Recently purchased a new car at Sytner Solihull with the help from Ali Al-Joodi the sales man I was dealing with. Ali was a competent salesman, nothing was too much trouble for him. Definately 10 out of 10 for his abilities and attitude he is certainly a credit to the company.

Contacted to purchase a used BMW, was given a promise of a certain price, had to arrange the extra funds and when I came back the sales person call Guy totally reneged on the deal. Lost out on a sale of 25k. Very unprofessional. Was buying my first BMW. Think I will stick with audi
Bought a car from BMW Sytner Solihull for nearly £40k. Was advertised and described in their video presentation as having all the "carbon packs". Decided a few weeks later to change one of the carbon parts because of some small damage it already had when I bought it. When taking the carbon part off it became apparent that none of the parts were carbon fibre but cheap plastic imitation parts. I complained to BMW Sytner and asked for everything to be put in writing. Steve Arnold called me and basically tried to bluff his way around the advert wording saying what they meant was "carbon styling" which was utter rubbish as nowhere in the advert and video presentation did it say carbon styling but the carbon parts were made out as highlights of the cars optional extra spec. I told him to pull my other leg as they knew exactly what they were up to because the car was worth a good few thousand pounds more than a none carbon version. Got to give it to them though, the real carbon part I bought to replace the damaged one was almost identical on the face of it. They knew it wasn't real carbon due to the cars original specification sheet from factory which had all the carbon parts added to it manually by them. Spoke to Citizens advice and also Legal bodies who are now involved including Trading Standards as what they have done is completely fraudulent. They never like to respond in writing as that way things that are said can also be denied. I've requested a DSAR (subject access request) for all the recorded telephone conversations too which will also confirm their misselling. Refund requested along with compensation for wasting my time and money on things like private plate retention, hip checks, fuel, days off to view the car, payment for replacement parts which can't be returned etc. Was happy to keep the car if they reduced price accordingly in line with a non carbon model but this was flat refused. Matt Hancox, the manager, also contacted me but I asked for an explanation amongst other things which just get ignored. I told him I think it was really inappropriate that the person(s) involved in the sale of the car should be contacting me when they have personally benefitted financially through bonus as they will naturally be on the defensive and trying to hold on to the money in their bank accounts. They also had the car pass a multi point inspection but on the customer advisories sectional the bottom they had covered over with a piece of paper. Confirmed this with the garage they had taken it to for a new shock absorber as they pulled up the same invoice and told me on the phone what they had advised be changed on the car. Disgusting, deceitful and despicable behaviour. I am hoping disciplinary or dismissal action is also taken.

Please avoid this branch like the plague. They will ruin your car an not accept liability. My X6 broke down twice!! once when the prop shaft snapped and made a hole in the oil sump which lead to an oil spillage causing the engine to starve! This prop shaft was a faulty recall to begin with. Synter Solihull claimed to have fixed this prop shaft however the car broke down two weeks later and had to be taken back to the dealers. They refused to check the engine stating that the DPF and TURBO needed replacing, as they had quoted me a hefty price I told them I would take it to an independent dealer and get dpf & turbo repaired and bring it back so they can check the engine. Mechanic at the garage did a diagnostic check and stated that no point fixing DPF or any other parts because the engine had failed completely due to the oil leak caused by the faulty prop shaft. When i contacted Andy at Sytner and explained what the mechanic had said he told me to bring the car back! till now nothing has been done to repair the car and Sytner are stating that the dpf and other parts have nothing to do with the recall and i would need to pay for it myself which they have given an expensive quote!!!! They clearly had not checked the engine properly first time round nor did they repair the car to BMW standard. Lisa Mcveigh manager has cleary not listened to our issue and overlooked the whole situation. Sytner solihull have lied and said we did 700 miles in two weeks when we have only done 484. They lied and added extra mileage on their report and it was quoted on an email. We have AA reports to confirm mileage and what happened to the car. They told us to bring the car back knowing very well that they would not repair anything!!! Because they have control over your car they will lie and say anything so that they can take money off you. Please invest in a different brand as BMW is the worst customer service!!!!! they won't return your calls, each time you call a different car part is mentioned, different prices are quoted, you will never get a straight answer from them and all they want is your money!! do not go to BMW SYTNER SOLIHULL, take your money elsewhere
Having brought 2 cars previous from Solihull, I visited again recently with the intention of discussing a new vehicle. Having walked round the showroom, I asked at reception to speak to someone to discuss a new purchase. I was told staff were busy, but someone would be with me shortly - I was amazed to see the number of staff then standing around talking to one another whilst customers waited. Having waited 20 minutes, I walked out and won't be returning.
After spending 2.5hrs in this dealership I am still no further forward and am completely appalled by their level of customer service. Before going to the dealership I had a call to go through my budget and organised a test drive with a week in advance. I turned up to the dealership and the car wasn't around to be test drived, I was quoted £150 over my preferred monthly budget and was told they'd 'check-in' with me the following week, I've heard nothing. I have worked in the automotive industry previously and am absolutely astounded by the level of, or lack of customer service. I would not recommend this dealership to my enemy! Go there and prepare to be ripped off/your expectations not met.
My 320 went in for its annual MOT at Sytner BMW Solihull and was informed one of the tyres had a wall side bulge which they would need to replace the tyre otherwise they were not able to pass my car, ok I thought so I agreed for the replacement tyre, i was then informed that they were unable to remove the locking nut due to it being over tightened by someone else ( obviously off course not them) and they needed to break the nut at a cost to me of £50.00, I argued why should I pay for it when it was you who over tightened it previously but they were not having any of it as i was informed by some kid in a suit, well BMW its your loss as i will never purchase another car from you so you refusing to meet me halfway will cost you dearly in the future...all smiles when selling you a car then nothing.
