WARNING. Do not buy a car from this dealer. This dealership also goes under the name of ‘royal car palace’ and no doubt other names in the past. They have various mobile numbers to try and contact them on. They will not listen to any complaints and they won’t refund any money and just ignore the Consumer Rights Act. Their cars look okay, but on a diagnostic inspection from a reputable garage they are found to have multiple faults and have had previous repairs done to a very poor sub-standard. If you try and speak to them, they say that the dealership has changed owners and has nothing to do with them – this is a scam. Be warned, if it looks too good to be true – then it is. Don’t buy anything from these con merchants unless you don’t mind being out of pocket. Don’t be fooled by the name change. It is the same people who work there, the same location, same cars, the same everything. I also contacted the CAB who basically told me that since it was now under a different name, there was very little I could do. If there are any like minded victims then I am more than willing for us to pool our knowledge and try and see if we can get some recompense.

Bought a CRV from VK Motor State which was Cat D damage repaired and seemed to be a good buy. Within a short time the engine management light for the airbags came on so tried to contact them by phone but no response so eventually took it to the garage where I was told it just needed recalibration but their guy had difficulty in getting the light to go off. He asked me to come in later when their 'specialist ' was in, which I did and the warning light was duly switched off. However recently I had to have the car inspected and they found that the airbags had been cut off from the system and a resistor put in place to make it look as though the airbags were functional when in fact they were not. I had been driving without them! On contacting the garage and writing to them I got nill response so contacted the credit card company as I had paid my deposit using it and got them to pay for the repairs. Really dodgy garage- stay well away or you could get seriously hurt in an accident or even worse.

Thank Goodness none of you have been hurt or injured .

Hi just came across this blog ,I personally visited this car dealer last year ,looking at an Audi A3 reasonable priced ,now I'm glad I did not buy after reading these reviews -- currently on eBay as carchoice ,and previous names I can say nex motors / vk motors/ rcp/ and only God knows what else ,,same owners just change the names of the company - I always fought this was a dodgy dealer as I looked at many cars when I was there did not look right at all ,low mileige cars my Arse looking at the drivers seat any fool can tell a worn drivers seat means a lot of miles on car,not 14000 as stated ,I have had cat d repaired cars before and so have my family. good luck guys hope you get justice

Sold me a car that should not have passed its mot.. Checked by 2 independent garages and work was shoddy and actually dangerous! Put me and my child in danger. Keep clear at all costs. Police and court involved.

Royal car palace is not good. Just got a Ford Focus delivered to me, most of the parts in the car don't even match the correct parting. Paying was no problem now calling not picking my calls. Block my number even insulting me over my own money. Taking this matter forward to Halifax police. Don't buy from them.

a jewe in response to Isha

Hi How did you get the police involved? I was told by Halifax and my local Police that selling a non roadworthy car is a civil law case. I am legally pursuing the person who received the money I paid that went into two separate accounts. We should get together. How can we contact each other. All the people who were no told the truth and were sold non road worthy cars should get together - the more voices the greater the case.

Hi, i bought an audi a4 off this dealer. Not to repeat everything thats been said they are a complete con. The car had so many faults that werent mentioned and needs a lot of work to be rectified. A few calls were answered after the sale promising to fix the issues however few weeks on and nothing is done. Best of luck to all of you and for anyone even considering going to these people should forget about it. You'll have a lot of unexpected costs.

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY I bought a Golf 2011 from this company, a few days later it broke down, gearbox DSG needs to be replaced; on top of many other things (water leak, alternator) I called, as you would to get a full refund, everytin They hear it is me on the phone he closes the phone. I have contacted trading standards and they are completely useless, I feel like there is actually nothing I can do about it?

Rob in response to Ozz

Hi, I am in the same situation. Would you be interested in talking to me about this?

On the 25th March 2016 I went to view a 2015 15 REG MAZDA 3 2.0 SKYACTIVE-G SPORT 5DR (NAV) DAMAGED SALVAGE REPAIRED at Royal Car Palace in Halifax. On viewing the advert and numerous text messages and calls with the dealership I was sure everything was okay with the car. I travelled over 400 miles to get to Halifax and arrived on Friday evening. I viewed the car and other than the odd scratch everything seemed okay. I was aware the car was a CAT D repaired therefore did not expect it to be in a brand new condition for a 15 plate car. Anyway I drove the car and noticed a couple of warning lights on the car - so I asked the gentleman who was working for RCP and who accompanied me on the drive, he assured me the engine management light was on due to the car not being driven for a few months. Really I thought? I'm not a mechanic but I have been driving CAT D damaged repaired cards for over a decade now so I like to think I know a thing or two. I didn't question this further and then asked why the TPMS light was on and he advised it was down to the tyre pressure being low. I drove the car for no more than two miles and was happy with the way the car drove, therefore I agreed to drive back to the dealership. I further inspected the car to find the front light wasn't working but I was going to lose any sleep over a bulb. I then checked the front and back sensors to find neither were working, I questioned this with the dealer and he got frustrated and said its a CAT D car its not suppose to be perfect. Fair point I thought? I then looked into the warning log of the car further to find the air bags had been deployed, the engine management light was on and the TPMS light was also on - all asking me to contact the dealership to resolve immediately. Again when I questioned this further, the man appeared with a machine and switched off the engine management light. Okay I thought but something was still niggling at me so I made my excuses and confirmed I would be back the following morning to purchase the car. Being a lady and loving my cars, I was always out to pick up a bargain but something didn't feel right about this dealership. I suppose the first time I saw warning lights were when I asked the gentleman what's the lowest price he'd accept on the car and without a thought, he dropped the price by £1000 without me even negotiating. So after booking myself into the local Travelodge I decided to see if I could find some reviews on the dealership and to my amazement I came across this website. I had many hours of tossing and turning, convincing myself it was a good buy and that I should just take the risk. I then decided to see if I could convince an independent vehicle inspection mechanic to inspect the car before I purchased it. The mechanic met me at the dealership and took no more than ten minutes to convince me the car was a death trap. He opened the bonnet and showed me the water and air-condition wiring had not been correctly fitted and were just left hanging within the bonnet. He then pointed out various wires that had been taped in.. The ECU and various modules within the car were missing. After he connected the car to its diagnostics machine - it came up with over 20 faults and his advice was, should I buy the car it would breakdown within a couple of weeks and I would have to spend thousands trying to repair to a drivable standard. He stated he believed they had done a cowboys job to make the car look driveable and they had tampered with the electronics and wiring of the car. Furthermore the clips on the front bonnet were broken and they had been nailed in to make the bonnet stick to the car - the mechanic advised if I drove too fast over a bump, no doubt some if not all of the bonnet would come away. I think I'd heard too much and decided to pay the mechanic £60.00 and hand back the keys to the dealership. The guys I dealt with at Royal Car Palace was Harry, Adil and Ali. I hope this review will assist other people in buying a car from RCP and if you really value your life - I would suggest getting an independent mechanic to check the car before handing over any cash and I certainly wouldn't recommend giving a deposit to these guys. Please note, this car is now advised on eBay (username for these cowboys is nextmotor) and on autotrader under the name RCP (Royal Car Palace)

The statement from Royal Car Palace on 31st December below is complete and utter lies. I bought my car from RCP via Autotrader website on 12th Dec 15, it was delivered at 0030 on a friday night, lo and behold, the carbon copy headed receipt i was given is in the name of VK Motor State. I also bought from a "ghost" called Sam, funny how every time you phoned up prior to paying, you got a happy chap called Sam, but they never sounded the same person! My payment also went to an S.Pirzada(Sam?) My car is unroadworthy and illegal to drive on the roads due to them having removed the airbags and tampered with the wiring in an attempt to fool the onboard computer. If Royal Car Palace is nothing to do with VK Motor State, which i'm not stupid enough to believe by the way, why do they also not answer any phone calls or letters after theyve sold a wrong 'un? Dont be fooled people, Royal Car Palace and VK Motor State are different cheeks of the same 4rse! I hope you read this Pirzada, see you in court. AVOID AT ALL COSTS
