Very impressed. Polite no pressure sales. Make sure you properly know your values/costs when talking money, do a thorough appraisal of the vehicle, be reasonable and the result will be fair. The car was prepared exactly as agreed and I was particularly impressed as I'd left my sunglasses on the windscreen at the test drive. They were collected, kept in the vehicle wallet and returned to me on collection of the vehicle. The service history booklet, which was separated from the rest of the history at purchase was forwarded a couple of weeks later. This is used car sales so don't expect a picnic but be firm and decent and you'll get a fair deal.
I received nothing but disgraceful customer service. Do not trust a car salesman from this establishment. From day 1 bought secondhand car and its been nothing but trouble. The manner in which the staff spoke to me was distgusting. Almost as if I was making a big deal out of it and that 'so what' the car has had nothing but faults I should just get over it. The two cars we twst drove had engine fault lights on and the courtesy car has an engine fault light. Dont trust them.

No doubt this guy has a ferrari parked two streets away to stop people like me wanting to kick it in for the terrible service I got from this dealer. I bought a secondhand car for my wife in cash from SW France as the secondhand cars in France are overpriced. Kept in touch by e-mail with flight times etc and told that a member of staff would collect me from the airport. (HOW COME I HAD TO GET A TAXI AT £28 THEN?????) I arrived with my wife to find the car I had bought had taped up wing mirrors, a teardrop of fuel, heavy marks to the paintwork and trims missing. I did not get a warm welcome or offered a refund for my taxi. No coffee offered and too worried to drive the car too far as fear of running out of fuel. This dealer was FULLY INFORMED that I needed the car to be in good order as I had to drive it home to SW France. After fueling up and getting on our way, we experienced a load knocking noise from the passenger front wheel. DO NOT BUY FROM THESE PEOPLE

I stumbled across this site while searching for something else but having just bought my 3rd car from this dealer (over a period of nearly 10 years) I have nothing but praise for both the sales and service departments. I can only imagine the above negative reviews are isolated examples of what I've always found to be an efficient, courteous and dare I add "busy" dealership!
I bought a Mercedes A class from this dealer a year ago for just a touch under 5k I thought that the dealer was a good bet, how wrong I was. spoke to a women called Janie@yiley.com completely useless at her job, happy to take the money, but customer skills are poor. I had the car a week and drove to Plymouth and the windscreen part flew o0ff and cracked the screen. rang her to see what she could do as I had 3 months warranty.....Awful and did nothing at all tried rinding/e-mailing, though I got 2 replies but in the end she just ignored the e-mails......MY OPINION IS DONT GO WITH THIS FIRM.......EVER
'TILEY OF BRISTOL' sold me a shiny banger! Auto box on car screwed. 6 days before 'Tileys of Bristol' could take it back for repair. After receiving took another 7 to do an 'oil change'! I picked up car drove...sorry limped home on 'limp mode' as after 5 miles it stopped running! Garaged the car & sued for money back. We Paid by card, to protect against thieving car sales. We won & got our money back after 7 long weeks. Do not give them your money! Do not but a shiny car with a crap engine from them. Because anything goes wrong they don't give a toss! Warning...ALWAYS PAY BY CREDIT CARD as we did. So you are safer.
My initial experience was good. Helpful and lenient sales staff happy to go the extra mile. They agreed to check in and around the turbo for air leaks as part of the sale but managed I miss a crack in the exhaust manifold so offered to weld it up. I opted to have them fit my new part labour free though so good result. My only negative is that the courtesy car that was supplied was on its last legs and the engine cut out 8 times on my return trip to the garage leaving me stalled on a dangerouse duel carriage way. Upon phoning the garage to get rescued they had no contingency for this and no intention to rescue us. I decided to keep on plodding in down as dangerouse as it was as I wanted my car back. So my suggestion to Tiley's: get breakdown cover if your going to maintain such bad courtesy cars. My suggestion to customers: be aware vehicles priced to sell will need work and make sure things are gaurenteed in your contract of sale.
Not a good experience. I came to Tiley to view a car which was listed as having 70k mileage, when it actually had almost 80k on the clock. Overlooking this, I proceeding to buy it nonetheless as it suited my needs. When I came to pick up the car it transpired that the CD was totally inoperable. This had clearly not been checked, despite the car being advertised as having a 6-CD changer. After 90 minutes of waiting while they took the dash apart, they basically came back and conceded that the CD player didn't work and that "it is what it is". Not much in the way of an apology and they certainly didn't seem to care about the whopping inconvenience. At the very least, I got a full refund, but this little escapade has cost me several hours which I will not get back. Avoid!
I have purchased cars from some good dealers in Bristol, from Brunel Ford to Wessex Garage, and received exceptional service. However, I wish to warn other potential customers who drive past Tiley Of Bristol, to keep on driving past. The manager of the garage sold me a second hand car, assuring me that it came with a full service history as advertised on the website. I have still not to this day received the service history log, and even evidence that it was serviced before I collected my car. This happened in March 2013 and it's now October, and still waiting. I have called several times and told that my log is at a garage being stamped, or they didnt receive it,and even visited the garage, I am constantly being told lies and being fobbed off. I was told it was possible to get all the service history even if it was taken to different garages, (which I thought wasn't correct) the fact is, I just wish other people to avoid this garage to avoid being ripped off and lied to.
