We used Audi Watford for the one service our new A4 Avant needed on its two year lease. With less than 10k on the clock they reported the clutch needed replacing at a cost of GBP2k+. Engineers report stated "customer has burnt out clutch". They further explained a burning smell was the main reason for the diagnosis and helpfully added that it could fail at any time. We took the car to another main dealer for a second opinion and they were shocked by our treatment . They first offered to investigate under warranty but then withdrew as there were no symptoms or reasons to suspect a fault and were happy to certify to that effect. I can only assume the Watford staff member who picked up the car for its service caused the initial problem by driving badly and this was followed up by a lack of customer service. We have a Toyota now,

Unprofessional, poor customer service and poor workmanship! Purchased an approved used Audi A6 from Watford Audi in July 2020 and it has been a train wreck ever since! I first made contact on 27/06/2020 after seeing the ad on your website, and one of your sales person was assigned to handle my purchase. The vehicle was taken part exchange the day before and required some cosmetics work and AUDI Multi Point Check. Sales person assured me that the vehicle would undergo a 149 multi point check and due to the cosmetic works needed, there would be a delay before the vehicle is ready. I was happy to wait, as I expected nothing less from a franchised dealer. After three weeks, received call from Watford Audi to say the car would be ready for collection on 18/07/2020. When I arrived at the showroom, I was presented with a gleaming car, however, the fresh respray on the front/rear bumpers and side skirts was quite noticeable. When I queried this with sales person, he said “that’s normal and that the colour would blend in after a few washes”. We went inside to complete the purchase and I went on my way. Four days into ownership, while driving on the dual carriageway, I was prompted with a warning sign on the dashboard – brake pads! After checking the brake pads, it was clear that the rear pads were very badly worn. How comes this wasn’t picked up as part of the 149 multi point check? RESPONSE FROM AUDI MANAGER apparently this is Audi's standard !!! The vehicle was collected from me on 24/07/2020 to change the rear brake pads and to sort out other issues. Vehicle was returned back to me on 31/07/2020. After driving for ten minutes, the car flagged up yet again with another warning, this time with the Active Cruise Control system. The vehicle had to go back to Watford Audi for correction works. Having followed the sales persons advice regarding the paintwork on the bumpers and side skirts, I have been washing the vehicle once a week. As at the 31/08/2020 – the paintwork has detoriated and now looks of very poor quality especially after paying a premium for a luxury vehicle. Matter was escalated to Audi UK, who then sent me to a different Audi center for a second opinion on the paintwork. Harold Wood Audi confirmed defect on paintwork. However, after all of this, Watford Audi standing their ground on - car is Audi standard and if I want the paintwork to be corrected, then I must pay. Please stay away from this dealership, as they are happy to sell a car with defects, but when you have a complaint, they don't want to know about it...

Twice I have had my A3 Audi serviced there and both times had terrible customer service from this dealership. I used to live in Brighton and had brilliant service from Caffeys in Brighton. These people are not prepared to lend you a car, nor give you a lift home even though they are in the middle of an industrial area with no public transport. On top of it, you cannot wait for your car service to be done, you have to leave the car there all day, and come back later because they don’t know how long it will take. When we fetched our car, both times, no cleaning had been done. The front floor had been vacuumed. The rest of the car was filthy and not cleaned at all. Yesterday I had to take the car back because a red light came on on the drive app. They had fiddled with something and had to be adjusted. Shocking. I will never buy another Audi unless I move away from this dealership. And I love Audi cars. If I move back to Brighton yes, another Audi but certainly not here in London. Absolutely disgraceful for a top end car.

My company car had a defective battery so I took my vehicle in for it to be changed. They had the car for almost a week for something as simple as a change of battery. When finally they called to say my car was ready, I turned up to reception. There were three people on reception. One was on her phone using an App, the other was typing away on a keyboard and another was with another customer. Not one looked up at me to ask why I was standing at the desk. All seemed totally oblivious. It wasn't until the person who was dealing with another customer had finished before I was acknowledge. Once I got the car, usually my experience with Audi is that they give a courtesy valet and car wash, but none of that. It was totally untouched and inside there was a strong smell of cigarettes, which turned my stomach. I had to drive home with my window fully open to try and get rid of the smell. There was nothing wrong with the work they did, but how much can really go wrong with changing a battery? It's just all the little things that add up. This makes me feel they are not bothered about the things that really make a difference. I certainly would not by a vehicle from this particular dealership.
recently put my car into watford audi in for brake pads, told as usual that needed discs as well as brake fluid change so decided to have it done this time.. Price went from about £450 for the pads to £1400 for all the work. Got a call from Sammie 2 hours later expecting her to say the car was ready, however this was not the case... The technician had broken a calliper while carrying out the work so they had to charge me an extra £900 for a new calliper that was unusable due to the technicians incompetence. . They said i could have the car back without it as long as i signed a disclaimer incase i killed myself!!!!! Eventually gave me 10% discount but would not accept responsibility for their actions.... Beware inferior technician called Robert A. , and service advisor Sammie G. along with their manager Simon who has the personal skills of a sloth. save yourself some money and stress and Steer clear of this lot..
Booked a test drive at Watford Audi very late on a Saturday afternoon for Sunday morning. Arrived at dealership on time after a 2 hour journey. Inspected the car, Took it for a test drive, sat at the salesmans desk about to buy, then told its already been sold. Utter disgrace. Would not recommend this garage. Doesn't even deserve 1 star!

I was overwhelmed with the customer services provided, From start to finish! I am a very difficult fussy customer which I never like to admit however this dealership went over and beyond my expectations. I was passing on the M1 and not from the area at all, I was delighted by the warm welcome on reception by a professional and extremely helpful young lady called Emily. Her infectious smile made me instantly happy and I knew I was in good hands. The sales man John Day was more than happy to spend some time with me explaining the Models and options, he was a happy gentleman and very knowledgeable. I have a little understanding of cars but John defiantly knew the ins and outs in the smallest detail. Even though I live 2 hours away from this dealership I'm certainly glad I decided to take a chance of walking in, I have ordered myself an RS6 from Watford Audi regardless of the distance, I'm excited to be collecting my new Audi in a couple of months feeling rest assured I have the best dealership looking after me. Already I have received updates by John and he has responded very quickly to all my emails. I recommend Watford Audi to everyone, they are very professional, knowledgeable and I felt like I was a family member and not just a passer-by.
I certainly would recommend this dealership to people. I found the whole process from start to finish hassle free and really professional. Chris Nicholson was amazing and was extremely knowledgeable and helpful so much so my grandson ordered his vehicle from Chris this afternoon as I was collecting mine. The manager Steve was very courteous and on hand to help which was also very reassuring. This is an outstanding dealership and I cannot speak highly enough of the team there. I am very happy with my purchase and do not often write reviews but i think other car dealerships have a lot to learn from Audi Watford.
Watford Audi is proud to be a part of the Spire Automotive Group and opened its doors at this branch back in 2007. They have a range of different models from the Audi brand in their showroom and alongside these cars they also offer repairs and servicing on site too.
