I have just bought a used car from Tower Hill garage, the service was excellent and Alan the salesman was great, he never gave me the hard sell instead he just let me make up my own mind. Drove 50 miles to view a vehicle at £8.5k and I was interested enough to ask for a test drive but as I was short of time, had no trade in and did not require finance and it was raining, plus the vehicle needed a very good valet due to a dog I would have returned with my better half at the weekend. I was refused a test drive as apparently their margins are so tight they can’t afford it. Never had that in 40 years! Certainly wouldn’t bother going back to Tower Hill Garage.

We feel you have unfortunately misunderstood the conversation surrounding the test drive. We never have any issue with customers test driving vehicles if they're looking to proceed with a purchase (subject to a satisfactory test drive). In this instance and by your own admission, you stated that you wished to return to view the vehicle with your wife at the weekend in order to make a decision together. As such, it was suggested by us that upon your return we would be more than happy for you both to test drive the vehicle at the same time. For further clarification, we've never refused any test drive on the grounds of tight margins or affordability - we're actually slightly bemused by this statement. As an independent small business, we'll obviously try to keep costs (such as fuel for example) to a minimum, which is why we would've suggested providing you both with the one test drive (as opposed to two separate ones). We apologise if you misunderstood during your recent visit. Moving forward, the vehicle is currently available and you're more than welcome to return with your wife to view and test drive the vehicle together before making your decision. poped in tower hill garage today for a px on a vehicle they have for sale i asked the question how much would you part exchange against a particular car, i was asked the question with a question which was how much do you think its worth all car dealers quote different prices so i asked again how much would you give me in px for a particular car he said again how much do you want for it. if i cant get a price for my car how do i know how much to spend ???? i wont be back ever px not your strong point
Recently purchased a Land Rover Freelander from Tower Hill Garage and was very pleased with the way Alan and the team made the whole process very easy. The car was in excellent condition and they got it mot and taxed in just three days after I first enquired and they dealt with the change of ownership saving me a lot of time and trouble. Only downside the spare wheel was missing but I didn't check that until later so not surprised they missed that, I'll now have to purchase one from somewhere. But overall I would recommend them highly.

As with a great number of modern vehicles, this vehicle was not supplied by the manufacturer with a spare wheel from new, having been supplied with an emergency tyre repair system instead. It was possible to specify and order these vehicles with a spare wheel as an optional extra, however many buyers decided that the standard equipment emergency tyre repair kit was sufficient (resulting in some vehicles having spare wheels and others not). Our technicians carry out a pre-delivery inspection on every vehicle prior to sale and we can confirm that your vehicle did have the correct emergency tyre repair system present. I have no complaints at all about Tower Hill Garage! I purchased a Mini One in January and Its been perfect. It was in perfect condition and up to now I have had no issues with it at all. I would happily recommend this dealership to anyone.
