his finances so when my husband was at work they had my number if needed. When I got a call from Sutherland to say we have been approved I was told that he will pull me through to the next advisor but he didn’t realise he did not mute the call and I could hear. The advisor said something down the line of it’s so stupid how his wife is talking on his behalf and when I said how is that stupid I was cut off straight away. That should have been my red flag & should have stopped doing business with this company after that crappy customer service but we decided to accept their apology and carry on. So as arranged the next day we went down to collect the vehicle. They travelled from Leeds to Sutherland which was roughly about 5 hours away depending on traffic. Firstly when they arrived they were not even greeted warmly. The sales advisors were going around everyone else making sure they have a drink and they’re okay but constantly said to my brother and husband that someone will be with you soon. They had to ask for refreshments themself! no1 even offered them water knowing they had come from very far. So once they were there, all checks were done and papers were signed the advisors told my brother and husband to go out for abit as they didn’t know how long the paper work would take to finalise. They could of told them they can wait in the waiting room while the paperwork were getting finalised but they didn’t they told them to leave the premises very rudely. So they left the car show room and went to wait in the car. After an hour they received a call from the finance company to say they wanted bank statements which was weird since all this was sent before but we still sent them again. A couple of minutes later we got a call saying the finance agreement has flopped through since they were told we were earning £85k annually but we never ever said this or declared this once. Now I don’t know if this was a lie from Sutherland to the finance company or the finance were making excuses to not make this happen. They felt they were getting racially discriminated as all checks were done and paperwork was completed. It just did not make any sense how all checks were done papers were signed but once they got there and saw their faces they just switched up and were being very unwelcoming and cold saying it’s not gona happen finance has rejected blah blah. So after having some words back and forth they left and were driving back home. They drove 2 hours from Sutherland back to Leeds when they received a call to say come back the finance company has paid the Sutherland for the vehicle. My family told them they will get there 15 mins before closing time but said no come back another day since we close as 4 and can’t hang about. However there was 1 African origin worker who said he will stay back for us. That gentleman I can’t remember his name but he was amazing and very respectful and rest were just sh*t. So they drove back 2 hours to the showroom to collect the car. Now obviously the car was a beautiful M3 which is why we was very adamant to buy this. But they excitement we had when we was going was not the same when we left. They made the whole experience very sh*t one. To say they went to buy a £77k worth of car, drove 5 hours there you’d think they’d be given a warm respectful welcome but they didn’t & this is why i wouldn’t recommend anyone going here unless your Caucasian!!!
super easy, car wasn't perfect as the leather passenger had a small scuff potentially from a hand bag or sports bag. I must say though, Sutherland's went through the effort to collect car back from me, drop off a rather smart brand new BMW X1(impressed) courtesy car and have the leather scuff repaired and car returned. Not the greatest repair as if you really inspect you can still slightly make it out! Overall though, a very friendly professional outfit

Excellent service from start to finish even in these trying times with Covid Traded my car and collected my new one from them Sam and Ollie made it a painless and easy transaction their was a little issue which was sorted quickly and honestly high recommend Sutherland m power cars.

Professional, polite and honest, three important attributes that were abundantly displayed by Jack. Sent enquiry on Monday night for a Mercedes A250, received phone call early Tuesday and had a detailed video walk round within 15 minutes. Car was ready for Thursday pick up. Impressive premises with well set out high end stock, car was beautifully presented and described down to a tee. Would I travel the 900+ mile round trip again, definitely. Thank you Jack for a straight forward hassle free experience and providing a lovely car.

Went to look at a BMW M4 at Sutherland Specialist Cars on the weekend, dealt with Josh who was brilliant. I didn’t have an appointment booked but he made time to see me. Just waiting for my funds to come in and I’ll be back to make a purchase!

First and foremost Sutherland Specialist Cars has quality written all over it. The showroom and forecourt is more than impressive and the customer service matches that. I was helped by Jack who made me feel valued right from the off very honest and up front and I felt assured I was buying from a respectable dealership. The car was immaculate cleaned and valeted impeccably. I could have stayed there all day and looked at all the other cars it was a petrol heads paradise. Will use again and highly recommend to anyone else looking to buy a car.

Found a car on the Sutherland Specialist Cars website so decided to have a look, stood around for 10 minutes finally seen two members of staff who could not be bothered one little bit. Lot of high end cars there what they did not realise I could buy one if I wanted one, shall not be back and will take my money elsewhere.

A family business that consists of I think almost of over five family members ( including the Mum who seems to potter around with her frenchie making coffees ! ) Not the most oiled machines of all companies, but welcoming, open and honest and a lovely warm feel of no pressure and clearly a selection of lovely high end cars all of which are overseen by their head mechanic Dave in their garage which gave us extra comfort. Car purchased was better than described, though my husband noticed one of the rear tyres had a nail in it which was a bit annoying.. having said that Ollie (the owner) has since paid for two new rear tyres with no arguments or issues what so ever which I know were not cheap ( especially as we bought a 4x4 ) No wonder these guys seemed to be over whelmed with repeat customers.. We'll be back to Sutherland Specialist Cars.
