I too bought a car from Sam aka S Pirzada - he has done the same to me, in that the car arrived in poor condition, without a spare wheel, they promised to send on but when nothing arrived I phoned and phoned. it turned out the car had been in some sort of accident, although they gave a HPI certificate. It could have been a death trap. I have pursued through the small claims court paid to send in the bailiffs, so have spend some £100 more now and got nothing from these dishonest people. I have also spent a further £500 on the car already to get it sorted and its not over yet. It sounds like this guy has just closed down VK and started up in a new name. Never buy a car from this company or people. Happy to carry on and help others if we can all get them closed down and get our money back.

Hi, have you made any progress? I am in the same situation as you.
Gary in response to Suffolk Lady
Totally ripped off of over £12000 for 2 cars, nothing but trouble since leaving their yard, no calls or letters answered. Car has already had major work to make safe, now at its 1st mot I'm facing a bill of £1000s due to airbag fault, well no airbags in car, wiring a mess, wrong parts installed ! If anyone knows how to take these to court please let me know, my email gary_68@hotmail.co.uk thanks
Be careful when buying a used car from these dealers. I sold them a nine year old car and they advertised it a few days later stating that it had a full service history. It never had any such thing, it only had the service book stamped for the first two years. After that it was serviced by friends none of whom possessed any garage stamps. I wonder if this dealer has got some of his friends in the trade to back-stamp the service book and then pass it off as a full history? Just a thought.
i have had the same issue lately, so i paid them a visit. I realized that the company had been sold to some new owners called ROYAL CAR PALACE who did not have anything to do with it. The owners of vk motor state have been moved to Birmingham, I did get my solicitor involved who confirmed that the business has recently been sold to new owners. until we dont find the previous owners details we cant do much..

I telephoned this week, i asked for Sam (he sold me my car) he said it was him speaking. As soon as he realised who I was and my complaint he put the phone down. I have called again and now they don't answer. My guess is it is purely a name change to wrangle out of compensation. I have been to Citizens Advice today they suggest us all talking together as there is power in numbers to resolve this. I DO NOT WANT OTHERS TO BE CAUGHT OUT WITH THIS COMPANY
Mark in response to Simon Mitchell
Hi guys, if be very interested to know what everyone is doing as I've also had the same problems with a car from these people!
Gill Wootton in response to Simon Mitchell
I am going to go through the small claims court. I have given them every opportunity to resolve the situation. I have spoken a number of times to AutoTrader who are conducting there own investigation into this dealership. I have given them the links to this and another forum showing a similar complaint, they could choose to stop taking advertisements from them which would lessen their opportunities to sell cars to people, hence saving a lot of people a lot of heartache & stress. I am continuing to pursue

Dont be fooled my friend, these jokers are exactly the same people, just because a pig was born in a stable, doesnt make it a horse
Does any one know the name and contact details of the (previous) owner of VK state garage - ie the person / people RCP bought from. I need to find him. He owes me a full refund, under The Sale of Goods Act for a car, recently inspected by AA and described by the organisation as un-road worthy. Any info gratefully received from others who also were mis sold vehicles. Thanks

Hi. I have had the very same issues that you have had. I have noticed that, now VK MOTOR STATE no longer is anywhere to be seen. I am quite sure Sam, as he calls himself is involved somewhere. If you look on ebay.co.uk a seller calling themselves Next Motor is selling at least one of the cars that ROYAL CAR PALACE is. I looked at an A class A180. It is exactly the same car, photos everything. I would be very pleased with anything you find out too. As I am seeing a solicitor and any help would be much appreciated.
Bought the audi a6 that was listed on autotrader off royal car palace, was given great discount off the screen price and very good customer service. reliable service, many thanks. Meni

Lol, you must be one of them!
Please do not buy from VK Motor State. We pointed out problems with the wheels on the car. He told us that would be done and they would be like new. When the car was delivered (in the dark I may add), I could see they had just been botched. I did not realise my wife was already paying VK Motor State. It was all to late. Sat nav did not work. He told us that would be done. Would not answer calls. So I did a surprise visit. All l got was a man in the yard saying he would ring him. Amazingly he rings this guy, then starts talking in another language on the phone (presumably so I can't understand what they are saying to each other). Then says that he is at the airport waiting to go on holiday. What a farce. Then we got a puncture. They had tightened the wheels so tight that it broke the locking wheel nut on one wheel. And after a bill for £198 from mercedes. I see after trying to contact them they have changed namee to ROYAL PALACE CARS. I WILL NOW BE DOING WHAT OTHER REVIEWERS ARE DOING. FIRST TRADING STANDARDS. THEN COURTS.
ALEX MILLER from VK Motor State in response to VK MOTOR STATE PROBLEMS
It has come to our attention that people are submitting reviews on this website with having a misunderstanding with our company and the previous company that use to be here before. We are Royal Car Palace located in Halifax West Yorkshire, and have bought the business from previous motor traders called 'VK MOTOR STATE'. It has become apparent that people have had a bad experience with the previous traders that use to be here before us (VK MOTOR STATE). There are so many similar motor traders in Halifax which all sell cars, and people are mistakenly given reviews to dealers who they assume they have dealt with. However such false reviews damage the company reputation and do not do its justice. There are 2 reviews on this website which people have mentioned our name (ROYAL CAR PALACE) in connection with (VK MOTOR STATE). people have a clear misunderstanding with us and VK motor state where people assume that we have changed the name, however we have no links with VK motor state what so ever. The owner of VK motor state have sold their business to us and we no longer have connection with them. The only reason why people have mistaken us for VK motor state is because we are motor dealers/traders too just like the previous company. We can confirm that we have no connection with the previous motor traders (VK MOTOR STATE) at all. We have bought this business recently, and we always aim to provide excellent customer service and satisfaction. All vehicles we sell are sold after it has passed its engineer safety report in which we call out an engineer prior to the sale of the vehicle who checks the vehicle thoroughly. We hope this helps Many Thanks
I have had the same issues as the other reviewers, I couldn't find reviews before we bought the car - lots since. The car we bought was completely unsafe with missing airbags etc... And modifications. I agree Sam is quick to answer the phone for a sale but uncontactable since. I am currently trying to go through the small claims court and have complained to Auto trader

Have you got anywhere with your problems? I have taken the company to court.

Has anyone had success taking them to court? I am in the same situation?! Please help
WARNING. Do not buy a car from this dealer. This dealership also goes under the name of ‘Royal Car Palace’ and no doubt other names in the past. They have various mobile numbers to try and contact them on. They will not listen to any complaints and they won’t refund any money and just ignore the Consumer Rights Act. Their cars look okay, but on a diagnostic inspection from a reputable garage they are found to have multiple faults and have had previous repairs done to a very poor sub-standard. If you try and speak to them, they say that the dealership has changed owners and has nothing to do with them – this is surely a scam. Be warned, if it looks too good to be true – then it is. Don’t buy anything from VL Motor State unless you don’t mind being out of pocket.

I was interested in a Cat D Golf Bluemotion Motor Village Halifax had for sale I'm down south and they are up north. The car was for sale at £6990 which I thought was quite a good price so on the Sunday I paid a deposit of £250 in lieu of an independent inspection arranged for the Monday. 'Sam' the dealer had told me the car was in great shape so I didn't expect there to be any issues with the car. The inspection report came back with the following:- 1) Timing belt needs changing. 2) Water pump needs changing. 3) Gearbox vibration. 4) Engine noise vibration. 5) Trim poor. 6) Fluctuations in revs. 7) Bumpers not aligned. 8) Only 1 service at 14,000 miles the car was now at 65,000 and advertised as having a service history. Due to the above I decided against buying the car on the Tuesday, 'Sam' refused to return by deposit even though the car was not as described, which is against the Consumer Contract Regulations 2013 and Distance Selling rules where you must be given a 14 day cooling off period. 'Sam' was very good answering his phone when he thought there was a sale on, but wouldn't answer my calls when I pulled out of the sale because the goods where not as described. His last words to me when telling me all deposits are non refundable and putting the phone down on me were "see you in court" be vary wary of Motor Village Halifax cars and sales and after sales practices.
