We arranged to view a car at Volkwagen Warrington last week - paid £200 fully refundable holding fee. Arrived on time but the gent supposed to be dealing with us was running late. Another gent gave us the keys and told us to take it for a test drive (on our own) however when we got in the car it had enough fuel to go 0 miles! so I drove it around the car park as I didn't want to risk running out of fuel. We were then told what they would give us as a part ex - we were told he had been generous as it was the beginning of the month, £500 short of what we received from another garage. We then went through all the finance options, and this gent was very condescending. We said we would leave it for the time being and were told this may not be the final offer and don't let it be a deal breaker. When we said we weren't buying the car we asked for a refund of the £200.00. As the money hadn't cleared into their account we had to wait. A couple of days later we received a phone call asking for us to e mail the long number off the credit card, expiry date and security code to refund the money. We were not prepared to do this, but were told it was a secure e mail.. After speaking to a manager it was agreed to send us a cheque which we have now received. We weren't happy with the whole experience and will not be going back again.

After having visited a couple of other dealerships in Warrington it was like a breath of fresh air coming into Volkswagen Warrington. The service you receive is exceptional. James Rafferty was so professional and helpful in explaining the features of the car and taking me through the buying and part exchange process. On the day of picking up the car all went so smoothly, from signing the documents, taxing the new car and then James going through all the controls of the car, so I was comfortable to drive it off the forecourt. You what great service come here.

My partner took his Tiguan into Warrington Volkwagen for an oil change to be told that other works were necessary pushing the cost above £800. My partner agreed for the work to be carried out and a completion time was discussed to be in collected in the afternoon of that day To ensure the car would be ready my partner said he would leave the car overnight and collect first thing in the morning. On arrival of the wed morning he was told the car was not ready the mechanic was awaiting delivery of shock absorbers as this product was missed off the tue delivery. He was then told early afternoon his car would be ready. Having not received any COURTESY CALLS giving an update we assumed all was ok. At 3pm my partner decided to ring VW for an update to be told the part was still with the courier and the arrival time for the part was outside of VW control. No assurance has been given that the vehicle will be ready today. Surely it is not good customer service to take on extra works without first knowing that you have the ability to fulfill.

I'm very happy with my new car purchase the whole process was very good from start to finish. The staff at Warrington Volkswagen were very friendly and professional and there was no pressure as there is in some dealerships. In particular I would like to thank Josh Hines for explaining every aspect in laymans terms and his pleasant manner throughout.
