I have now sent my case to the Consumer Ombudsman as I am totally unsatisfied with this vehicle and any customer support or care from the staff at The Carsite.

Could you email me ASAP PLZ DAVE as I have had MAJOR issues with a vehicle that I brought from them and I really need some advice. It's been 4 months and it's been in the garage 4 times!!! Heavy issues with the engine I BROKE DOWN THIS MORNING AS MY ACCELERATION STOPPED COMPLETELY.. AND A SMOKY ENGINE. IM SO UPSET IM 26 a female that didn't know much about cars until I had to deal with this being at the garage so much,My first car and its problem after problem I have contacted trading standards not sure what to do but I can't believe this I'm literally depressed from this situation. STAY AWAYYYYYYYYYYY FROM THEMMMMMMMM PEOPLE PLZZZZZ THEY HAVE RUINED so much for me and every time I go to them or call them they rush me away... I even went to the garage that they recommended and was told that there's over 80 faults on the computer system.... Was told that I need a new air filter and sensor (not sure) and left it with them and nothing changed although I paid and they said I was covered by warranty so wasn't sure. Engine light has been since god knows DPF sign on the dash....on the third gear clicks ever since I ever had the car crank shaft pully fell off...they said was due to mileage.they sold me the car with ILLEGAL TYRES when on the documents they said everything was fine. So many other things and I've only had the car 5months I've tried so much but why should i be going through all of this with a 61 bmw. I've been completely RIPPED OFF!
KEEP AWAY!!!!! I bought a car from their car front on Bromley Hill, with full years MOT and 3 month warrenty, but after only 1 day I had trouble starting the car was told to take it to their RAC machanic who told me it was the fuel pump completely smashed, he was told by Carsite to do the repair which he had completed by the following day. I was then informed I could not have my car back until I pay £350, because of this I have now found out they are in breech of the consumer rights act 2015 and I have put trading standards on to them......Dealer was as nice as pie when selling the car but as soon as you drive away they are no longer bothered at all.
Dave Dempsey in response to Dave
The Carsite have now dealt with my problem completely and I am happy with the results of how they have treat my situation.
I purchased a BMW from here back in July and I have had many issues with the car. The car also didn't come with any paperwork or a spare key despite the advert saying there would be one. I had to ask the dealers to get the car cleaned before I collected it as it was not clean. The car has had to have over £500 worth of repairs. I would not recommend them.

The Carsite in London have been great! I would recommend them. I purchased a Vauxhall Corsa in July and I have had no major issues with it! The sales team have been really helpful and the car is very good value for money. Very happy.

I recently purchased a 320d touring from car site. i was a bit cautious after noticing some negative reviews. I am really happy with the car . The were very friendly and let me take my time without rushing me. I was very surprised how well they treated me. I would recommend them to my family.
They have sold me a car with illegal tyres on the rear. I gave them the opportunity to rectify this and they returned the car with second hand tyres that were in an even more dangerous state. Run flats that should not be repaired had been repaired in illegal areas! It will now cost me £290 to make the car legal. There were many other faults that they do not want to fix. I am disgusted and regret even going to the dealership. They are ignoring my emails

Hi, we are sorry that you feel that you have had problems with your vehicle. the facts are that your tyres were not illegal as you had stated and all other problems that you flagged to us were dealt with as soon as possible. we always try to deal with any problems as quickly as possible and all our vehicles come with an RAC warranty.
BEWARE BEWARE BEWARE DO NOT BUY FROM THIS GARAGE They are all very nice and very helpful while they are doing the deal. 5 days after buying the car, the car had to go to the garage as it had an oil leak, split window wipers, no cigarette lighter, no TV which was one of their main selling points. How did it get through an MOT???? 10 weeks after buying a Range Rover the wheel bearings collapsed leaving me with a £3000 bill. The RAC warranty which I paid £400 is not worth the paper it is written on. They will not cover it as they say its usual wear and tear. You go into the garage and they say don't worry we will speak to the questionable RAC rep who should be able to put this through, we wish you had given us a ring and we would have put it through one of our garages and we would have pushed it through on the warranty. Really??? This is how dodgy they are. You do things property and pay for a warranty which you think is the best thing to do, but of course it wont go through because I suspect they are getting incentives to sell these warranties that are worthless. Well I am reporting them to trading standards and the DVLA. I am not going away quietly.
thecarsite from The Car Site London in response to Exploited fobbed off woman
we are sorry about the problems that you have had with your vehicle. You failed to point out that the vehicle was in perfect working order when it left us as we check this with every car. you covered 5500 miles in the vehicle before the problem arose and unfortunately carried on driving the vehicle causing further damage and this is why the rac did not cover the claim.
The Car Site review. Summay – 2 ½ * I would give the car site the above rating due to two part of our transaction. 1st part was the beginning when I went to the site itself, they were friendly; seemed knowledgeable and frankly rather welcoming. The car I purchased turned out to be a good car with a minor oil leak (common fault with BMW 3 series 320i) good clean example. 2nd part was the after car – once I left the car site the initial attitude was good. As the immediate days went on their true colours started to show (please see detailed review below). Overall I would recommend the car site but with hesitation – I would recommend to someone who was thick skinned and who wouldn’t be pushed around as I believe if a weak person was buying a car they would end up short changed. I would not recommend to my friends on the basis of I do not believe they deserve the deal based on their attitude which seems consistent with other reviews written about them especially the dealer I dealt with. Where do I start? So initially if I wrote this review based on their initial upfront service when purchasing I would have probably given a 5* review but unfortunately I am not and this is now 2 weeks since purchasing. Initial purchase – When first approaching the Car Site Bromley I saw the car I was looking for and decided to go inside to their office/hut area to discuss. I was approached by 2 very approachable men who seemed very nice and wanted to help. After discussing financial options I asked to go on a test drive. Note if you have been here before you would know they do not have a particular big car lot and my car was stuck right in the middle of the pack. Tom (the guy who was dealing with my sale) said “if I get this car out I need to know whether you are buying it”. I thought this was particularly pressuring as I haven’t driven the car yet and wouldn’t be sure if I liked it until I was inside and moving. I replied saying exactly that “I am very interested in the car but until I drive it I cannot commit to buying it”. Once driven I was excited as it was a BMW and I told him I will have it. He had to valet the car and sort a few scuffs out (which he honestly admitted that he may not be able to do as it would cost too much, at this point it was down to me if I was willing to accept the car with the small markings which I was) Collection day – On the day of collection as you can imagine I was extremely excited as I was buying a new car so I made my way to the car site. Once I got there I was finalising paperwork which didn’t take too long but before I signed I gave the car a once over and noticed that the marks were not greatly improved but were slightly better so that was fine. I then noticed that the indicator light was not attached to the car and that it couldn’t be reattached as the fixing had snapped off, I also noted a small dent in the roof which wasn’t there the day I test drove it. The dent was like an acorn had fallen onto the roof nothing massive but still noticeable especially when the car was as clean and shiny as it was. I mentioned this to Tom and he said all will be sorted and we made a date of the following Wednesday to come and get the bits sorted out, he asked me to call him the Tuesday before so we could sort a time out. Agreed and I drove away. Finally all was good above and based on that I would have been extremely happy with the overall transaction however I have a couple things here which is why they don’t get 5*’s. They didn’t have the log book as they said it was a new car and they have sent off it so they had to wait for that to come in therefore I couldn’t tax the car. Tom provided me with 1 day drive away insurance and also said I can drive the car under its previous owner’s tax for the day and hopefully the logbook will come tomorrow to tax the vehicle. The logbook didn’t come and I was worried I was driving away an untaxed vehicle so I called up and he said he is going down to the post office right now and debited the 6 months tax money from my account to pay via cheque. He said he would email back to give me confirmation of what he was doing (I always get things in writing as it protects me if anything happened). He didn’t email so I called back and apparently he was collecting a car then he was going to the post office according to the other salesmen. Another 2 hours went by and I called up and Tom answered and said he has done the tax and all is ok but I asked him to email for my sake. On Tuesday I called him to discuss a time to sort out the issues I had with the car he said he hasn’t been able to get hold of his dent guy but come down tomorrow and they will sort the indicator out, I should mention at this time that they provided a service on the car before sale but it is not one they can stamp in service book (I do not know why) but I noticed my service light was still on so on the same day they were meant to knock the light off. I asked when they were going to sort the dent out they said they are trying to call him but can’t get hold of him. I asked what they would do if they couldn’t and whether they would pay for someone else to do it they replied abruptly “No”. Tom wasn’t at the car site on the Wednesday as it was his day off and the other sales men don’t seem to get involved if it isn’t their sale. So I called up today (Thursday – day after I went down to get the car sorted) Tom answered the phone and I explained I am feeling a little fobbed off and he replied that “I am annoying him now as I am calling everyday” as you can imagine this really got to me as it would anybody. I explained that I just wanted the car sorted so I don’t have to get in contact anymore and on the day of buying it he had 5 days to call this dent guy to sort a day out and he didn’t – this is not my fault. He gave me the mobile dent repair guy’s number (I believe to get me off his back) and said to mention his name and the car site and the dent repair guy would come to my home to sort the dent out. I mentioned to him that the reason I called all them times before were all valid and there had been A few times where he or his co-worker said you would call me back and they didn’t and I expected a bit of customer service and did not think his response was at all professional. Astoundingly his response was “we don’t need to have customer service we are 2nd hand car dealers” I was star struck that that even came out of his mouth. I literally had no response – I would say that they do have some good customer service but I think their aftercare could do with a major UPGRADE! And a change in attitude was also in order. I called the dent guy as suggested and he called me back within the hour as it was initially going straight to voicemail. We agreed on Monday morning to sort it out and agreed to text each other on Sunday to confirm we are both still happy to proceed. Monday morning – the Dent guy (Dev 07909966449) came on Monday morning who by the way was a really nice guy and done a great job. I explained that Tom from the car site has said that they were going to sort the payment out but to my surprise he responded “they haven’t tried to call him and wasn’t aware of this fix” so he called them there and then and they confirmed they would pay for said dent. Please refer to summary (at the beginning)

Ash in response to They know who i am
Was so close to buying a car from these guys worth over £10000 but now am having second thoughts about there aftercare attitude and service after reading the reviews...
BEWARE BEWARE BEWARE!!! I bought a car 5 months ago with a 1 year RAC Warranty, the Clutch went, I contacted RAC to be told there was no warranty in place, not even the 3 month one they offer with every sale! I contacted the Car Site to be told I wasn't offered a years warranty, basically made me out as a liar! their word against mine! make sure you check this out before you buy, sadly my mistake, you trust someone and it comes back in your face, I thought dodgy car dealers were a thing of the past, sadly not! they are great when you are buying a car but beware with their after care service, to quote the person I spoke with " you are doing my head in, I am going to terminate the call" need I say more??
THE CAR SITE from The Car Site London in response to Upset Customer
Hi Miles, we really cant believe you put a bad review about us, You failed to mention that you bought the car over 8 months ago and covered over 9000 miles as you use the car for your work purpose, we gave you a standard 3 months warranty which we offered for you to extend to a full year in which you refused, you also failed to mention that i gave you a very reasonable price for your part exchange which had numerous issues with and had nearly 200,000 miles on, we do our up most best to keep our customers happy and treat them fairly, Unfortunately owning a car comes with running cost, the issue flagged came 8 months after and 9000 miles
When I was interested in the car they were as helpful as you like but once I drove it off the forecourt the service totally dipped. I had an issue with the car within a month and was told it wasn't covered under warranty, their mechanic quoted me double what BMW did and they told me they serviced the car but the service light came on after a few weeks. I wouldn't use them again.
