Hi Zak, just a few thinks in response to your review, firstly auto protect are the number one rated warranty company on trust pilot so they are an excellent company, you give us low ratings on value and cleanliness but said in your review the van was well detailed on I doubt you could find the same van cheaper today, as for dealer knowledge we are told all the time ours is second to none, you took your van to Halfords with a power steering fault in March some 7 months and 11500 miles after purchase and they told auto protect that it was slightly worn and not failed, you then called auto protect on the 30th March and told them you wanted a second opinion and they said if they were told it had failed no problem but you never did this, we take great pride in our vehicles and I think your review is a bit harsh and stretches the facts, Dave

Sorry you had a problem, you did purchase the van in august and have covered 11500 miles in it, when you took it to Halfords in March they told the warranty company that the power steering pump was a bit worn and had not failed not unreasonable on a van done nearly 100k, you called the warranty co and said you would get a second opinion which you never did, auto protect are the number one warranty company on trust pilot and we rarely have a problem with them, your scores on our review contradict your own review as you marked us down on knowledge, cleanliness and value but commented on the presentation of the van and I doubt you find the same van for better value today, not wishing to blow my out trumpet I am told all the time how much knowledge I have about vehicles, I feel sad that people have to punish a good business because they can’t get their own way.

Dear Dave, you are simply taking the side of Autoprotect. I spoke to Halfords and they said the pump had worn out, it failed and I was arguing that point with Autoprotect but they simply insisted it is wear and tear. Never did anyone ever say it was slightly worn. I know because I was driving the van and the power steering did not work and you yourself said it is covered. I did go to another mechanic, who I paid to replace the pump and he said it should have been covered as it is pump failure. Auto protect have a high rating because they are very efficient when taking your money, I read enough reviews but when it comes to paying out, most reviews I read gave them one star but only because they couldn't give them zero stars. The Van was clean when I picked it up but after a couple of weeks, the dog smell came through and hidden scratches appeared. I stick to my opinion that your car warranty is worthless and you have taken the side of Autoprotect instead of your customer. This is simply my warning to anyone buying from you and taking your auto insurance. It's worthless in my opinion, experience and from what I've read. Even some garages won't deal with them, that's how bad they are. So it's the reviews where they pay out are the ones you need to consider.

I’m sorry to hear of your disappointment, we ask everybody we speak to if they would like to secure the vehicle with a deposit. If they don’t want to do that then the vehicle remains for sale, although we would never sell a vehicle if someone was travelling to view as other Dealers do. As you have never dealt with us, I think leaving 2 separate reviews, possibly to try to lower our ratings is a bit unnecessary. Lynn
