Brought my car July 2018 and had no problems, They let me bring my own mechanic to check the car over and they replaced the timing belt (at my request) friendly service good price for a car with low mileage, I have already recommended them to a family member who is also happy with the service received

Hi Joanne, You bought a car from us over a year ago, the car was perfectly fine, you then took it for an MOT a year later which it failed on £50 worth of wear and tear items, after you've been driving the car for a whole year. We offered to help you get the parts & labor for trade price but apparently it wasn't good enough. I think its quite unfair for us to be blamed for a years worth of your motoring wear and tear MOT parts. However the offer still stands and we are still happy to help you for trade price. I have just noticed your post online. Very disappointed that you feel that way, the most annoying thing is WE dont actually do the MOT test....All vehicles are sent away to an INDEPENDENT test centre to have the test completed. If you would like to give me the name of the test centre in question that you are accusing of being "dodgy" i would be more than happy to take this up with VOSA. Again another independent governing body. Can i please ask you to respond as such accusations to a small family run business can be very damaging. Myself and my partner purchased a 2011 Vauxhall insignia Sri from TF Car Sales in March of this year on finance. Upon first look they came across a friendly independent car garage that cared about their customers. We test drove the car and all we could see wrong with the car is that the window mechanism on the drivers side door was loose. They said before we took the car they would MOT it, the results for this was that it failed on emissions and an oil leak. They assured us this would be sorted and they would also fix the window mechanism. We collected the car and for the first day or so it seemed fine apart from the window mechanism had not been fixed. We then noticed a misfire and an engine warning light, ABS and check stability rack. We took the car back and they said they would sort it as we have a 3 month warranty, this is when all the trouble started. Between March and July the car had been in and out the garage at least 15 times for numerous days at a time, it had also been to the Vauxhall’s specialist to try and find the issue. We still had an oil leak, misfire and the warning lights on the dash. The car also wouldn’t start first time. They kept assuring us they would fix whatever the problem was. We then started to notice a change in the garage and upon taking a closer look realised that a lot of cars were scraped, scuffed and dented. I warned the garage that the head gasket was going as my uncle is a mechanic and he could tell straight away. They dismissed this and of course the head gasket went. We went to collect our car where the car garage then said we had to pay half towards the work that they had carried out or they wouldn’t give us our car back even though the car was still within the three month warranty period. We had no idea they had carried the work out as they did not check with us before proceeding. It’s to my understanding that legally they can’t carry any work out without informing us first. It was after this we started a complaint with the finance company to try and return the car and get out money back. After the head gasket the problems still persisted. The car would rev on its own, on the way to a hospital appointment the car turned itself off with no warning in the middle of a busy road; so again the car went into the garage and after receiving the car back we noticed an awful smell, after speaking with the Vauxhall specialists it turned out the garage had neglected to fit a pipe back onto the engine and so all of the exhaust fumes were coming straight into the car. This is highly dangerous and my pregnant wife was also sat in the car. This situation went on and on and after TF Car Sales refused to take the car back the finance company had to send an AA mechanic out to assess the vehicle to prove the garage had failed at least one repair. The AA mechanic provided a list of faults including ECU, short circuits, bearings in the engine, a steering rack leak, engine coolant leak, oil leak which was supposed to have been fixed in the MOT, alternator and basically that under no circumstances should we drive the car as it was unfit and unsafe. The car garage still tried to dispute taking the car back and avoided the finance company at all costs. When the finance company did eventually manage to get ahold of the garage to try and speak to the director to explain they had no option but to take the car back and refund us. It was the director Terrance Fletcher that answered however he kept saying he was not the director of the company and the director was busy and they’d have to wait a few weeks to speak to him. Even though he is down on the books as the director and introduces him self as the director. When the car garage finally accepted liability and took the car back they then accused us of scratching the bumper, although that was there upon purchase and most of the cars on site are battered. So finally after 6 long months of battling with the car garage we have finally been able the return the car

We have been a successful family owned limited company for over 12 years and have managed to please of customers over the years, and on the odd occasion when a vehicle have gone wrong we have managed to repair them to the customers satisfaction. In your case we couldn't find the faults you were reporting and even went to the expense to paying for a Vauxhall main dealer to investigate the reported faults. In short we couldn't so offered you two choices. You could select another car or have your money back, i see this as a very fair offer. But you decided that you wanted to keep your car. You say that you gave is the money back, but in fact you didn’t you took £220 off are money for a scratch which was there when you sold us the car , also I would just like to point out to everyone they actually cancelled the Cheque because they wanted us to take the review down but the finance company told them that they had to pay us the money back which tf cars was not happy about , and they didn’t want to give us the money hence why we had to go through the complaints team with the finance company which tf cars did not cooperate with , they tired to argue at every stage saying nothing was wrong with the vehicle 🚗 don’t use tf cars worse Garage going. Not a very good experience with TF Cars, purchased my car with 24 hours it broke down they had it back and said no problem but would have it looked at by bmw did not happen they tuck it to a friend who said it was this part then they never phoned me back to sort out having it fixed after me having to phone them was told man was on holiday then part was not there . after around two months I got a part of them which in my opinion is second hand and now the place I take my car to has told me there is other faults with car including turbo exhust fumes leaking and needs new gaskits. car has many faults which you would not accept for a £5000 car. would not recommend or us again.

It’s normally quite hard to trust a used car dealership, however I have been proven wrong with this place! Purchased a new car for me and the wife and we love it, had no problems and it even came with a 12 months MOT (I think they do this to every car) and apart from that Its a lovely family run business, very polite and attentive. Bought a car from TF Cars due to their online ratings and thought we had found a good company - No! Noticed a problem with the windows on the day of collection, i had paid all money owed and they had to keep the car for another 6 days. Finally collected it to find dent marks in the door that were not there previously. I was told they had always been there but hadnt been touched up as he thought i was happy with them!!! Left with car but no confidence in any thing they were telling me so I took the car to my usual mechanic as i have 2 young children and need to know it's as safe as can be. My mechanic has confirmed that no service had been carried out despite my service book being signed by TF Cars.

Hi Mrs. Quick. Thank you for your feedback, we understand you purchased a Peugeot 307cc from us for £2,495.00. You are correct the window switch had failed, and we offered you the opportunity to take the vehicle and return it to us when the new switch had arrived. However you chose to leave it with us until we got delivery of the new switch, even though there was nothing mechanically wrong with the vehicle, and was perfectly road legal to drive away as it had just had a full 12 months MOT from an independent approved garage, ready for you to take away until your new switch had arrived. When you then came to collect the vehicle, you was left you to look around the car and to make sure you was 100% happy with the new window switch you then abruptly came into the office asking “what was with the new damage” it was pointed out by myself and my college that the marks on the passenger side door had always been there, however after being accused of damaging a vehicle and to be told that you didn’t believe us, we then without liability offered to get the scuffs removed, free of charge. When your husband then collected the car, he was very happy with our service and the car and stated that he would leave us good feedback for our efforts. In with the asking price of the vehicle you did get a oil and filter & cambelt change as agreed, and nothing under promised. I’ve had the worse experience with TF cars. If you want value for your money then I wouldn’t even bother considering here. I’ve had numerous teething problems ever since purchasing a car from here. If I were to list you my problems I’d have to write a novel. I cannot begin to comprehend how annoying it is to go and get a problem fixed for it to be broken again a week later. Being a quality conscious customer, you would’ve thought that a business would take that into account. I feel cheated, spending all of this money on a piece of scrap metal. Overall disappointed and would never in my wildest dream recommend them to anyone. Not even my worse enemy. Peeved off is an understatement.
