This garage never fails to disappoint me, Booked a test drive in an xc90 last week for today, they rang this morning to say they have loaned the car to a customer. Last time I dealt with them, Was to replace two tailgate struts that had failed on my v60, they didn’t even have the manners to reply even though Volvo had agreed to give me a 30 percent discount. He ho I will now go to Ryebrook Chester to service my new xc90 when I buy one.

While my C70 was here for routine service, I wanted Tyn Lon to check the convertible roof pump, which is under the easily removable boot floor lining. This pump must be kept dry, so needs checking periodically. I was LIED to, when told that they had checked it, AND told that the pump is not easily checkable, when it is. This could have led to damage to the expensive pump, if it was getting wet. Volvo Chester replaced this pump, at half price, when this perfect car was out of warranty. I do not feel confident that Tyn Lon has sufficient competence to do more than basic servicing. Volvo Chester has thus had my custom, and recommendation, ever since.
I had to buy a replacement key fob from tyn lon as they are a main dealer. I waited over an hour to be told their system had a glitch and could not programme my fob, I arranged to call back a week later, after I waited over an hour again I asked what was taking so long, I was told They have been doing a vehicle health check and have just started on the key fob. I did not ask for the health check this time or the last time and have wasted two hours of my time hanging around. I was told that this is free, and is a duty of care!! What a load of crap. And it is nor free, everything is costed in the overheads. I will not be using tyn lon or any other main dealer unless absolutely necessary. I look forward to your comments.

Don’t blame you, the worst Volvo dealer I’ve ever dealt with. All the others are excellent in my opinion
