On the plus side they were able to arrange my finance extremely quickly and easily and were pleasant people to talk to. However, I was disappointed to have to get the car to the nearest garage as it was handed over empty of fuel and then to have two engine warning lights on the dash and audio connection issues before getting the vehicle home! Straight to Halfords to buy AdBlue and Coolant and generally a big dampener on what was meant to be an exciting day - Left feeling insecure about whether I'd made a mistake. A week later and I am enjoying the car and got over the poor buying experience but discover the dealer did not notify DVLA of change of registered keeper - Had to intervene/chase and without a V5C can't put my private plates on yet. Attention to detail is missing here. It's about more than the car but the experience for the customer and mine wasn't great.

Following an enjoyable and professional purchase experience with the Hertford Car Company I collected my Range Rover Autobiography from them on 4th November. Unfortunately, and completely out of their control, after a week of driving an issue occurred with the running of the car. Because I had followed Ray’s advice and had taken out a one-year warranty, I was able to take the car into a local garage which was warranty company approved. This garage shall remain nameless. Today after 3 weeks of what felt like a tragic comedy, the car was eventually collected from the garage from hell. However, my experience with this garage would have been significantly worse if it hadn’t been for Ray’s whole hearted support from beginning to end. He contacted the garage on my behalf on a number of occasions to get them back on track following a number of incorrect diagnostics and also to ensure my interests were being taken care of. Throughout the whole process Ray kept in constant touch with me. Furthermore, Ray and Hertford Car Company paid me a significant amount of money for part of the fix which wasn’t covered under warranty. He and Hertford Car Company have truly gone above and beyond to ensure I am a very satisfied customer. Without reservation I recommend The Hertford Car Company.

Don't be stupid and buy any car from this company. The reviews you have read are people who wrote their reviews immediately. I waited 9 months to ensure the car didn't have any hidden faults and they did. I bought a used Vauxhall Zafira from this horrible company and i regret it now. Within the first three months of buying this car, the window switch didn't work, the water pump was leaking and the clutch was faulty. Took it back to their garage and they claimed they have fixed these problems. About four months ago the clutch problem returned again and the reverse light stopped working. Then a week ago the coolant indicator came on, i topped it up but it kept on draining. I called this horrible company again and they said they are not liable and would only look at it out of the goodnss of their heart. They procastinated before picking the car, to sum it up they reattached a radiator pipe and refused to fix the clutch problem. Worst of all, they stupidly drove the car for 8 miles to my home with the collant indicator flashings and risking damage to the gasket. Nine months of using this car, i haven't driven up to 400 miles, but its clutch is faulty, the collant is leaking, the reverse light isn't working and the car shakes alot. Don't make the mistake i have made and buy car from this company you might be lucky if the car isn't faulty but will regret if it is.

I visited The Hertford Car Company [THCC] in response to an advert for a 2010 SAAB 9-3 Estate, I was impressed with the way that they allowed my wife and I all the time we needed to look over the car, without any pressure, but were there to answer any questions we had. We were very happy with the SAAB, and it was exactly as described. The price of the car was more than fair, and we purchased it immediately. We paid a deposit and THCC serviced the car, ready for is to collect a few days later. They, THCC, even helped us tax the car on the day we picked it up. All in all, it was a stress free and straightforward experience and we would have no hesitation recommending THCC to any prospective car buyers.
