Car outlet UK Dartford - Terrible experience with this company. Bought 2020 Ford Tourneo Connect in December 2023 for transporting children with special needs, on the way home (From the Republic of Ireland) after purchasing the vehicle the engine management light came on at 100miles North of London. Contacted the company and they told me to continue driving the vehicle back to Ireland and they would sort out any issues with the car.. We are now at the end of April and this is the 6th time the vehicle has been with the main Ford dealer in Ireland. The vehicle has had a range of different error codes from exhaust issues to engine problems. Dealing with a guy in the caroutlet going by the name of ASH his real name been Arthur .. not sure why they give false names… Ash/Arthur was ok to deal with at the start but he turned nasty when I asked if they were going to reimburse me for the costs €2,300. They gave me €1500 in the end after I threatened small claims court. Currently I’m out of pocket nearly €1500 at the moment and different error codes are still appearing.. This is a terrible company and would not recommend. Buyer be ware.. The cars are not checked mechanically and seem to be all bought in Auctions..

Having looked through your complaint which was registered in December 2023 & since then I can see your small claims court was declined after we paid for the repair but admittedly the fault reappeared so we suggested taking the vehicle back to Ford so they can rectify the fault which was paid for previously. Additionally we offered you a full refund which you declined. We hope the issue has now been resolved & after reflection your opinion of us has changed. We wish you all the best in the future. Had a bit of a nightmare experience. Bought a wheelchair van at the end of October 2020 which had a faulty electric handbrake. After driving back there 90 miles for them to fix it, we picked it up a few days later and the problem was STILL THERE. They refused to accept our right to reject the vehicle within the first 30 days. They've just dropped it off this week, 6 weeks later, after having a second try at fixing it, and left it with an empty fuel tank even though we gave it three quarters full. Not even an offer of apology. Won't deal with these people again.

Mr Zeeshan Thank you for leaving us feedback, despite it's negative it helped us on this occasion to use the feedback to see how this could be avoided going forward & helped us resolve this issue. I can see we collected the vehicle from you & had a garage diagnose the issue on the 12th November 2020 & confirmed the handbrake was adjusted as far as it could & was more than satisfactory. Despite resolving the issue after sale we hope we changed your opinion of us & hope to business with you in the near future. I can confirm we drove a total of 18 miles so it wouldn't be possible to use 3/4's of a tank of fuel Regards The Car Outlet
As I was buying from a distance, u had an AA vehicle inspection prior to purchase. My vehicle was missing it's parcel shelf and Ash assured me over the phone that they would sort this. When I arrived to collect the vehicle, I was told they didn't have one after all and to get one myself off eBay. No reduction in price was offered to compensate me. Aside from that I am very pleased with the car, but after spending so much, it's disappointing not to be perfect

I didn't promise but I said I would try but unfortunately I couldn't source one by the time you collected. The Car Outlet Dartford sold me a Chevrolet Orlando diesel automatic, in addition I bought an Autoguard warranty. Faults from the start included glow plugs, glow plug control module, air flow sensor, leaking air conditioning condenser.The Car Outlet told me to go via Autoguard to my local garage. They refused to contribute to my costs (Autoguard did not cover the glow plugs and only paid part of the other repairs). It was only by applying to The County Court Dartford that I got any of my costs back. Later faults were total failure of the gearbox while on the motorway, and after this the radiator split open. Mr Crone described me as "a very difficult customer". He has throughout been unwilling to accept responsibility for any of the cars many faults. In the judges words "Caveat Emptor".

I purchased a Jeep Cherokee from the Car Outlet, the service we got from Ash was next to none, he made us feel welcome and was very honest and he was very patient with us, that was on Sunday the 9th 4 days later my partner went back and purchased the Merc E class convertible purely because of Ash, Ash is a valuable asset to the company it is without a doubt i would recommend the car outlet to anyone when purchasing a car. thank you so much Ash.
