Having had two new VW Golf’s from T L Darby they invited me back as they had a finance offer on, I came down and spoke with their new car salesperson who verbally went through a deal to swap my 22 plate Golf for a new one. I left and he said he’d ring to confirm sourcing a new car, after a few days I tried ringing the dealership to speak to the salesperson but alas he never returned my calls on several occasions, If he couldn’t do the deal or couldn’t source a car then why not let me know? I found it extremely unprofessional to be ghosted! I have now sourced and purchased a new Golf through another VW dealer not far from yourselves, shame really as I rated your service department highly.

I had tried to contact Joshua in new car sales around 10 times left voice mail & messages with other members of staff when I did eventually get hold of Joshua he would take details etc of what I was looking for then never get back to me so would have to chase him again, was just complete in interested so went to derby & was sorted in less than 48 hours, now a happy new car owner.
I called to book for a service, was told I would receive a call back, but didn't. So I phoned later to chase and was greeted with possibly the worst receptionist on planet earth, named Julie. All I wanted to do was speak with the service department, but for an unknown reason, Julie sent my head spinning by constantly being rude and interrupting me with useless babble. Then I was put on hold, only for Julie to instantly hang up the phone. Going forward, will be happy to travel much further to receive poor customer service, as even that would be an improvement.
We purchased a new car in March and the sales Lady, Josie Pajor, who looked after us was extremely helpful. We were not sure which model of car to go for and she was extremely patient going through the pros and cons of the options we had thought of, including Electric models. Having had two previous petrol Polos we decided to settle on a third. She carried out all the things we asked her to do, sending us details of Lifeshine etc by email. She made sure that we understood the paperwork every step of the way and if we had a question that she couldn't answer, she didn't pretend, but asked her manager to clarify things for us. When we went to pick our new car up, she made sure that we were happy as she went through the controls which were different to our old car and helped us set up the Car Play on the Stereo. Compared to other Car sales people, She really did go above and beyond - so many can't be bothered once the sale is done. We have had several cars from T L Darby and have always found them friendly and helpful. In common with most dealerships, their servicing tends to be expensive. It is also a shame that their Dashcams are not competitively priced or the brand leader. The great thing about them is that if you have a problem between services, however small, someone will always pop out and try to help you.

As a New Motability customer to the VW brand having just endured a total nightmare with Beechdale Hyundai in Derby I had a lock issue on day 2 Whist the tech department were confident of a while we waited outcome Joe from sales was pulling out all the strings to put us into one of their courtesy cars ASAP. Everything we could have expected but never got at the previous dealership Job fixed under warranty within 2& half hours This will be noted when I go to Hyundai UK to slaughter my previous dealership who were nothing short of abusing the Motability scheme on supplying courtesy vehicles and abusing disabled people My search of google and other reviews on TL Darby have great reviews but my experience goes to saying that they go way beyond their reviews on customer service and I would give a personal rating of 11 out of 10

Treated very good, had abit of a wait while I was there, not down to them by the way, but I was well looked after, and they helped in anyway they could. Recommend TL Darby Volkswagen and it’s salesmen to everyone.

T L Darby Volkswagen do not know the meaning of the term customer service. I have had problems at each service for 3 years. They do not reply to emails.

I purchased a Vehicle from T L Darby Volkswagen last year, it was clean and in great condition and up to now I have had no major issues, The dealers were helpful and I would recommend the dealership.

I had a problem with my car when I bought it as a body panel didn't seem to be correct but after an agreement with the garage they put the car correct to high standard to my satisfaction .many thanks for correcting my car the family are very happy
