In my experience, the sales people do not know their product. Poor communication - not following up phone calls or emails. Not sure how genuine some information eg “there’s been a huge shift in the market recently” whilst not making eye contact. Seems it was too much effort to find me a new car so easier to lose a customer. Terrible experience. Made an appointment with another dealer later that morning and bought a brand new car by 1.00 - easy. Avoid

On 15th June 2023, I placed an order for a second-hand car, Registration plate, through VW Mansfield dealership having viewed the advert on Auto Trader. Prior to finalising the purchase, I made certain to contact the showroom manager, to confirm the car's condition. The manager assured me that the vehicle had no dents, scruffs, imperfections, or ripples on its paintwork. Based on this representation, I proceeded with the purchase, paying a large cash deposit via bank transfer and financing the remaining balance. However, upon arriving to collect the car earlier today Saturday 24th June 2023, having travelled for 3 hours on the train I was utterly dismayed to discover that it was in a deplorable condition that did not align with the assurances provided by the manager. The car exhibited numerous flaws, including black permanent marker stains covering scratch marks on the front bumper, multiple dents on the bodywork and roof, and clear signs of paintwork touch-ups on the driver's side door, which resulted in an unsightly ripple across the paintwork. Understandably, I expressed my dissatisfaction with the vehicle's condition to the manager, and after some negotiation, he agreed to address the dents. There was no mention of a price reduction. It did not sit well with me that I had to take time out of my busy schedule to take a vehicle to my local Vertu dealership and have the flaws repaired in my time. This was care and due diligence which should have been provided to me and the car should have been in pristine condition, regrettably, he refused to repair the paintwork, which is a particularly significant issue for me. As this car was intended to be a gift for my wife, I cannot fathom presenting her with a vehicle that bears such noticeable imperfections, regardless of its age. The lack of transparency surrounding the vehicle's condition is deeply troubling. I explicitly requested on multiple occasions, both over the phone and during the purchase process, that any imperfections be disclosed to me. Astonishingly, none of your the staff members mentioned any of the aforementioned issues, which raises serious doubts about their competence and commitment to providing accurate information to customers. I want to emphasise that my requests for a car without any dents, scruffs, imperfections, or ripples on the paintwork were not over and beyond reasonable expectations. As a customer, it is only natural for me to expect transparency and honesty regarding the condition of the vehicle I am purchasing, especially when specific inquiries are made regarding its imperfections. I believe it is within my rights as a consumer to receive accurate information and to be treated with respect and fairness throughout this process. Furthermore, I must express my dismay at the level of service I received throughout this entire ordeal. A total of four hours I spent at the dealership insisting as to why there was a lack of transparency from two of the staff members.

I’ve have just picked up my VW Tiguan, I received excellent service from the salesman Mr Brent Wilson throughout. I cannot praise him and the sales team enough. Thank you Vertu Mansfield.

My daughters car ( VW POLO ) went in for a service and part of the service is coolant level check two days later coolant level warning light comes on.... that tells me they have not checked ...she was on the motorway near sheffield when this happens, she slows down ( no hard shoulder smart motorway ) shes was panicking trying to get off the motorway .... when we spoke to the service manager at the garage today 25.11.2021 his answer was which he repeated 3 or 4 times what do you want me to do about it ? also we should educate them ? is what he said.... they said they are so busy and short staffed so that is why corners are being cut ....this is her second vw polo from them and on a health check on first one she had a big crack in the front windscreen the health check paper work what we got when picking the car up says all glass is checked and they ticked the box to say they had ? cutting corners springs to mind...DO NOT USE THIS GARAGE FOR A SERVICE.... HAD 3 CARS FROM THEM WILL NOT HAVE NO MORE 0/10 .
Girlfriend bought a car from Mansfield, Tom was amazing, made the whole experience comfy and put her at ease as she was a little nervous. Cannot recommend him enough! Car was in great condition as well!
Tom woods was our salesman and I couldn’t be happier with the service I got from him. Made me feel comfortable when I was nervous and was an overall funny and nice guy. Highly recommend coming here to buy a car !!

The service received from Luke and Jonathan @ Mansfield was outstanding. I can only describe the whole process even in these unusual times as seamless and completely stress free. I would highly recommend to ask and speak with Jonathan whom I would not hesitate to call again if we change our car! You have completely reinstated my faith in VW. Absolutely fantastic service, from walking into the showroom to finding me a car to driving off the forecourt Johnathon was fantastic. Not pushy at all and really helped me find my perfect car. After service was great any questions Johnathon was there to advise. See you in 3 years for my new model!

Jonathan (sales) was more than helpful. I collected car in not great weather and when inspected after collection when weather was better, I found that all one side of car had been badly painted (not expecting mint as it’s a used car). Jonathan got the car straight back in and got it repainted straight away. He reassured me I could bring the car back if I had any more issues and made me feel valued. Thankyou.

I purchased a Car from here back in August, The car was clean and in good condition and I have had no issues with it but the service could have been better and there were a lot of complications. Based on that I wouldn't recommend this dealership.
