Popped by T L Darby recently with view in mind of ordering a car for next year, knowing that stock is hard to find currently, Sales person couldn't have been more accommodating and the exact car that I wanted was in stock and I'm taking delivery next week! Thanks to the whole team!
I just wanted to drop a HUGE thank you to the T L Darby Volkswagen family who were superb recently in helping to fix my little VW Polo. I had been to numerous garages who each diagnosed something very different and this left me confused and pretty much at the end of my tether. However, the staff at TL Darby were brilliant at not only pin pointing the actual problem but also being able to get it rectified within 48 hours. A special mention must go to Annalise and George too who went above and beyond in terms of customer service. They were an absolute credit to the company and considering it was also my birthday when I went in to see them, they completely made it! Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!

Over 35 years of buying cars and this was the worst. Sales lady at TL Darby Select, Esther, tried her best but catalogue of errors and integrity issues unsupported by management and after sales very poor

We as a family have purchased new and used cars from TL Darby and have have seen a downhill trend since their move to the new premises. In the past, the level of service and customer focused approach have been commendable and and the staff being knowledgeable of the product. My wife and I have always been keen to tell friends and colleges about the great experience in buying from TL Darby. However, the worrying downward spiral in that 'Buying experience' has been a concern to us and needs to be fixed. The product itself is also a concern. Quality and reliability issues seem to be more common these days. I still believe in the VW brand at the moment, but do not know for how long. TL Darby, please, please sort your game out.
Had a new MG zs from TL Darby Select after a few months the radio stopped working and the usb point went into the console. After 12months the battery was dead after our two week holiday. Called the AA and he said the battery should not drain like that for 12 months old. Took the car in for a service were I highlighted all the problems. I was also promised a Complementary wash. When I fetched the car it was still dirty. The usb and radio were fixed but they insisted there was nothing wrong with the battery. They apologised for not washing the car but still insist the battery is ok. We will see! Husband fuming. Talk about customer service!!!

Terrible experience purchasing a used car from TL Darby Select. £25000 cash sale could not be easier. They failed to prepare the car, promised to re-valet it, went to collect again and still not clean! Staff are rude and argumentative. We only wanted the service you should expect from a main vw dealer and have been left short at every transaction. All they could do is say sorry - admitting the catalogue of errors but offering nothing to rectify the situation. Avoid this dealer.

Bought a used car from TL Darby. Drove about 7k miles, took it to different main dealer - shocked to be told the car was dangerous and shouldn’t be on the road. Had to replace all discs and pads over 90% worn. TL Darby wouldn’t accept responsibility- felt so let down by their poor service.

Purchased a used car just under 10k from TL Darby MG/Select. Two days later started to have an issue, fuel leaking and fumes. Took to manufacture to be informed it had a new engine and parts are missing. Fixed and paid by TL, one month later engine starts to bang, took to garage more money spent told fuel injectors TL collected car, gave temp car while they fix, told to check car over. Got car back, A/C doesn’t function, took to garage, more money spent on checking. Inform TL they offer to purchase back then get ignored by Manager when stated yes, had to get CEO involved to get back most of the cars value. Lost £500 of value plus garage diagnostics to find out the problems. Was informed a one off repair, manager stated unaware, told staff member who did the fault to first engine is no longer there but still doesn’t explain why parts were missing when put back together. Over half the time had the car was in repairs. Overall would buy a car from them but be aware of hidden history which can occur at any dealership.
