Having bought an Immaculate RCZ from this Company I was a bit miffed when finding that the Sat nav did not work This is common on this model and expensive too So I decided to go to see the 'proprietor and put the issue to him, I was first offered a reasonable reduction of the price, Then he suggested that the car needs a working Sat nav which forms part of the 'Limited Edition' package, ( therefore a 'must have working item ) He phoned a Company that deals specifically with Sat Nav Problems, and allowed me to seek assurance that the car will be repaired to my satisfaction, I asked a few questions to the sat Nav People ie Will the rest of the cars electrics and dash board have to be disturbed or tampered with And was assured that it will not. The car has been booked in to have the work carried out And Ray ( the proprietor) of the Hertford Car Company has offered me a sum of money back on top of the repair work Because as he said '''I have a well known reputation to keep''' Well, 'fingers crossed' if the job is done satisfactorily, I will then give this Company a 'Thumb's up' There's not many people these days in that trade like the one I have just experienced.... We went to view a Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV this weekend (low mileage, good spec....which I absolutely loved) and I managed to convince the hubby that we should buy it. Westy took us both for two separate test drives as we had the kids with us, which was very accommodating. I then returned the next morning to pay the deposit on the car. After I had got home, hubby had a change of heart and decided he didn't want to spend any money on a new car so I rang Hertford cars who were absolutely lovely about it and very understanding. They said that although I had lost them business as they had cancelled a viewing, they would still process a full refund and posted a receipt back to our home address out of goodwill. Trustworthy and lovely team, highly recommend. Will return when I have convinced hubby to spend some money.

Its not just selling a shiny car in the forecourt, its what happens when there is a little hiccup... This is where the Hertford car company really came up trumps. We went to buy the very first car for my daughter i was impressed with the courteous, 'non-pressured' sales technique, ' here's the car, look around at your own pace and i'll come back when you are ready'... and we ended up buying a lovely little Honda Jazz for her. a week later there was a small issue with the exhaust blowing (i might add that the car had been MOT'd before delivery and they didn't spot any problem with the exhaust), so i phoned to report the problem... after they had finished apologising and with no argument a new exhaust was ordered and fitted at a time that suited me... as i say anyone can sell a shiny car, but the acid test is how the dealer responds when there is a problem, and i've got to say on their sales and after service i have found the Hertford car company exceed my expectations in almost every area. So much so, my other daughter will be looking for a car within the next month or so and our first stop will be back to these people to see what stock they have.

I purchased a VW Shuttle from Hertford Car Company and it came with a warranty. I had an issue after 4 weeks and Ray resolved with zero quibble and turned the repair around very quickly. I really can't recommend these guys enough. I've always dealt with main dealerships in the past and once the car is sold the aftersales is awful. With Ray, the service is the same before and after the sale, in a world full of negative views towards "second hand car salesman" this dealer really stands out as a genuine and honest. I will be a returning customer.

I bought a Kia Sedona from the Hertford Car Company. We did get off to a rocky start as I had to wait over an hour to view the vehicle. Despite this I decided to purchase the car and was promised it would be serviced and a few other jobs done before I could collect. I picked the car up after about three weeks and was really happy with it. After a month the engine started to cut out so I rang and spoke to Ray, who agreed to purchase the part we all thought I needed and post it to me. This didn't work so took the car to Kia and had a diagnostic check. Turned out to be the injectors and Kia quoted £1500 to repair the car. At this point I rang Ray again and he agreed to do the work for me at no cost to myself. The work was done very quickly and the car is now running lovely. They are a friendly company and I would recommend them.

I brought a Honda Jazz from the Hertford Car Company in August. Great car, just what I was looking for. There were a couple of minor things to the car that needed doing (small dent, break pads, spare wheel and tools missing, and judder when pulling away which was to do with the gearbox oil), by the time I picked it up, it was all sorted, even had another MOT done so I didnt have to get that done in a couple of months. The judder started again after driving for a week or so. I called up the office and explained (think his name was Clint, new guy working there), I was booked in that week, the mechanic took my car straight away and cleaned it all out again with fresh oil and its been running perfect ever since (The Jazz seems to experience this problem) . All in all, very happy with the car, the staff are all nice, and thank you for a great car.
