AVOID AT ALL COST! READ BEFORE! enquired about a VW scirocco DE63UFM and was dealt with by the 'salesman' PAUL who answered all my questions and reassured me with its condition of bodywork & wheels being 'unmarked' etc.... I was also mentioned the vehicle had its last 4 services by them 'inhouse' along with 'cambelt & waterpump' replacement. Also the vehicle had '1' yes '1' previous owner. I agreed to purchase the vehicle and made the full payment to there account and had the vehicle delivered. 2 days later the vehicle was collected on a trailer by the driver who took pictures of various bodywork defects and curb marks to the vehicle and messaged them over to me before he left there dealership. The interior was in a complete state! It had looked like someone had walked out of a field and into the car, There was mud everywhere, The bodywork had chips and defects to almost every panel and 3 out of 4 wheels were curbed! I immediately got on the phone and told Paul what the delivery driver sent to me. He started saying that they did not have time to prep the vehicle and the defects were all age related etc etc..... He advised me to take delivery and have a look for myself so I agreed. Vehicle arrived and I took a look at the defects which were not mentioned and came to a conclusion that majority were age related so we overlooked this even though Paul mentioned the wheels were 'unmarked' & there was absolutely NO paperwork with the vehicle. However, As the vehicle was purchased over the phone based on description, Paul filed the Logbook out and sent this off the day the vehicle was delivered to me and when the new logbook arrived it stated '5' previous owners yes '5' even though Paul mentioned '1' previous owner on purchase.... A complete and utter LIE and nothing but this PAUL said about the whole vehicle.. After trying to contact him & the manager I have got nowhere, They are just trying to fob me off but I am not having this and the vehicle will be returned for a full refund or matters will be taken further! I wont allow them to get away with this nor have this done to anyone else Paul has clearly lied the whole way through just to get his commission which I feel is absolutely disgusting. So a message to you all before you even think about purchasing a vehicle from them, DO YOUR RESEARCH & DONT GO BY WHAT THEY SAY! ITS ALL A LIE AND THEY WILL FOB YOU OFF ONCE THEY HAVE YOUR MONEY!

After listening back from the call recordings of your dealings with Paul. Paul was professional, courteous and truthful throughout the transaction. Paul sent a detailed video of this 9 year old, 125,000 scirocco directly to you and pointed out the age and mileage related imperfections. All service history, including the cambelt and water pump was available at the time but your driver left without it, this has since been sent on. We received 20 minutes notice that your driver was on the way to collect and made you aware that the vehicle had not been cleaned, you still chose to take delivery. No conversation regarding previous keepers was ever had and you have still not replied to my email, 3 months later. Despite being the cheapest of its kind on the net you still attempted to negotiate a discount.
They buy and sell stolen vehicles then charge the innocent consumer for using them! when you ask for a refund. Bought a van, which from day one had multiple engine faults. Never received promised paperwork, vehicle registration not complete as promised. Ask for refund told they were "fixing" it again. Tried to source my own logbook. To be told the vehicle was stolen. Which they were made aware of and didn't act lawfully. The front of house manner is the worst I've ever encountered, Zero customer aftercare or empathy. The owner ignores emails of mediation request and disappears whilst your waiting to talk to him. Happy to leave you thousands out of pocket. Not even an apology. Then hand you back your px vehicle without mot, undrivable and depleted in value the opposite to how you gave it them. STAY WELL CLEAR!! It would not let me leave zero stars

We also, like you, bought the van innocently - to be listed as stolen at a later date. After your finance company initially thought the marker was a mistake, it was left. After a thorough investigation with HPI and the solicitor dealing with the case, it was confirmed that the van had been purchased somewhere long down the line using a stolen credit card, not forcibly stolen, as you imply. Once this was discovered an unwind was ordered. As per the terms and conditions for your finance company and our obligation to them a charge for the mileage you have done means you lose one monthly payment per 1000 miles covered. This is something your finance company enforce, not us. This was always the case that you agreed with by email. You then asked us to MOT your part exchange after initially asking us to keep the vehicle (i suspect you knew it wouldn't pass the MOT) but it failed after only being driven around 12 miles since you exchanged it, it was in almost exactly the same condition you gave it to us in, including the damage you tried to blame us for, luckily we had pictures of it from the day you exchanged it with us.. You and your partner were aggressive towards our team to the point where police had to be called. So much so that my colleague has not and will not return to work because of your behaviour towards her.

Bought an L200 from the Taylor Motor Group which broke down 4 days after I received it, took 8 1/2 weeks to get it back during which time the General Manager Elliot was Rude,Arrogant and generally a displeasure to deal with. DO YOUR RESEARCH before parting with your money.

I am quite surprised to read this review, Terence. After taking delivery of your 128,000 mile L200 you had an issue with it overheating - you took it to a garage of your choice who diagnosed the issue as a head gasket and they did not want to get involved. I offered to have the vehicle recovered the 116 miles from our garage free of charge on a specialist recovery lorry due to the size of your vehicle and deliver you a vehicle to use in the meantime, which was a 2017 Megane GT. You were informed the vehicle would not be started straight away due to other large repairs booked in before and your vehicle required the 4 tonne ramp as did the others. When we finally got your vehicle in for repair it was quite apparent that your garage of choice had simply tried to frighten you and after investigation the significance of the matter was much smaller. The issue was actually the coolant housing which required replacement. whilst we replaced the coolant housing upon further inspection we found that the cambelt was in poor condition and therefore we replaced this and the balance shaft belt with new tensioners and guiders. When road testing the vehicle it blew off its turbo pipe but due to it's location within the engine bay my technician thought the turbo itself had gone. You and your finance company were kept up to date throughout the process. When we managed to get the specialist to recover the vehicle from its location, still with us, the pipe was duly replaced and road tested thoroughly before making you aware the vehicle was ready for collection. The vehicle sat with us for a week before your finance company contacted us to say that due to your health condition you could not collect the vehicle - we arranged, with their support, delivery of another 116 miles to collect our car. We have not since heard from yourself, your wife or your finance company to say that at any point you were unhappy with the service you had received from us, in actual fact we went over backwards and spent a significant amount of money to ensure you were completely satisfied. Quite a detailed response but a pity it’s total rubbish. The fault was the cab was filling with dangerous fumes! As for the rest of your response Walter Mitty springs to mind. If in doubt look at the other reviews!
Collected the car a week later had to wait half an hour as it was being valeted.When I got home the interior was still filthy and soaking wet.The bodywork had overspray and tar on the bottom half plus the back lense was cracked and the otherside was scratched.The car was meant to be serviced but the Adblu was extremely nearly empty.I had to fill it up with 22 litres and the wheel nut for taking the wheels off was the wrong one.I wrote to them on 2 occasions with no answer ..Due to the problems and not answering the letters I sent them.I would never buy from them again or recommend

I bought a car from Taylor Motor Group in Newark so that, as a single mum, I could get my two kids to school without having to take three buses every morning. I saved up all my money for nearly two years to buy, what I had hoped, would be the car of my dreams…….unfortunately it turned out to be a NIGHTMARE! I should have stopped even before I bought the car when the ‘slimey’ salesman and his colleagues stood in the corner seemed more interested in looking me up and down than they did in anything that I had to say or any of the questions that I wanted to ask…….but I ignored the warning signs and put my trust in them to sell me a ‘good car’. For me the most important thing was that the car be reliable and, if anything were to go wrong, that there would be a warranty to cover the cost. I explained this to the salesman and was assured that the I would have no problems with the car that I was buying and in any case the warranty that they were giving would offer me ‘complete peace of mind’ – this was an outright lie! Within two months of having the car it had a major problem that left me broken down and stranded at the side of the road TWO times – the warranty said that it ‘wasn’t covered’ and Taylor Motor Group wouldn’t even take my calls or respond to my letters!! Disgraceful!! This left me over £400 out of pocket - £400 I didn’t have after just handing over all my hard saved money to buy the car from them a few weeks before. The car has since suffered more problems and cost even more money and I have found out from other people that this is not uncommon for these cowboys – apparently they buy all their cars from auctions where other dealers send cars that have ‘problems’ – they give them a clean and put them on the forecourt and sell them to unsuspecting people like me. If I were you I would STAY AWAY FROM TAYLOR MOTOR GROUP – there are plenty of other places you can go…..places that don’t have bad reviews like this!

On my 6th car from TMG now and can honestly say I’ve never had a major problem. The odd teething problem here and there but always sorted swiftly and with no hassle always lent me a car too.
I purchased a car around 5 months ago from Taylor Group Newark and whilst I was looking for a new one they was brillant but little did I no there after care didn't even exist. There were a couple of things wrong with the car main thing being that was knocking on the front passenger side. The garage looked at this twice but could never find it so when my wife wasn't using the car I took it to work to look myself. Since I've had the car it has done no more then a 1000 miles and I've replaced 2 front lower arms,2 top mounts,1 shock absorber and a new battery the main being a steering rack that cost me just shy of £2200 as the garage refused to pay for this even tho they new I had a knocking problem from the day the car was delivered, also this was an advisory on the mot an they had put new parts on the steering rack but failed to put the inner rack gaiter on with the correct clips which ment this not being on an letting all the crap get inside causing the knock to get worse and eventually a grating noise. After trying to get in touch with the garage for over a week I was told the owner would call again had to keep chasing this but never received that call I ended up somebody else calling an saying it's not there problem. Now these cars are more expensive here but the reason I went there was because I had a close friend working there so I though if I purchase it there the car would be in great condition and we would be looked after if there was any problems but how wrong I was. I will never purchase from there again nor will I recommend. Most people just write a bad review and then get on with it but I will not leave it as this as I'm seeking this further as they are getting away with to much and leaving customers unhappy and with bills. If only I would have read the reviews before as they are all saying pretty much the same thing.
