Two major problem on the car. Yorkshire car warehouse didn't care less and would not help. I do not recommend them.

Please note they have several company names (Yorkshire Car Warehouse, Used Car Company Yorkshire, or The Car Factory and registered as Proyash Ltd, they operate from Lennerton Lane. Sherburn in Elmet. North Yorkshire. LS256JE) I bought a car from them earlier this year and it was most stressful transaction I ever had with any business. Here is what went dreadfully wrong: - Car was advertised with full service history. However when I could not find the manual and service history in the car, they said they would send it on. As you can guess it never came. - The engine fault happened moments after I paid and drove away. - Unsuccessful attempts were made to repair the car and it was months before I got my money. - They pretended to be ignorant when I discovered the same fault occurred to the previous owner. - They ignored my calls and used numerous excuses to avoid paying refund. I had to commence legal actions so they decided to refund. The customer service was terrible, the staff were very rude and not helpful at all. I tried negotiating on the price and they were just being very stubborn. Avoid at all costs.

Avoid!!!! Car needed 2 new tyres and d links had dropped out on way home. How it passed the mot is beyond me Reported to trading standards who said they have lots of complaints about this garage and are looking in to them

Red light warning do not go near bought a car which I had problems from day one only had a month now been in garage for 3 week for brakes which should been done on mot so why I don't no why there test center didn't pick up on going to vosa to report keep way only good thing is how clean to car was inside and out

I decided to purchase my Volvo as it looked very good, but over priced. They did reduce the price by £100 as my wife was going to be travelling down from the North East to pick up the car (I was working). They agreed to do a service and get the MOT. Once the service came back it stated that the tyres were getting to the limit, however this wasn't disclosed until my wife arrived on the day. On the day they were aggressive towards my wife, and said it was our fault for not checking the tyres properly. Yes, this is maybe is correct but the advertisement did state that the tyres were in excellent condition. The staff were aggressive on the day, and although I was prepared to walk away, my wife had travelled and needed the car. At one point they refused to sell the car and said she can make her way back, unless I wrote an email saying everything was fine, and I wouldn't complain. When we got back I took it to get a service to find that the rear shock needed replacing and the oil hadn't been replaced in the service. These cars are highly polished to make them look nicer and better than they actually are. The staff are aggressive and full of typical used car salesman crap. They're not good representatives of the used car industry. I probably wouldn't have left this feedback, but as it looks like they have changed the name to Used Car Co. Yorkshire, it better to make people aware what they are dealing with. Avoid at all costs.

Quite simply AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE. Traded in a BMW M sport (WITH NO SERVICE HISTORY) as we informed them, and they then quoted there offer with this in mind . To find that they then advertise the car WITH FULL SERVICE HISTORY. The Porsche Boxster we traded in for was advertised with FULL SERVICE HISTORY, only to find that there was only 2 years history from new (13 year old car). I contacted them many times and kept getting fobbed off: "we have posted it to you a duplicate portfolio". Then they say they initially gave it to us, rubbish. Then they say they cant back trace history ..... yet they managed to get a duplicate copy that they claim to of posted out .......laughable. Like many other reviews ...... WE HAVE ALL BEEN HAD .... But now I have informed consumer direct and trading standards who have opened a case on them and with the documented evidence I have forwarded to them. Watch this space ..... THE AUTHORITIES ARE VERY INTERESTED IN THE CAR FACTORY YORKSHIRE. Amazing what history you can find on names and at company house if you know where to look. THIS DEALER NEEDS AVOIDING AT ALL COSTS.

Sold me a car and traded in my car. I had an expensive private plate. Some old guy helped me fill in a retention form and even offered to post it for me. I stupidly agreed. It never reached the DVLA and when I phoned them they told me that they hadn't received it and that the garage had tried to to something unethical with the private plate but the DVLA turned them down. They had obviously tried to take the plate for them selves. Phoned the garage many times and was fobbed off by an old bloke called John. Please don't buy your cars here. My plate was a wedding gift from my late husband and they didn't give a damn. A bunch of people who only want your money. A devastated single mum who was not treated at all well by The Car Factory Yorkshire.

Stay well away from The Car Factory Yorkshire, they will sweet talk you with anything to get you money and the warranties aren't worth the paper there written on. I have contacted trading standards and I have been told I am not the only one to there going through the courts now, so stay WELL CLEAR, don't even phone them to look at a car.
