Take my advise and steer well clear of USED CAR CO YORKSHIRE WORST EXPERIENCE IVE EVER HAD WITH A MOTOR TRADER IN 45YRS.
Drove out to Sherburn on spec. Bought a car the same day. Full MOT, breakdown cover for a year and 2 years warranty. A wholly pleasant experience, no pressure, very helpful. I was very impressed. Thank you Shona.
AVOID!!! Seem lovely people to start with but once you've handed over the money an drive away they totally change, Had no fuel in the car to get to nearest garage on pick up. We bought a Vauxhall Corsa C from them four months ago. Low mileage full MOT (how it passed God knows because the day after I bought it I had to buy a whole set of wiper blades), £2500 the car cost me. There's me thinking oh well it should last a while. Oh no from day one things started happening. It's currently in the garage now. Most of which the warranty doesn't even cover. After five attempts to contact The Car Factory I was told "someone will ring you back" yeah right they did. Totally useless people. Avoid the Car Factory Yorkshire.

Amazing place! I bought a car off the car factory recently I adore my car, amazing staff, amazing place, all round amazing. Would defiantly recommend this car dealer to anyone and everyone. The valeting was outstanding every one go get your cars now is my advice. Will defiantly be back next year for my sons first car, thank you Chris and the gang at The Car Factory Yorkshire.
Chris is a horrible lying nasty piece of work!! Scammed me out of money and sending abusive texts. Avoid this dealer.
I bought a car from these people and they came across as decent and friendly but it was not to last as problems getting hold of the service book for the car proved fruitless. First, I was assured that the service book was in their work shop but they could not find it. Then I was told it was with the warranty company. After a week I called them and they said it was still with the warranty company and it would be sent out at a later date. This continued for the next 5 weeks. To date, it has not arrived and I have given up hope. I felt that they were very nice and hospitable up to the transaction date, but after that, they simply did not want to know. I would have appreciated honesty right from the start rather than these convoluted stories. If you must deal with them, please make sure you have EVERYTHING before you leave the premises and do not rely on them saying 'they will forward it on', because only you will suffer at the hands of The Car Factory Yorkshire.
Do not buy from this dealer. A deal was made and a price agreed. Right from the start they were told the private plate was not part of the deal. They took the whole log book off me and stated they would sort the transfer of the plate for me. This never happened and they did not return the plate to me. They can didn't even have enough fuel to get me to the nearest garage. I have called The Car Factory in Yorkshire numerous times only to be insulted and told it is not his problem.
Purchased a Mini from this dealer. Apart from major issues with them sorting out a simple finance issue with the car the following is a list. No service history with the vehicle which was advertised as having full history. Most of the dealer upgrades advertised the car did not have. 3 days old the car blew the oil feed pipe t the turbo because someone had "soldered" over the hole in the pipe (£770 to fix at BMW is why). The brake pad warning indicator wires had been cut and taped together then neatly pushed back into the sleeve, giving the impression the wires were intact. This had been done because the pads were almost to the metal despite the car being sold to me as having just been serviced by them. The timing chain tensioner failed within a week of purchase. Worse was to follow when I had the tyres replaced. The rear alloy wheel had at some point split in two. It had been bolted together with two bolts and sealed with tyre weld solution. The fitter showed me the pictures from the inside of the rim and advised this could have been lethal. The warranty is not worth the paper it is written on and I would advise not getting involved with these people at all. Spend your money elsewhere. trading standards are already on the case with this dealer
I bought a car from the car factory recently, test drove the car and did the deal and all seemed well (no fuel in the car though). On driving back home after only around 10 miles the engine warning light came on and when I stopped for fuel the car didn't want to start. I eventually got it going and drove home, as soon as i arrived home I called them to report the fault and was met with some sympathy and asked to call back if the problem persisted. It did so I called back and was told to call the warranty company to arrange some fault finding. All ok so far and cars do go wrong but it's how they are dealt with that matters. Having dropped the car off to a local garage the problems started, the warranty company won't pay for the repairs and the Car Factory won't either, leaving me 6 weeks down the line with a car that I haven't been able to use and a selling dealer that ignores any attempt of contact that I have made to them, not even an apology. The garage doing the repair were surprised that I had just purchased this car as the condition of the inside of the engine was so bad. Needless to say I would recommend staying away from them and I also will be reporting them to trading standards, it's not so much the state of the cars but the complete lack of after sales care or concern that really annoyed me.
Saw advert stating Kia Sedona was in excellent condition, had a service history, full MOT, full service completed etc. So I travelled a distance to see the vehicle and upon seeing it, was in poor condition. There were faults on the exterior and interior. I pointed out faults and was told all faults would be resolved before delivery of the vehicle. I had to phone for updates and they then stated the vehicle failed its MOT and needed a full service even though the advert stated full service and MOT. The vehicle was delivered and there were still faults and no service history. After numerous calls still no service history and it took weeks to get deposit back. Finally, this week (July 2015) had knocking from within engine, took it to local garage after speaking with warranty company, this independent garage stated there was no way my vehicle had a full service, maybe a change of oil only. The independent garage stated both front brake pads were to the bottom, air conditioning and fan not working, pollen filter needed replacing and corrosion to other parts of the engine, basically we were told to fix it would be over £2,500. Warranty would not cover costs. The independent garage stated we were lucky as the engine could of gone up in flames. I had my 5 children in the vehicle at the time and the car is to dangerous to drive. We are now left with out a vehicle and lost £4,000 and unable to do anything against the Car Factory. I would not touch any vehicles from car factory as they mislead you about services/ MOTs etc.
