I purchased a car from underwood a couple of weeks ago. I just wanted to say how impressed with the service I received. I had Joseph who was amazing. He explained everything in great detail and made the purchase go as smooth as possible. So 10 out 10 for service. I will be back and will recommend this garage.
We bought a car from Glyn last week after having had our previous car for nearly ten years, Glyn was absolutely wonderful, he was patient, understanding and nothing was too much trouble, he even programmed the radio and paired my phone for me, there was no rushing of anything, we would absolutely 100% buy another car from Glyn, he made the whole experience one of fun, joy and laughter, a truly honest and genuine man, well done Glyn!
I have bought a number of vehicles from dealers over the years and this was one of the best i have used, I dont know much about cars and the salesman was so helpful and explained so much to help with my purchase and unlike some dealers his after sales follow up was exemplary. I don't know if i can mention names but if you need to purchase a car from Underwood's then i would definitely recommend glyn. Well done and thank you.

Sales person GLYN has put me off dealing with underwoods again Typical sales man all he wants is a name on paper order the car and then no after care sales Ordered a car in Feb being told now no idea what month i might ever get my car. If he was a salesman in a shop man to man i would have been shouting out for management to take over. However i have no idea if anyone in that place knows anything. Wish i had never stepped foot in there. i should have looked at another make of car or found a different dealer outside of area

I am very surprised to read this review. We ordered a mobility car from underwoods in Clacton and dealt with Glyn. He was very informative, advised us about what car would suit us and told us there would be at least a 5 month wait, possibly more. Glyn has been in constant contact with me since we placed the order, by phone and email. He informed me that our wait would be longer than expected due to a shortage of parts for new cars. We had contact from Glyn every 2 or 3 weeks regarding expected delivery of our car. I couldn't have asked for better service.

Sir, i think you will find that the correct way of making a complaint is to contact the company head office direct. This does not include airing dirty laundry in public. naming the salesman is not an acceptable way of behaving with your complaint it makes the gripe seem like a direct attack. I have found Glyn to be honest and completely approachable in my dealings with Underwood's. Please follow the correct procedure when complaining in future.

I've always found underwoods a very good place to buy cars and I have dealt with the said person on a number of occasions and been extremely happy, to name someone on a review is appalling especially in these times where cars are not expected to be made a little over 9ish months, I hope your review gets deleted as you haven't said really what the problem is. You are just moaning your car is taking along time. Ps G does not build the cars!!

I second you there I’ve had nothing but false information dripped to me. My parter simon every time he calls gets told G will call back. C. Called back once but still had any customer service skills underwoods have gone under in our view won’t be ordering from there in 3 years timed or longer depending on how long still have to wait. Your wait since Feb? God mines March so I will be hanging on even longer my friend orders fiat and has his in total 16 weeks

I ordered a 1.2 petrol 130 auto mokka Elite Premuim at the end of Oct 2021. Knowing full well that there was a shortage of car semiconductor chips and also delays on new cars . I was not in a hurry, and I was expecting the car around February 2022. Tom Gemmell was the salesman at Underwood's Clacton who assisted me with the whole process. Any questions I had Tom was able to respond to my emails. Or phone calls throughout the wait Initially I was looking at a corsa Electric but realistically I haven't got the charging infrastructure where I live. I looked at the Mokka and went out on a test drive . This is a totally new design from the old Mokka which I have previously driven The new look Mokka in my opinion is better in design and performance. Tom was able to apply for me the partnership discount which he patiently applied. He has been incredibly helpful and patient assisting with my purchase. Tom is really switched on and can talk through realistically what the needs of the customer might benefit from. I believe he wants you to be happy with the car you buy . Therefore his attention to detail is both helpful and reassuring. I have a disability although I don't qualify for the motorbility. Therefore having a car with a raised body has been helpful with ease of getting in and out. Tom has taken me through the sale with the warranty and I chose to take the gap insurance. I also had the car protection "Supergard" spray on the exterior and interior. I am also thinking about taking out the service plan. The car was valeted and I had new velvor mats and boot mat which I purchased. Tom also had made the time to discuss with me about the parking assist technology after my sale. I picked up on the car on the 31st January. Which was worth the wait. I wasnt in a great place late last year after a couple of operations and Tom just helped me without rushing to make a good informed choice . He has been driving around in a company Mokka.. So he knows what he is talking about. I felt that I could relate to him as he is a very pleasant guy with a sense of humour. But also knows a lot about the product. I previously had a Skoda from Underwood's Colchester and I had a good experience with the salesman there. So this seems to me a good company to buy a car from. Thank you Tom and the staff at Underwood's Clacton who have made this a good purchase Experience.

Want to change Ecosport for new Crossland, see Tom Gremill and had no problems from that day we ordered it. Tom could not help us enough have had a Fantastic ServiceI from him and Vauxhall would not go anywhere else now. HE IS A WONDERFUL PERSON FOR THAT COMPANY WITH A WONDERFUL PERSONALITY. WOULD RECOMMEND HIM ANYDAY. This man does that company proud.

I bought an 18month old CORSA this week - the Sales Advisor Tom Gemmell was knowledgeable and efficient, and importantly, was interested in my needs -- so -- No hard sell. The negotiation was straightforward and a good deal was done. I collected the car in less than a week from purchase and everything was in excellent order. - NICE ONE
