Disgusting experience. Car came with 12 months MOT. Took car to 2 independent garages who both advised car had so many faults and it was dangerously unsafe and should not have passed an MOT. No response to messages until I started formal court proceedings on the advice of trading standards. Sold car back at a loss just to get rid of it

Puchased a Kia Soul in August 2023, paid deposit and mentioned air-con not working, I wanted to pay the balance by Credit Card but this incurs a 3% handling charge so BACS it was - with some loss of redress in case of dispute!! Arranged to collect the following week, Lorenzo not there but Sue kindly collected me from the station and did the hand over. All was well for three weeks then the power steering started playing up (and the air-con wasn't working still) I returned from two weeks holidays to find NO power steering - reported to Lorenzo, car not driveable, he would neither arrange collection or send his mechanic out, after some delays he agreed to let me take it to local garage who diagnosed fault with steering ecu - Lorenzo paid the £550 for the repair and me getting on for £400 in labour, it lasted two day/40 miles, ECU repaired for free by original repairer but they said voltage fault on vehicle. Eventually intermittent fault on alternator found. I sent letter under The Consumer rights Act 2015 - Lorenzo refused to buy back car or refund my expenses and has since ignored any communications. I was stuck with £3299 car that was undriveable, I have since paid best part of £600 to local garage for new alternator and extensive diagnostics, and personally fitted a second hand steering column costing me £120 to get it back on the road (I used to be a mechanic fortunately). The air con still doesn't work! God job this wasn't my only car or I would have been unable to get to work.. Also shocked that a dealer recommended by CarGurus is so poor and gets away with it. Car seemed good price until it all the faults occurred but then been a money pit.

Excellent car and great service
Bought a Land Rover discovery from Victoria motor company a few weeks back. Was told no issues with the car but very quickly found out that: - brake disk fitted incorrectly - Brake light out - Front light out - Brake disks in need of replacement - Faulty drive shaft - Leaking injector (leaking dangerous fumes into the car) - Broken flywheel - To get these repairs completed would cost around £4,000. The car came with “3 month warranty” so spoke to the warranty company and was advised they don’t work with VMC any more and the vehicle I had did not have any warranty. Martin at VMC wanted to reverse the deal rather than admit fault and find the repairs. He insisted my deposit would be reduced by £200 for the small amount of mileage I’d added to the car in 5 days (circa 150). I did in the end receive 100% of it back. All in all, a diabolical service from a man who clearly has no idea about vehicles. He states he has been in the business over 50 years yet cannot spot a simple leaking injector (or so he says!) No doubt their response to this review will remind me of the mileage on the car. To me, regardless, they should have informed me about the dangers of driving the vehicle with fumes leaking in to the cabin.

Bought a 14 plate chevrolet cruze superb price £2999 fantastic car full mot and serviced plus they were honest enough to say they had refurbished the gearbox test drove bought he car thanks guys will tell mt family and friends where you are Danny
I have bought two cars from Victoria Motor Co in Bolton over the past two years. Sue looked after me on both occasions. She is more than helpful and puts you at ease no pressure. They do their very best to resolve any issues. I know cars can go wrong and they help as best they can to resolve issues. I wrote this review having read some others and found it hard to believe what was said as it represents no resemblance on my experience. i look forward to buying my third car from Victoria Motor Co in the future.
Victoria motors is a cheap and friendly place to purchase a car. I have found them to be very polite and there is no pressure selling, you are free to browse the vehicles at your leisure even being given the keys so you can have a good look. There car's are valeted to a high standard and they are open 7 days.

First of all I would most definitely NOT recommend this car dealer to anyone! Does not even deserve 1 star but I couldn't select 0. We had the worst experience after purchasing a Ford Kuga from this garage. First of all we saw this car advertised on Autotrader advertised at £4995. My partner messaged the dealer via Autotrader to ask what the lowest he would take for the car is, to which he replied '£4700' (this was a lie). Our budget was a little less than this but a few day later we went to view the car (2 hour journey from our house), when we got there we looked at the car etc. It looked ok from what we could see just a few scratches on the bodywork therefore, my partner went to speak to martin about the lowest he'd take taking into account the scratches thay were pretty visible but somehow not on the pictures on the ad. He said the absolute lowest he'd take would be £4800 (more than he said before). He wasnt going to budge, my partner asked to take a look at the service book and other paperwork to then go on to discover this car was in need of a cambelt and water pump straight away. The guy claimed he didnt know about it needing a cambelt despite the fact the car had been sat on his forecourt for 5 months, I don't believe this wouldn't have been brought to his attention within this time by someone else hence the reason the car hadn't sold in that space of time. He wasn't willing to pay to get this done so we was but if he knocked some more of the price. We got a quote of £200 to get this done so we asked if he would take £4600 to cover the cost of this work being done with him already agreeing to take £4800 (that is generally how it works anyway isnt it? Advertise a car a little higher than what you'd take because buyers always want to get you down), also bearing in mind the scratches and other minor mechanical problems we noticed that we'd have been willing to sort. The dealer said that he would take £4700 (bearing in mind this is what he said he'd take via autotrader before we even saw any issues with the car), he said he wasn't doing any less even though we said somewhere in the middle at £4650. We left the garage and just gave that one up to continue the search for another car. When we got home, after our 2 hour drive back to which he knew! We got a phonecall from him saying I'll take 4650 to which we laughed and said we offered this when we was there and you didnt accept for us to come back and get the car we'd only do 4600 as we've got the journey back to get the car. After a long pause he then accepted this (probably realised hes not going to get a better offer when the car is in need of cambelt and waterpump). So... my partner then went back to pick the car up the following evening. Arrived back home, the next morning in the daylight we noticed a huge crack in the panoramic roof which we could only see in daylight so we were unable to see it when collecting the car. This was a £1600 repair so instantly takes a great value off the car, insurance also wouldnt cover it. So we contacted the dealer about this, we really wanted to find a solution to this as we really loved the car aside from this. It went backwards and forwards for ages, the dealer said cant you just put a tint over it, you won't see it then. We was quite shocked to hear this as it completely affects the structure of the car and i have 2 young children, it simply wasn't safe!! It went on a week going backwards and forwards with him, in the end the crack was clearly getting worse because we started to hear it creaking when the car was moving. In the end the dealer said to just bring it back and in his words he said very shockingly to us "bring the car back because what I'd do is get the cambelt done and just get a tint over the roof to disguise the crack and stick it back up for sale for £5500" this was the most shocking bit the fact he was willing to falsely advertise a car knowing it has a very large crack in the roof which affects the structure and safety of the car and put the car up for sale £500 more than it was up for orginally. The aa also got involved as he was an aa approved dealer but that is no more after this! We were very frustrated because we spent a lot of money in petrol to the garage and back after being messed around and for taking the car back, we spent a lot of money in insurance changeover etc. All of which were classed as a consequential loss for us. Martin agreed to pay us an extra £100 plus the full amount of what we paid for the car, that £100 wouldnt have covered our losses however, we were so fed up and just wanted to forget about it so we accepted. My partner took the car back once he got there he refused to pay the £100 HE offered. We did go on to speakto trading standards who advised we were entitled to full consequential losses but the guy was still being a pain and it probably would have ended up going to court which we couldnt really be doing with the hassle of. Anyway we saw he had relisted the car and it was up for sale as he said at £5500 whether he actually tinted the window i dont know and the ad didnt advertise that it had a brand new cambelt either which if it had it would be a good selling point. AVOID!!!
The absolute worst experience I have ever had dealing with a used car dealership. Let me start by saying my mum has just been involved in an accident and very shook up by the experience. Keen to get another car we spotted a smart car on auto trader. She said it looked good. So we drove a 55 minute drive from Liverpool to see it. We were met at the customer service desk by an old man with glasses. I explained I would like to see the car and get mum out in a drive, as she is elderly and suffers from severe arthritis a test drive is paramount to see if she can manage it. He practically threw the keys at us, didn't offer to follow us out to show us how the car worked. We went out it took me a few minutes to find the ignition, and we could not figure out how to open the boot. I spoke to him earlier before we came and asked about the possibility of delivery. He said it would be fine and would cost £25. He then said when looking at the car in a rather rude tone that the delivery would be £50. I then said to him that I would be looking at getting the car cheaper than list price. I'd done some individual price comparisons with some reputable websites and the car value was coming out at £1650 to £1800, based on the miles quoted and year of the car. Also nobody in there right mind pays full list price for a used car. I have bought enough used cars over the years to know there's always room for discount. then got seriously Moody, he said he would not be knocking anything off the car, he said he had just lowered it. I explained that if he could run us out, if we like it we would buy it, but it maybe in a few weeks. He said and I quote 'I'm not wasting my time taking you out for a test drive, come back in a few weeks when you are ready to buy', I was flabbergasted, my mum was horrified. I explained that we have driven almost an hour my mum would need to test drive the car to see if she's able to drive it. He flat out refused. Things got a little heated then and abuse was thrown from both sides. Can I just say if we had have been out for a test drive and liked the car we would have bought It, obviously not at the full price but we would have stretched to £1950. Let this be a lesson on how NOT TO TREAT a customer.
