I go into Vines of Gatwick BMW for an oil top up. Job complete 3 hours later... as opposed to 3 minutes. Idiots.
I was staggered at the poor maintenance from Vines of Gatwick BMW which was very expensive with a service taking nearly 2 weeks to be completed & the work was not all done. The engine oil level was at the minimum on the dip stick too! 2 days after the service I broke down on the M25.

I’ve had the same issue complete incompetence and dishonesty, they claim no responsibility. Told me My engine was below minimum oil I replied with I took a picture of the oil outside your garage before handing you the keys and it was halfway. How has it lost? A quarter of oil with a few hours? Please explain? then the excuses came, Bottom line they had an incompetent Engineer, who didn’t even know how to check oil correctly..
Vines of Gatwick are utterly dishonest. James Sells me a 1 owner car & purposefully never shows me the logbook. Then i find out car has had 4 previous owners. Jamie admits mistake in writing but offers nothing to make it right. His manager Ivan Bell who is despite senior staff only aggravated the situation more by telling me the number of owners is ' not important part of the agreement'.Avoid at all costs!
I cannot rate Vines of Gatwick BMW poorly enough. Check you have a warranty. Check that the service history isn't pure fabrication. And for your own sanity, never,ever expect any warranty work to be carried out without enormous amounts of time, energy and another BMW franchise as support. They are horrible, rip off, buck passing cowboys. I've lost a month of my life trying to deal with a fault on my BMW sold by them which is their responsibility. The management team are so unprofessional it makes me wonder how they are employed at all!
After sale service is so poor. After buying a new car every time we visit this place there were issues. Last visit the principal dealer said to me as I have put a bad review on there survey. I can't come back to vines Gatwick BMW. Freedom of truth. So angry and frustrated with this as after paying hard earned money nearly £28k. So don't get caught to there lies.
Took my car into Vines Of Gatwick BMW for an oil change and find the cause of a rattle. I gave permission for them to carry out a major service if they had time. Dropped my car off at 8:30 am and got it back at 7pm! The technician couldn't hear the rattle although VERY obvious, and the car had a major service to the cost f £501, even though a value service of exactly the same was showing £449 online! They also washed my car which I said I did not want. I was never asked if I wanted the car washed and now I have fine scratches all over my car! Also, my service book did not correspond with my receipt! So I am over £500 lighter with a scratched car and a service book that is stamped as 'mini service' i was told by Richard Burgan that the technician couldn't road test my car to hear the noise as my osr coil spring had snapped. This was his excuse for not looking into the rattle on the car. However, he went on to say that the technician took my car for a test drive after he finished servicing it.....when I questioned it, he said the test drive was in the car park!!!! I don't know how this place can get away with it. I am seeking advice with regards to the scratches along with the fact that I did NOT give them permission to wash my car, nor did they ask me if I wanted it washed. Stick to the smaller garages, you will get a better service as they will need your custom therefore more likely to look after you.

Very helpful, knowledgeable sales staff, but shortly after buying a Mini from Vines Gatwick, we had a problem with the clutch. We were in Guildford so we took it to Vines Guildford who road tested it and said it needed a new clutch. They booked it for us into Gatwick for a warranty repair, but When Gatwick got it they disagreed and said there was nothing wrong with it other than "wear and tear" and we would have to pay £1500 to get a new clutch fitted if we wanted one. In the end we took it to a local non-Mini garage to get it fixed for a fraction of that price. Mini Gatwick are best avoided in our opinion.
