Left a £500 deposit for a car then found out it had an outstanding safety recall. Zain wasn’t interested, - just kept my £500. Trading Standards are on to them, as are my legal team. Do not buy from these cowboys.

Edited after ownership of the car for 2 months.. Please save yourself some money and go elsewhere. I would NOT recommend this company to anyone. Which is a shame as it all looked positive at first. My first warning should have been the lady that came into the office to pick her car up after a few weeks of owning it and she had issues with her car too. I bought the car on 20th April 2024, I first experience a problem with the car on 2nd May 2024, I noticed it was leaking oil. This got increasingly worse. I spoke to Jono at Vouge Motor Company and he asked me to go through the warranty (dispite owning this less than a month). The warranty company sent me a link to garages in my area however no one would fit it in for 3-4 weeks and as the oil that was leaking from the car became increasingly worse, I couldn’t wait that long. A lot of garages, due to the car it is (Mercedes A45) wouldn’t touch it. I ended up getting my local garage to have a look at the car, upon inspection, they told me I am not to drive the vehicle, Vouge Motor Company then had the vehicle recovered and taken to their garage. I have attached pictures of what my garage found (flooded turbo) they think this was down to the wrong oil being put in the vehicle, Vouge Motor Group and the garage they use, advise it wasn’t anything to do with the oil, it was something to do with the crankshaft? Anyway, they said it would take a week for the vehicle to be fixed and returned to me. It was much longer than a week, it was recovered by them on 9th May 2024 and returned to me on 24th May 2024. Due to not having a vehicle I was unable to get to and from work so I didn’t get paid for all of this time off. The car being returned to me cost me £250 at my own expense as if I didn’t pay them to drop it off on 24th May 2024, it would have been Tuesday 28th May 2024 that they would then be able to get the car to me and I couldn’t wait that long. As I was paying, I requested the car to be put on a recovery truck to be brought back to me as I didn’t want anyone else driving the car as it is 80 miles away from my home. After a few hours of paying Vouge Motor Company rang me to tell me it “won’t go on the recovery truck” despite it going on one down to them? Make it make sense … Anyway, I asked them whilst they was doing the work as they was fixing the turbo, to give me paperwork for the warrenty on it. No paperwork was issued and I have chased Vouge Motor Company for them to send this to me for weeks now. I also noticed too since having the vehicle back within the first few days the car jolts occasionally when it changes gears (it’s automatic) the jolts are still happening and are quite worrying however no one from Vouge Motor Company want to know. ——————————————————————— Initial review on purchase: Great experience with Vogue Motor Company, I dealt with Jono, he was really helpful and professional. I called up enquiring about a vehicle I was interested in and within 24 hours I had finance agreed and was in my new vehicle. He made the process very quick, easy and stress free. I would definitely use them again and recommend them to anyone wanting a quick and stress free car purchase! Thank you so much, I love my new car! :)

Sold me a car for £7500 had it 3 weeks and then due to never being able to get through to them and other things like queen's funeral shutting down the country could not through until 35 day after and they refused to take it back and instead we had to get an ace inspection done who said it was sold dangerous and had so many fault on it the inderpendant inspectore refused to drive it. They still refused to take it back. I had only driven this car now for 3 weeks and it had stood on the drive for 4 weeks and not moved. There was gearbox issues engine problems and break problems . They arranged a company to collect it and sent it to be fixed that they have then provided a receipt for a bill of around £400 ( never going to be fixed with so many faults for that) I then got to to come and collect it ( I live in Manchester) I paid for a car to be delivered and I still do not have it back and its now 2023 and this was in September. During all this I have only ever talked to someone at vouge 3 times and they have gone through the finance company oodle who also I would not recommend. ADVICE DO NOT US OR CHECK THE CAR WITH THE DEALER IF YOU DO this is still ongoing and I'll update each month on there review

Hello, many thanks for the review but you failed to mention some key things, the main one being that you wanted to return the car as it was not suitable for you. We do not hire cars out, we sell them. You cant use a car then return it. The car was collected and some minor issues were rectified and were liaised with your finance company. They are full aware of the situation and said they will arrange collection of the vehicle. Some 4 month later we are still waiting for your finance company to contact us. We have tried to speak to them but they refuse under GDPR regulations to discuss with us. So you car is fixed and ready to go.

Also had similar issues with this dealer. Still waiting for mine to be taken back. They’ve had a chance to repair. It couldn’t be repaired due to the nature of the faults. I phone them after getting the car back from the garage it was at to ask if they were going to do good by the consumer rights act and the owner told me he doesn’t stock that particular make anymore so it’s not within his interest. I told him it is the law and he said “well that doesn’t really matter does it” When told it’ll be going to my solicitors he told me he wasn’t bothered as that was what his insurance is for.
