I recently bought a Volvo XC60 from Touchdown Motors and after a couple of days a message appeared saying “Engine System Service Required” A computer test showed that both door mirrors were faulty and there was a problem with the turbo boost despite the car performing well. I informed Touchdown who immediately replaced the mirrors and tested the turbo, which appeared to be ok. The car ran fine but after a couple of days the message re-appeared. Touchdown had the car again and changed all the filters that involved the turbo, serviced the car and again the car ran fine but after a couple of days the message was back again. Maz then decided to have the car checked out by Volvo and their computer system identified a faulty sensor in the manifold. This was changed and the car ran fine again for a couple of days until the message was back. It then transpired that the wrong sensor was changed. The correct sensor was fitted and the car has run fine, which it always has, but the message hasn't come back. All through this episode, Touchdown's attitude was that whatever needs doing will be done to make sure that the problem was sorted to my satisfaction. Their attitude and attention was excellent.

I'm absolutely thrilled with my car purchase from Touchdown Motors. Maz went above and beyond to ensure i was happy with the purchase. He gave me a thorough introduction, outlined all the details of the car specification. He worked very well within the safe covid restrictions. I was able to access, several interior and exterior videos and photos of the vehicle to put my mind at ease. There was never any pressure. I feel i have good value for money with my Qashqai! Purchased p/x Mondeo from Maz back in October. From first impressions, it looked wonderful from the outside, clean & very tidy on the inside and was as described on the website. Pleasantly surprised for the quality of the car, especially being a trade-in. After a test drive, found a minor fault, after raising this issue with Maz, he got his guys on the case the same day to rectify the fault. Great thing about Maz is he's open to a competitive deal on price and not stick to them rigidly as he knocked £400 off the original price. Very impressed he has on-site workshop allowing for on going maintenance to all vehicles on the forecourt. But another great issue with Maz is that he has a wonderful approach to customers & no way do you feel obligated or feel uncomfortable if you don't make a purchase. There is nothing worse than aggressive car salesmen. Maz threw in some extras for me & let me keep the car on his premises for another week until I could collect it. For everyone out there, check out Touchdown Motors of Bedford and from the first contact with Maz, you will understand what a knowledgeable guy he is. Well i drove from norwich to bedford to look at a car for the wife i can honestly say he was a true gentleman he went through the car with us inside and out went through the paper work made the sale actually enjoyable the wife screamed when she saw the car totally over the moon car was immaculate inside and out
