Didn’t have the opportunity to survey a car before pick up, spoke to them over the phone and was assured everything was ok. Finance went through the day before picking up car. As I started the car engine light was on. Took car back to them 3 times in 2 months and the car still had the issue. Took the car to BMW only to be told it needs a new ENGINE!!!! Turns out that they were trying to play me until my 3month warranty ran out. Anyway I took the car and left it there and luckily it was finance. So I told the finance company. They then had the car for 2 months trying to fix it, leaving me with no vehicle and I was still paying insurance and the finance. They got back saying yes it needs a new engine, do I want to wait for them to get a replacement engine (with no time scale) or a refund. Refund pls. Bare in mind I paid £1k deposit and another £1k for the monthly finance. This money I never got back, a loss of £2k. Don’t deal with them lol. Though it was 2014. I just stumbles upon their website again and got these memories.

I recently bought a 15 year old MGTF from Kevin at Vixen Prestige and despite a mechanical issue with the car I want to put on a very positive review of the way the issue was sorted at no cost to me. The car developed a minor fault that caused a major engine failure after I had had the car only two weeks. However I am happy that it was an issue that would not have been seen before my purchase. Kevin had the car recovered and the engine rebuilt at no cost to me. I think there is always a danger buying an old car, but I believe you could buy with confidence from Vixen and would happily do so again in the future.

I would highly recommend Vixen Prestige, I bought my Mini and couldn't be happier. Wonderful service, extremely pleasant buying experience. Thank you Kevin for your great help and advice, I am looking forward to driving my Mini.

Kev is a great guy, sells quality cars at very competitive prices. The Range Rover in the last review was mine, it had a few minor scuffs on the bumpers and Kev offered to repair them for me free of charge. I was extremely happy with his repairs, it was as good as new! Great car. Highly recommended Vixen Prestige if you want a down to earth honest car dealer.

I purchased a Volvo v50 from this seller recently and within two weeks the car had major problems, within the first week there was an intermittent starting problem where there was an air leak getting into the fuel line which cost me £100 to get sorted, then the key fob failed to open the car within the same week,another £50. Then the battery died on the car which again was another £150 from the RAC as they said the battery was not fit to start a scooter never mind a Volvo. I then had the cambelt changed, no problem with that as I know second hand cars need them done, but then my mechanic said the alternator was so hot when he took it off he was surprised it had not caught fire, another £140. Then last week I was driving and the brakes failed on the car totally, pedal went to the floor and no brakes, very scary experience, It is now in my local garage awaiting another part to be fitted. I would be very wary of buying from this seller as he claimed the car had service history up to a certain date but when i travelled down from Birmingham I got there to be told he had misread the service booklet. He had also started the car when I arrived which always rings alarm bells for me. This is the worst purchase I've ever had of second hand cars and all though he knocked £100 off the selling price I am already nearly £500 down and the car is still not on the road. If the seller would like to respond to this review I would welcome to hear what he has to say.

Kevin the owner gave my son and l a excellent service, my son brought a Jaguar S Type R from him. The 80 mile journey home the car performed excellent and the car was £2000 under market value. Also the car is in mint condition and low mileage for its year, l work in the motor tradefor a car dealer myself so l know a good trader when l see one. Well done vixen prestige cars. Doyland family.
