We bought a Focus Estate from Victoria Park Garage in St Helens but wouldn't go near them again. We paid almost £500 extra to get a tow bar "professionally" fitted by them as we mentioned the car was going to be used for towing and they said they had someone who did this for them. Not long after getting the car we noticed that the rear number plate light wasn't working and there was no power at all coming from the tow bar plug. I phoned up the garage to see if they could look at it and they said they would but we would have to drop it off on a weekday morning and pick it up the same evening as they had no where to store it on there premises so would leave it on the road. They said it would probably just be a fuse somewhere but looking on the Internet the rear number plate light is a complete led unit combined with the boot opener button and a few hours of a job to sort. Not wanting to take a day of work only to have to take it back when they realise they will have to order parts I asked a mechanic to take a look at it. The towbar we paid almost £500 for wasn't even wired up hence why we had no power to the socket so we had effectively paid almost £500 for someone to bolt a towbar to the car after we had paid for the electrics to be wired up too and even written on the receipt. The rear number plate module was the reason the light wasn't working and quite expensive to fix which is probaly why they had left it when they sold it. I phoned Victoria Park and left two polite messages with someone who "didnt deal with servicing" but never got a call or email back despite giving my mobile and email address. On top of this we never received the v5 as DVLA are saying they never received it so we can only assume they never sent it off so will have to pay the DVLA for that now. All in all I suggest anyone thinking of buying from here should stear well clear. Lovely people when you go and buy from them but don't be expecting any sort of after sales service and any work they do before you pay needs checking before you take the car.

I Bought the wife a newer car this week and the process was polite, patient, efficient and without any pressure. Car seems ok so far and was fully tested when collected. i will certainly be looking here first for mine next year. Victoria Park Garage were a nice professional team without the Arthur Daley approach we found at the steelers. Cheers

Bought a 2007 passat tdi from the garage with 94k miles and a full service history. From day one car experienced problems, big oil leak, fuel leak, split rear coil and cc boot joint both passed by their MOT tester when the car should of failed. Returned car under Consumer Rights Act as only 30 days old and retrieved my PX back from the garage. Be wary take a mechanic with you to check their cars before handing over any cash.

Purchased a Kia Sorento. At first all appeared to be great, however within a few weeks the automatic transmission started playing up, and there's a leak, also seatbelts DON'T work correcttly. Having spoken to Nigel, i was advised to take it back, i explained about the gearbox issues and not safe to drive all that way on the busy M6. Nigel refuses to resolve the problem despite the car still being under warranty. Steer clear of this dealership, or you may have to go down the path of Trading Standards, thats just what ive had to do. £6000 down the drain and counting. DON'T waste your money

Would never use again. As soon as the car is signed for there helpful then there not interested. Car has been in an out since getting it refusing to take it back now mechanic hasn't a clue
