I have bought two cars in the last three years from Vital Cars. My first a little Citroen C1 as a runaround. It served me well and took me on journeys all around the UK and even to Ireland. I then moved on to a lovely Peugeot 3008 as I now have a baby and Angie was really helpful in aiding my decision between this and another car on site. She showed me all I needed to know about each one and upon test driving both I decided on the 3008. A few weeks after I had a problem with the car. I let them know straight away and they said they would take a look for me. My car needed to stay there for three days but the problem was rectified at no charge to me. Since then the car has been a dream and I absolutely love it!
Angie at Vital Cars was great at selling the car yet their warranty is worthless. 1 weeks after we purchased the car the interior started to fall apart and after its first wash the great looking paint work revealed hundreds of scratches and the top layer of paint started peeling. I phoned up to complain and was laughed at and was told this is not covered as it's cosmetic. Strange how it looked immaculate when we viewed it but after 1 wash all sorts of imperfections showed, after we professional advise we are told it looks like a sort of lacquer was applied to tart it up. The car is now patchy where this is missing and peeling and parts of the interior which had been stuck in with double sided tape keep falling off. Recently the car started making a beeping noise when started. I rang in again to again be confronted with Angie's rude and deeming attitude. I was told to take it to a local dealership, express my womenly charm and try and get it diagnosed for free. She made out that I was being stupid and had left a door or lights on when it's a genuine warning chime. Unhelpful and very bad attitude, warranty not worth anything and awful after care. Steer clear!

Director from Vital Cars in response to Steer clear
If you have read the above review I ask that you take the time to read this response. The reviewer above purchased a near 10 year old Ford Fiesta in Metallic Black in November of 2017. Which at the time we provided 1 year's new MOT, 1 year's warranty and a full service including cambelt and water pump change. All included within the price of £2,800. Their first contact with us was in May 2018 (6 months after purchase) reporting that the vehicle is now showing many fine white scratches and that the interior trim was deteriorating. In a polite and professional manner the customer was informed that the exterior and interior trim is the responsibility of the owner and not a matter of warranty. The second contact with us was a couple of weeks later (phone call taken in my presence) reporting of an unusual beeping noise. After trying to give suggestions to the best of our ability over the phone we requested for the vehicle to be brought back to us. This was not convenient for the customer so it was suggested to pop in to a local garage to ask them to listen and was said in a friendly, jovial manner and to report back to us their findings so that we can be of more assistance. We are at a loss as to what we haven't done or failed to repair under our warranty, which is a very comprehensive cover for electrical and mechanical components that have failed. Given to all of our customers for 1 year from the date of purchase.

Today the car was condemned upon it's early entry for an MOT and service given the host of faults that had started to display themselves. Since the purchase we spent £300 to fix the earlier reported beeping noise which took a lot of troubleshooting to rectify, £370 for a new air con unit and re gas, £170 on a new exhaust and £240 on a new alternator. Would you have covered these under your warranty? We now face a further bill for more works all within a year of purchase. No one could expect that a car wouldn't suffer any problems especially given it being 10 years old but for just shy of 3k and over 1k later we should have brought a new one on a monthly plan as it would have been less hassle!

We are deeply saddened by the claims made in your recent review, as you are fully aware your vehicle did in fact pass its MOT on the 19th of October 2018 at a mileage of 90,293 miles without failure or advisory. We ask anyone reading this reply to visit https://www.gov.uk/check-mot-history with registration number GF08EWP which will clearly show this vehicle has in fact been passed by an MOT station without any issues in accordance with MOT testing standards. Unfortunately this leads us to question the validity of any other claims made by this reviewer as we have had no contact since their first review back in May of 2018. Had we been contacted in regards to any of the stated faults above, we would have been happy to assist wherever possible. We have not seen you or the vehicle since November 2017, despite offering our assistance with your original issue.
When I was looking to buy a new car I found the service exceptional. However I have had the car only since November and recently broke down. When calling vital cars to let the know what had happened they were quick to blame me and even though the car was under warranty they told me it was probably a flat battery and they would not covet that. Of course it was not that and I had to pay out a lot of Money to get my car fixed which vital cars should of done for me. I am now trying to sell the car I currently own and purchasing elsewhere.

Staff from Vital Cars in response to Unhelpful
Dear Lauren, we are sorry to hear that you are unhappy with the service we have provided. As you aware we received a telephone call from you on the 30th of April 2018, which was our first contact with you since you purchased the vehicle in November. During that conversation you informed us that the car was not starting and we suggested it may be a flat battery, as the vehicle had been standing whilst you had been away on holiday. However we tried to make arrangements around your working week for us to inspect the vehicle to make sure that it was not another issue and a booking was made for Saturday 5th of May 2018. As you did not turn up or contact us further until this review, we have had to assume that your issue had been resolved. We would like to reassure you that our intentions are always to assist and resolve any issues our customers may have as quickly and conveniently as possible. If you still have an issue please contact as soon as possible on 01732 355388
Angie, who assisted me during the choosing and buying car was very helpful and accommodating. She was very approachable and was able to give answer to almost all query. The dealership was of good size but has a handful of options to choose. I would highly recommend this place to people who are looking around to buy a car.

Initially all was good at Vital Cars. The people I dealt with were helpful and knowledgeable. The car wasn't best described as when I went home and has it cleaned a lot of scratches appeared, so I advise to future customers to just check the car over thoroughly,. Other than that though it was good and I would recommend!

We have had the same thing, after washing the car loads of scratches appeared but speak Angie and she an asset for everything. Not their problem etc etc
I cannot praise this place and Angie enough. So helpful but not pushy at all. I bought a lovely 2nd hand Peugeot and am delighted with it. All the cars were of such good quality I had a job making up my mind. Would highly recommend this dealership to everyone.
