I bought a 2018 Range Rover Evoque from the web cat site in April 2024. Since then I have had to have two auxiliary belts fitted, a new DPF fitted costing £1500 just for the part, then it was cam shaft issue and now it has problems with its bearings which will cost an estimated £3000. I am a fifty year old woman so I don’t abuse the car to cause this damage. I have tried contacting the car sales but they don’t reply. So unless you want a hefty bill after what seemed like a reasonable deal then don’t buy from here. As for being AA checked I can’t see how they wouldn’t have noticed these issues especially the DPF. I am now going to have to scrap the car as I can’t afford to pay anymore out on it, which as you can imagine won’t leave me with much to buy another car.
Buying my 5 series from Mike was an absolute dream. Doing the deal was so much easier than having to deal with the rubbish of main dealer extras and add ons. When I got the car home, I noticed the electric parcel shelf wasn’t working properly. Mike told me to get it booked in, and they’d sort it. Because I was really busy, I have only just managed to get the car booked in 2 months after purchase. BMW provided me with a quote, which I messaged Mike about and all credit to him, despite the elapsed time, he has paid me the invoice cost. Whilst the car was in with BMW, they did a complimentary health check and it was all totally fine. Completely faultless experience, couldn’t be happier.

I bought a car a few weeks ago & I found Mike very easy to deal with; he's laid back but answers any questions that you have straight away. Luckily the car came with a three month warranty as a couple of days after my purchase the car wouldn't go into gear; I called Mike and straight away he got around to sorting it. I decided to take it back to him to let him get his mechanic to deal with it (he had said it was up to me if I wanted to take it to my local garage or back to him) & as it took longer than first thought, Mike dropped a BMW over as a curtesy car until mine was fixed. He brought my car back as soon as it was fixed & ready & so far, so good. I would use The Car Web Site again.

I had purchased a vehicle back in April 2021 from this dealership to then find out once I had the mot done in September 2021 that the vehicle had been in a medium impact accident and the vehicle had over £7k worth of damage that had been repaired with filler? The car was HPI checked before purchasing and it all came back clear and also asked the dealer if there was any issues with the car and was assured that it was absolutely fine and there was no issues. Once contacting the dealership they had refused to take the vehicle back and was not very polite to be in contact with. The vehicle I had purchased is worth less than half of what I paid for it. Would not recommend purchasing any vehicle from this company.

We have purchased many car from Mike Penny at web car site . He has done a wonderful job , if we had any problems with any cars it was sorted straight way . Our bmw 530 d had a engine problem , he send us to a bmw garage which sorted the car out 100% plus we got a courtesy car while our car was being done . We had the car for over 5 yrs without any trouble . Great customer service well done and yes we would buy another car from Mike penny

I am saddened to write this review as on meeting Callum (the web car site owner) I liked him a lot and believed him to be a nice person and I think this is the first time in my life I have ever thought something is bad enough to write a review. I purchased a mini from this business (found them via autotrader who I am also making a complaint to) in June of last year, I get the train to work so wasn't driven very much but within the first month of having it it developed 'engine overheating'' warning and engine began to lose power - my knowledge of cars is fairly limited but given it had barely been driven I found this worrying so contacted Callum and he came and took the car away as it was within its 3 month purchase warranty. The car was returned 4-5 weeks later and callum reassured me that it was fixed and that the head gasket had been faulty and he had fixed it and would email me the mechanics summary (this never happened and I have chased him for this since but with no reply). The car was not driven very much at all over the next few months due to covid lockdown but when I started to drive it again in February again the engine overheating warning came on again. I took the car to mini this time as I had lost some confidence in Callum after he had failed to fix it previously and had not sent me the mechanics summary. Unfortunately the Mini Garage people advised me that the car's engine needed replaced entirely but more worryingly, the engine that was in the car was NOT the car engine that was registered to the car (despite the car being sold supposedly with a full service history?). So this was very worrying. Mini garage people also reported the car engine was covered in paint (not sure why this was). I, of course, contacted Callum immediately to ask him to take the car back and provide me with a refund or to at the least repair it as it is the same issue that was clearly at fault during the warranty period). Callum did not take my calls, did not respond to my voicemails asking for him to please call me to discuss and responded via text just saying that he didn't know it was not the right engine for the car. He told me in text he would get back to me after speaking with her father but he never did. I am now left in a situation where the quote to repair the car by mini is £8500 (to replace the engine) and the car can not be driven or sold as it is not working. This has left me really upset - I have started legal proceedings to recoup the money paid to the web car site and I want to raise awareness to other potential buyers to beware.

0 if I could. I was sold a written off car with a forged service history. Ignored letters and phone calls. Scammed out of my money. After doing research on Callum and Michael Penny, realised they would much rather create fake profiles to review their own company than sell road safe cars. Put me off of Autotrader and second hand cars. Police and Citizens Advice where so helpful however due to the stress of it all, I decided to drop the claim despite being in a good position to win my money back. I beg anyone who reads this, please don't purchase a car here. Many other people have had the same issue as me, I wouldn't want anyone to be scammed like I was.
