Salesman (Grant) was very helpful. We found a car we liked, took it for a test drive, My father was with me, cos he knows a lot more about buying cars than I do. Took the Nissan Juke out for a test drive and my dad noticed some things not right, We told Grant when we returned, he stated that the car would be given a "full check before it goes out" So we left with a smile after payment, car would be ready by Saturday. Saturday came and went. We finally got a call to pick up the car. My dad gave me a lift out to collect and it was quite exciting. Drove home quite happy. Then the faults started to show, Car was over revving Exhaust pipe loose and moving Seal on passenger door loose, so noisy Hand brake not working properly Gearbox very noisy Car pulling to the right Brakes needed bled But!!! Rear seatbelts which held my child's seat in place sprung loose and the seat went flying into the back of the driver seat!! Contacted Vehicle trade Centre Kilmarnock and they said they would come collect the car, since it was unsafe to be driven, I had to rent a vehicle while waiting for this. One week later, the car went back to the showroom and it was suggested we choose another car. Which we did. Then 'the manager' 'craig' who was very abrupt, said we would need to pay an extra £200 for the transfer of the contract. Needless to say we are now pursuing the return of our money. Disgusted by the manner of the so called 'manager' craig, whose customer skills were severely lacking. Will never go near that place again and advise folk to steer clear.

Kenny powell in response to Absolute Nightmare, STAY AWAY!
Hi there I am going through the same problem with vtc as you .how long did it take to get a suitable outcome Thanks Kenny
Secured a vehicle (Honda CRZ, 10 plate) with a deposit leaving the garage a 2 week window to prepare the car. Train journey of nearly 200 miles at a time of rail replacements buses being provided which took 6.5 hours. Took the car for a test drive and 2 plumes of smoke came from from the exhaust less half a mile away from the garage with a smell of burning oil. The test drive was longer than I would usually take (40 mins covering 7 miles) due to the smoke and smell. I stopped a couple of times and also realised that 3 brakes were overheating and one was stone cold so something was not right i.e. binding, not set up or seized callipers. During the 40 mins I spoke to the garage to explain the issues and to say I hadn’t gone AWOL. Returned the car explaining the issues again and said that it wasn’t safe to drive 200 miles home. The sales chap, David called the owner of the garage who said if I took the car he would take £50 off the price to which I said the car simply wasn’t safe to drive and I wouldn’t be taking the car. Due to the lack of preparation with the vehicle (2 weeks notice should have been more than enough) I had to purchase train tickets home but due to the time and rail replacement service I only got 3/4 of the way home and had to have an unplanned overnight stay then had to continue my journey home the next day. An absolute nightmare. Further calls and emails to Vehicle Trade Centre reveal that the mechanics worked to service seized brakes a week or so later. Return ticket was nearly £80 and an over night stay was £40. Completely unplanned expenses when I should have driven the vehicle home. I later asked David via email upon my return, if the garage was prepared to meet my travel costs or at least half of them as I would have purchased the vehicle and driven it home if it had have been safe to do so, however IT WASNT SAFE. An email was returned saying that the owner wasn’t prepared to make a payment towards my costs as he has a business to run. The CRZ is still for sale months later, it was nowhere near safe. Avoid Avoid Avoid, dodgy garage, Ill prepared even with 2 weeks notice…little wonder this car is still for sale.
Hi. I purchased a Citroen C3 Picasso from these people a month ago. The sale went OK but a couple of issues showed up during a break to the North of Scotland. A wheel bearing got very noisy indeed and curtailed some of our planned visits. The nearside front break also started grinding. I had problems on returning with a long delay going to happen and no courtesy car that was promised on sale if there was any problems. I am partly disabled and the car is important, plus I had two appointments in Ayr hospital. I had to borrow a car from a friend to get me to hospital. Today the timing chain started making a terrible noise and asked for help but they refused, The car is on its last day of the 30 day warranty. Its now in the hands of trading standards and I'm prepared to go to court.

i bought a car from here, dealt with by the very staff member who got the customer care award for June 2020. However a part was missing from the car and I was promised it would be sent but still not recieved. I was actaully told over the phone it would be in the post Friday and with me by the weekend. Still nearly 5 weeks after I have bought the car they still have not sent it. It was a condition of the sale and I have it in writing. Everytime I ring they say someone will call me back but they don't . Don't waste your time buying a car from them because once they have your money they treat you like utter crap. They don't even know what customer service means.
Bought a car for my husband today from Grant at Kilmarnock. He was very informative with info re insurance and tax. Showed husband everything in the car and was a lovely guy. Definitely recommend
Sold me a dodgy car, with engine problems instantly after only having the car for a month or two, had a melted thermostat and they sealed it back on, absolute disgrace and waste of money
Popped in just to view cars on lot. Edward was friendly and assisted with my car needs. He made the experience of buying a new car very smooth he was efficient with paperwork, dealt with fast and helpful throughout the process.
