This is a copy of an email I had to send. Do not buy a car from here unless you get a full inspection. I only wish I had read the reviews beforehand..... Ben, As you know, there have been multiple and ongoing issues with the car you sold me on the 18th December 2023 for £14,990 I am still waiting for the sale invoice despite sending you the details, in advance, on 14th December After collecting the car on the 18th Dec, the steering felt unusually heavy at slow speeds and the tracking was out between 65-75mph. I called my mechanic and booked it in for January to have an inspection. These are 13/14 year old cars so I took a relaxed approach and knew the inspection would give some answers. January 31st I sent you the report from CG Motortech which highlighted many issues and an estimate to resolve costing £2702.13 I said to you most of the items are fine but could you send me the stop start button and power steering pump. On Feb 1st I gave you the address. On Feb 9th I chased again. No response On Feb 12th I chased again, spoke to you and you said you would send the parts. On Feb 14th I chased again and got no response On Feb 23rd I called you again, this time not only to chase the parts but because there was now further issues with the injectors. You said you had covid and, to quote, “come hell or high water, so will get your parts out then” Still nothing has arrived… In the meantime I have spent almost £1900 sorting stuff because I can’t keep waiting and it is clear your service levels are non existent On March 12th I sent you a video of more issues with this time either timing chains or snout coupler. During our call I explained my unhappiness with you, your service, the car you sold me and offered you to collect the car and refund me or we could let the lawyers resolve it as you have shown zero willingness to help simply breaking promises as detailed above.

In the interests of transparency and a little context, we have indeed denied a full purchase price refund when you demanded to simply return the car (after 3 months of constant use) on the strength of a grainy WhatsApp video claiming an engine bay noise. Upon sending a qualified technician familiar with the AJ133 engine (to the dealer with whom you have instructed to sell the car before even writing this review(!)), his expert diagnosis was potential slight play in the coupler of the supercharger, however not much could be heard. As you cannot deny, I offered to repair the car free of charge in our very first phone call regarding this matter, despite it not having broken down and still being in perfect working order. A point which couldn't have been better illustrated by that of your chosen resale dealer who put it on his famous Instagram page showing it being driven around London applauding how beautiful an example it is. To conclude, despite your slander I still stand by my offer for you to bring it to us to diagnose and fix if it turns out to have a fault. Two sides to every story and all that....

In the interests of transparency and facts, here is what has happened since I posted my review. Ben sent someone to have a look at the car but sadly there has been no expert diagnosis. In fact there has been zero communication from him at all - no verbal report, no written report, nothing. He never even drove the car and the coupler diagnosis came from Ben BEFORE his 'expert' came to see the car. I am still waiting on this 'expert's' report. Apparently a rough sounding engine is not a problem for Ben. it is, to quote him in his reply, in 'perfect working order'. it is this sort of approach that means I need to cut my losses and sell the car.

Hi Philipp, unfortunately I didn’t see your review before I purchased the vehicle. Ben the so called ‘salesperson’ failed to fulfill the sales agreement and has done nothing to resolve the issue. I assume you emailed AutoTrader? (if it was purchased from the website)
My Porsche Carrera 996 is a real treat to drive and I couldn't be happier. The team were very quick to help answer any of my questions, along with offering me a test drive, which really helped the decision process.

Since purchasing my new Ranger Rover Vouge I've really enjoyed driving the car as it is a very luxurious car to drive. The car is running very well and I'm enjoying the performance this car has to offer. I have noticed that there is a crack on the window screen, and this has been mentioned. Ben looked after me throughout the sales process and he has been sound to deal with.

My experience with the car has been excellent so far; everything is running smoothly, and I'm truly enjoying driving it. While it's not a significant change for me since I've had several similar cars similar to thins, I appreciate the colour and engine performance. A solid 5 out of 5 for my experience!.
I'm thrilled with the BMW 728i so far, and it's been a joy to drive. What I love most about it is the incredible comfort – after driving a 90 Mazda for 2 years, it's everything I needed in my life, comfortable and quiet. The customer service has been outstanding. Ben, in particular, is a lively and helpful individual who made the entire experience perfect and easy. I'd give a solid 5 out of 5 for Ben. I've known him for a while but hadn't bought from him before, and I would definitely choose to work with him again and wholeheartedly recommend his service.

I bought a Range Rover L322 from Ben that was described as immaculate and priced accordingly. I stupidly took him at his word and didn't go to see the car. When it turned up on a trailer it had a dead battery, was running on fumes, the rear wiper didn't work, one of the headlights is completely knackered, it has a transmission fault because of a faulty locking diff, rusty rear arches and sills that someone had just coated in waxoyl, duct tape holding the headlights in, the front bumper hanging off, a destroyed fuel tank guard, the windscreen cowl hanging off, snapped lower tailgate strap, multiple trim pieces hanging off on door and window seals, rear window seal broken and hanging off, the parking sensors don't work, the rearview camera doesn't work, incorrect wheel bolts in both rear wheels, no rear parcel shelf and a missing towhook. Ben also said it had recently had a new reconditioned gearbox installed but one look at it will tell you that's not true and it was supposed to be serviced before delivery, which also wasn't done. Ben has an Instagram where he posts well taken pictures of seemingly nice cars (including mine) and seems to talk the talk over txt but the reality is that he's like any other car dealer passing rubbish off as good quality. There are at least 3 faults listed here that are MOT failures and it turned up with a fresh MOT so I guess he has a MOT accomplice too. He refused to refund me so I took him to small claims court where he defaulted and lost. He was told by the courts to pay me back in full but instead dissolved his LTD company to avoid having to pay. I don't know what name he's trading under now but I would advise to just absolutely avoid like the plague. I'll chalk up my experience as a tuition payment in the school of life.

Hi Tom, I’m responding to your review because I too have been stung by Mr Ben Thomas c/o V8 Vault. I bought a L322 from this ‘chancer’ the vehicle had a dead battery which I had to replace and no parcel shelf. His response was meaningless and just words, mostly BS. It’s a real pity we can’t hold individuals like this to account.
Part exchanged my 911 for a beautiful 4S that Ben had for sale. The customer service that I received was impeccable from start to finish. All documentation and paperwork was dealt with and the delivery was immediate. V8 took all the stress out of buying a vehicle and I couldn't recommend them highly enough. Massive thanks guys. 5 stars all the way
Bought a lovely C63 from Ben. It was in really nice condition and the drive back to London was worth the journey up North :)

Exceptional service received by V8 Vault. I purchased a BMW M3. I have always bought cars from main dealers i.e BMW due to warranty and after sales support/peace of mind. In comparison, I can say my experience with "V8 Vault" was amazing for the following reasons: 1. Ben (Director): No pressure to buy at all. Prior to any deposit taken. I was well informed of every aspect of the car from body work, previous owners, service history and spec list. He went above and beyond to ensure I was happy with the car. 2. Test Drive: Took me for a long test drive to ensure l was satisfied with the car. He also took time out to explain how to maintain the car and showed me around the car. This was reassuring as I received expert advice. 3. Showroom: If you are a car enthusiast this is the place to visit! The cars on display are rare to see and in immaculate condition. 4. Collection day: The car had been prepared to a great standard. Not just your average wash and dry. The car had been placed in the middle of the showroom and had benefited from a detail/polish. 5. After Sales: I had a slight issue with the car. Ben did not hesitate to rectify this as soon as possible for me! Upon collection again I was surprised to see the limited edition BMW badge put on my M3! I would highly recommend!!
