Had my Mustang serviced by Ford Wakefield on Saturday 12th October. When I arrived, I pointed out I couldn't open my centre console. I left the car for its service and collected it a few hours later. The centre console was still shut. A technician came out and forced it open explaining the valeter had closed it. He said it required some new parts and they would be ordered next week. I got in the car and noticed the infotainment screen was blank. I thought it maybe strange but also figured these things tend to sort themselves out so I drove home. On arrival, I read through the manual and could find nothing. I phoned Ford in Wakefield and was put through to the Technician. He said it was because I had put the car in valet mode prior to the service. I said that I knew that, but therefore I should still have a screen with the PIN number to key in. He said it was not his fault and there was nothing he could do. I explained it wasn't like it when I dropped it off. He said again there was nothing he could do, and I would have to book the car in again. After some "Googling" for advice, I eventually disconnected and reconnected the battery and the screen started working. I then realised that the reason the centre console wasn't opening was because it was also locked by the valet mode. The Technician knew this and yet still forced it open twice and claimed I needed new parts. The screen and console are now both working fine and there is nothing wrong with the car. Either the dealer trying to make a fast buck or employing incompetent Technicians. Was most annoyed at their attitude to fixing the problem.

He was so friendly and went through everything with us including all the extras they offer but at no time did we feel forced to buy . He answered all our questions and was so polite and friendly.
