I purchased a Ford S-MAX the car was delivered on the Friday look great didn't need the car over the weekend but when I went to use it on the Monday I couldn't release the handbrake I spoke to the workshop at tileys and was told to take the car to my local garage which I did on inspection they Found the handbrake mechanism was faulty the rear trailing arm bushes were hanging out a brake pipe rusted tileys sold the car with a new MOT Which I have been told it should never have passed.I wish I had found this site as i would have run a mile from them if I had read these reviews, it is now going to cost me over a thousand pounds to put the car right.

I went to view a car and whilst test driving it the engine warning light came on twice and the car juddered ! When I got back they did a diagnostic check after I asked and it would of been two faults one expensive, but I know from speaking to a mechanic could of been worse. We asked for all work to be done and after we would take it for a test drive and want to watch a diagnostic check being done after as we’d read the awful reviews for this company. They agreed and then after seeing my trade in which we know is worth at very bottom price £960 the sales man came in saying all negative things and said he’d give us £400!!!! Even though he admitted the forecourt price is £2,000!! He was then really rude to us when we said he was trying to reap back the money for work on the car we had viewed. He was extremely rude to our mechanic when he questioned the trade in price and was very unprofessional. A very lucky escape and we will now avoid this garage at all costs.

Finding fault with the heater within four weeks of buying a car from Tiley Motors, we returned to the garage expecting a standard of service that would see them willing to put things right. Anything but! We were told the issue wasn’t covered by the 3 month warranty which, in line with trading standards, is irrelevant. The outcome was to take the car to another garage in whom we could trust to fix the problem. All in all, very poor attitude, very unprofessional and not at all trustworthy.

Unhelpful from the start and hard to get hold of. Feel stupid for buying a very overpriced car . Didn’t view until delivered due to covid . First mistake ! Looked ok on delivery . They literally handed keys and went . 1 set of keys given when asked why there wasn’t 2 they just shrugged. On first torrential rainfall there were deep scratches all over the paintwork and I’m talking a substantial amount , massive scratch down the back bumper ! Obviously covered with tricks of trade . Daily problems with car . Buy elsewhere if you can .
Bought the car and within 3 miles gearbox fault warning light came on. Took car back next day and asked for full refund which they did (30 days under consumer act 2015), so can't fault that at all. Bit worrying car was readvertised that day with a gearbox fault.
Never again ! I had a service light come on within two weeks of buying my car from the Bristol garage. I took it back for them to only turn the light off ! It came back on within leaving the garage with it indicating blocked filter. Took the car back to be told it’s just the settings. Within two months the engine management light came on & car went into limp mode. Took the car back to be told the DPF filter isn’t covered on the warrantee. The car cost me £3095 to buy & has cost £2500 to get it fixed !! I will not be buying a car from this garage again. Please do not get a car from this garage the cars at dodgy !!

Amazing service especially during these funny times. Really happy with all the staff and the car. Highly recommended
Tiley Motors are everything that is bad about used a car dealership. Over priced, poor with customer service and dodgy cars that are sold with a smile. I bought a car that had loads of things wrong that they denied was wrong but were caught out about. Some problems were sorted after pressure but the bad paintwork that had been hidden using tricks of the trade were ignored. This company lost customers because of how they deal and I found out when it was too late that, locally in their corner of Bristol they have a very bad reputation? Carwow is opening soon on the old Rolls Royce factory site at Gipsy Patch Lane near Patchway of the A38 north Bristol. Used car dealers beware.

Avoid Tiley of Bristol. Do not buy from here. The car I purchased had been previously written off. I was not informed of this when I purchased and only found out from the DVLA. Do not trust them.

Tileys, what can I say, at least criminals usually wear balaclavas but this bunch take your right in front your face then don’t give a stuff. I bought a Vauxhall Insignia from them for £3589 and on the test drive it overheated but so say was fixed within hrs so gave them the benefit of the doubt, another test drive and stupidly bought it. Within 11 days the car was misfiring, struggling to accelerate, shaking when braking, radiators we also found to be held in with plastic cable ties, not to mention the new tyres I had to put on a day after picking up due to a bulge in the side wall. It was meant to have had a MOT, pdi and a service, more like a stamp in the book and that’ll do. When I asked for refund as it was within 30 days I was told NO! as these were all minor issues, I argued it was not fit for purpose (I.e transporting my family safely) Tileys so say repaired all the defects without contacting so to me that imply it was faulty. I had the car collected by a recycler and lost almost £2.5k but a small price to pay to save anyone else from this death trap. My advice would be NEVER set foot in this garage you will regret it but if you do, have every inspection available and even take it for an independent MOT as this will show the true condition. Some of the cars I saw being ‘made nice for sale’ when taking my pile of rubbish back looked like they picked up a job lot from a scrap yard.
